Off-Campus Housing: I actually have not lived off campus but I really want to. It is cheaper than living on campus and many of the apartment complexes that are off campus are just as close to campus as on campus housing, so i don't see why not. They are in the same vicinity as on campus apartments and are just as safe.

Diversity: The religious diversity is clearly not too heavy since it is a Christian school however how people express their faith for example, politically, is pretty diverse. I know some people that hold traditional values of the church such as traditional marriage and generally conservative views. However there are a lot of people at APU that are progressive and liberal. Also, I find that APU makes somewhat of an effort to be racially and ethnically diverse, but doesn't do the best job. A lot of my friends of different backgrounds don't always feel very comfortable or even sometimes welcomed on the predominantly white campus. In terms of economic background, it seems as though despite everyone's complaints about tuition, being broke, etc. that most kids come from a fairly financially stable background.

College Junior

Greek Life: We don't have Greek life

Athletics: School spirit is terrible. But the student involvement is getting better as the year goes on

College Junior

Nightlife: I don't party so I really wouldn't know

Off-Campus Housing: I come from a rougher part than where I am living now so I'm fine. Another thing that must be taken into consideration is that fact that I'm a male, so I don't have a problem walking at night. It would not be very smart to be walking home from campus if you're a woman.

Weather: The weather makes going to class better. It is always sunny here

4 College Junior

Off-Campus Dining: I love the variety of different places to eat

Overall Experience: My overall experience at APU has been good because I have been able to grow and learn more about who I am. I have learned more outside of the classroom than inside spiritually.

3 College Junior

Transportation: Campus shuttle takes forever I've been told. I don't take the shuttle, however, I like taking the trolley

3 College Junior

Guys & Girls: My experience will be different from your average APU student. I'm a black male who grew up in a totally different setting. People cannot relate to me here and I can't relate to the average APU student. However, I am willing to learn and try. I can't say the same for the average APU student

Parking: Need more parking spaces. Students have to walk from west campus to their home because there aren't any spaces available.

Majors: I'm a very relational person, all the connections I have is from making friendships with others. I worked in the Student Center for Reconcilation and Diversity as an undergrad intern. I had a good time but learned a lot from those in the office. Unfortunately, that office is not highly respected. They get overlooked. The pay was alright, could have been better and the time commitment was perfect due to the fact of being in school.

Majors: I am very happy with the SCRD program. If I had to do it all over again, I most certainly would. My career goals is doing something along the side of ministry. I don't really know right now but I want to work with people. I don't really have concerns about finding a job because I know it will all work out for the best

3 College Junior

Health & Safety: Wish they would be open 24 hours. They are pretty good

4 College Junior

Scholarships: I have been blessed enough to meet some important people to help out with financial aid. Every semester I have needed help and they have assisted me

2 College Junior

Campus Housing: I don't stay on campus. I only stayed my first year and I hated it. I was never home

2 College Junior

Campus Strictness: The campus of APU is very strict

2 College Junior

Local Atmosphere: It's not the best atmosphere. APU has its own bubble and atmosphere but as soon as you step foot off campus, it is completely different.

2 College Junior

Diversity: The diversity at APU is not good. They say they want to be diverse ethnically and racially but refuse to allow culturally different students influence APU as an institution. Only one agenda is pushed at that is the wealthy white culture.

3 College Freshman

Off-Campus Housing: Usually its reall expensive which makes it hard for students.

4 College Freshman

Local Atmosphere: Generally the local atmosphere feels safe and is warm towards students. There is always help readily available.

5 College Freshman

Nightlife: I grew up here and definitely know the best place to eat and go have a good time in the evenings.

If you know where to look the night life is amazing.

5 College Freshman

Health & Safety: Its great except for all the tickets you get for parking even when your in the right place or there was no sign demonstrating where you could or couldn't park.

5 College Freshman

Greek Life: There is no greek life.
