Campus Dining: Fresh Food – Heritage court food is not all that bad, it is always fresh. I suggest to buy from university dining.

Off-Campus Housing: The Price Is Fair – LA county is expensive area but the rental status for students are fair.

Local Atmosphere: Azusa is really safe and quite city in southern California. Alhamra Disneylan, Region water, City walk are close to Azusa.

Drug Safety: Drug Is Not Popular – Azusa Pacific University is a Christian college and any kind of abuses is prohibited

Weather: Suprise Me – Since this is near L.A, the weather is fantastic! There are many more sunny days than rainy days. As a person who loves rainy days, most days do not appeal to me. But, the majority of the days are excellent to do outdoor activities.

Off-Campus Housing: Go Cheap of Go Home – As a commuter, I pretty much have free rent. My parents, though, cannot afford paying for me to live there. I'm okay living at home. I have heard lots of student complain about housing expenses. Many agree that it is much more cheaper to rent an apartment, and sometimes a house, than to live on campus.

Local Atmosphere: Fresh Air – Since this college is centered in the L.A area, it is indeed a great place to be. Attractions such as the beach or the happiest place on earth, Disneyland, are just a couple of minutes away. It is a great place to be and great place to be if you want to get away from the L.A commotion. There is always something to do on campus; lots of activities such as ethnicity organizations or sports.

Overall Experience: It Gets Better – APU is truly an excellent school, however, there are some things that can be improved. Nevertheless, it has much more positive aspects than negative. So far it has being a great experience with learning, interacting with professionals, and amicable students.

3 College Freshman

Computers: Not Bad – The computers are readily available but not when midterms and finals are going on. The computers can be slow at times. some may not be functioning well. Wifi is really good. However, the internet at times can be really bad at apartments.

Campus Strictness: Rules of Parking – The school is very bad with parking and their permits. Parking permits are expensive like 100 dollars. Also, some permits don't allow you to park anywhere on campus. I have gotten 3 tickets because I was unaware of the rules

Facilities: The Music Program – I have never seen such a good music program before. It is one of the best.

Athletics: The athletic department along with its participents are very strong and determined to win and move to the next level.

Campus Strictness: the campus is more like a boarding school than a college

Athletics: they give a lot of scholarships for sports, and the teams are all pretty good

Campus Housing: The Dorms Are Better Than Average – Freshman dorms are a decent size, especially if youre not trippling. Trinity is by far the best place to live as a freshman and the newest.

1 College Junior

Greek Life: Greeks Who? The Greek life at APU is virtually non-existent. Being a Christian school there is only a small business frat.

4 College Junior

Athletics: Dominate Programs Making the Jump to NCAA Division II – APU has applied to moved from NAIA to NCAA Division II and they are well on their way to being accepted into the NCAA. For years APU has dominated its conference.

Majors: I Am Happy With My Choice of School and Choice of Art and English – I am a English with and emphasis on writing and Art major, and I am happy with my choice. I am talented at art and skilled at writing and I believe enhancing my strengths is the best path to choose because God gifted me with these talents and it is honoring to him to pursue them. My original major was biology but I discovered that wasn't the proper path for me because I didn't have a strong enough passion to last through all my classes. I am excited to see where my major leads me and hope to become involved in film and media to promote helping suffering people and touch the lives of people through written word.

Parking: Every year APU is accepting more students yet the campus has not expanded much in its need of parking accommodation for the larger crowds. Currently the parking is very inconvenient for travel to classrooms and making it to class on time. There is an immense amount of ticketing and fines because students who cant find parking in the right area are forced to park in off limits areas in order to make it to class, its a very harsh system.

4 College Freshman

Campus Housing: Community Is the Key Atmosphere on Campus Among Students and Staff – The dorms vary in their newness but each have their own flavor that adds to the environment of APU. Trinity is the newest dorms and it seems to have to have the most activity, both boys and girls always initiating some get together or study group. Walking around campus everyone is easy to smile at and receive smiles from, its very common to strike up a conversation with a random person and become acquainted and soon be friend status.

5 College Freshman

Weather: Living in the sun as a college student has been an amazing experience! I can do my homework outside if I pleased and if I am in a pinch a walk to the other campus is always pleasant. The sunshine also just makes everyone in a happy mood! Activities that happen are very rarely hindered by weather and random games will start up on the community lawn. It is beautiful here!

Guys & Girls: Students Generally All Look Great and Have Great Personalities – Most students at APU have great fashion taste and appear to put effort into their look. There are many beautiful people here inside and out! Great personalities, very open to making new friendships and the relationships are usually very genuine. Very genuine people. There is diversity at the school but not to the point where everyone is divided to their ethnicity groups, it feels very mixed.

Local Atmosphere: Awesome School Campus Environment, Poor Community, but Lots of Attractions Outside – Azusa is a small town located against the foothills of the Los Angeles area. The immediate town is not entirely safe for students to walk around at night and is small in its offering of activities and attractions. However in a car you can travel to the beach, Downtown Disney and Disneyland, awesome hiking trails in the foothills, and lots of quaint towns surrounding Azusa. There are plenty of museums including the Huntington Gardens which is beautiful and many cultural events like the renaissance fair. The local attitude towards the students is very respectable and well liked.

Scholarships: Decent, I Guess – This is really only the first big university I've ever dealt with, so I don't really have anything to compare it to, but they have a transfer merit scholarship for ALL transfer students, which helps, and they let you know about loan options and such.

5 College Sophomore

Facilities: All About Community – I love the fact that APU places so much emphasis on fellowship, community and Bible studying. It eases fears for freshmen and transfer students alike, and they place transfer students in "Transfer Teams," which many students have made lifelong prayer and study partners from. The teachers are amazing and just so full of grace it's hard to believe it!
