3 College Junior

Majors: The nursing program is thoroughly demanding and requires students to be fully committed. Responsibilities include not only studying but 12 hour clinicals once a week. No concerns about finding an internship. The department does well with integrating students into the professional healthcare field.

Majors: The nursing program is very rigorous but does a wonderful job of providing its students with a comprehensive and thorough understanding of holistic healthcare. No pressing concerns about finding a job, given the school's reputation with hospitals in the surrounding area. Professional goals include licensure and a lifelong commitment to learning how to care for people as a registered nurse. I would also like to work in local homeless shelters and provide care to those who have limited access to it.

Campus Strictness: Depends how near you are to your RA's room.

4 College Junior

Off-Campus Dining: Nothing like late night taco runs from the twenty five different Mexican Restaurants in the area.

4 College Junior

Diversity: The university makes a fair effort to address diversity. However, not all students are well-aware of their attitudes and intentions toward minorities on the campus. It is a much less diverse mindset than it is actual student population.

3 College Junior

Nightlife: If you are looking for nightlife, you will find it. If not, then feel free to hang around campus for the endless number of events residence life staff hosts.

5 College Junior

Computers: Always an open computer in the libraries. Tech support very helpful both in the computer labs as well as the computer store.

3 College Junior

Athletics: Lacking girls sports' teams. Football and basketball and comparable to other similar schools.

5 College Junior

Weather: Nothing like an 80 degree winter. We can go to the beach instead of freezing in the polar vortex. Absolutely no complaints.

4 College Junior

Scholarships: 95% of students receive aid. Financial advisors are very helpful and thorough.

Greek Life: No Greek Life on campus.

Athletics: athletics are a big part of my university--it's the community aspect involved in athletics that I enjoy most.

5 College Freshman

Majors: Applying for my program did not include any additional application procedures. I believe they were looking for students who were genuinely interested in contributing to the psychology field.

5 College Freshman

Majors: The faculty is truly inspirational--they are incredibly knowledgeable in their subject matter and are passionate about students getting all the resources and support they need to succeed

5 College Freshman

Scholarships: They are really good about providing academic scholarships and general grants to make school affordable

5 College Freshman

Academics: Incredible professors, challenging and intensive courses--overall a wonderfully academic institution

5 College Freshman

Weather: I love the weather down here--wouldn't mind a little more rain, but overall it's beautiful 90% of the time

3 College Freshman

Greek Life: We do not have any sororities or fraternities.

3 College Sophomore

Parking: There aren't enough spaces for all students in all living areas. For underclassman, they discourage having vehicles by making parking regulations strict and inconvenient.

5 College Sophomore

Scholarships: The admissions and One Stop staff are very friendly and helpful. Yes, I wish the school didn't cost as much and that there were more financial aid available, but I'm grateful for what I did receive. The scholarship weekend I attended was one of my favorite experiences at APU.
