Campus Housing: There are lost of different choices available to match just about anything someone is looking for. However the Shire is not a great place to live, with the walls being thing and the rooms small.

Local Atmosphere: The area around Azusa Pacific University is very much a college town. There are shopping centers and movie theaters across the street and several Starbucks within a mile of the school.

Parking: Usually open spots on both campuses. Occasionally parking lots are closed for special events or construction.

Facilities: I think there is something for everyone to do there. One of the programs I really like is the Center for Student Action.I got involved with one of their programs called Mexico Outreach and it is amazing! I went on a mission trip to Mexico during thanksgiving.Azusa Pacific is a great school if you're interested in doing mission work pretty much anywhere you want.

Transportation: There is a trolley for the students to take between the two campuses. Also there is a shuttle service for those students who stay late on west campus who need to go back to east campus.

4 College Freshman

Campus Dining: The caf food can be better.Other than that the food is good. There is a good selection that you can choose between the two campuses.

Health & Safety: The security is very friendly and helpful. They are student employed and so it is very easy to relate to them. If it is late and you don't feel safe walking back to you dorm alone, you can call them up no matter what time and they will bring you safely to your destination. They are open 24 hours a day and always ready to have your back.

Guys & Girls: The guys an girls are very great. Each gender is super nice and friendly and welcome the community aspect of the our school. The boys range anywhere from jocks to hipsters. Females also share a similar interest in the hipster look. They are both extremely attractive, but I think that is mostly due to the fact that they have God shining through them. Moral standards are taken into account with both genders, and usually you can find a person who puts God first in their life.

Transportation: The transportation is very well. There are two campus' so there are trolleys running all the time. If a student is out late at night and does not feel comfortable walking back to the dorms or taking the trolley so late, campus safety is available for transportation.

3 College Freshman

Nightlife: There is not much nightlife going on during the week. It is occasional during the weekends and it is mostly off campus. The nightlife would be considered average.

Campus Strictness: For a private Christian University I feel that it is not as strict as most. There is no curfew of what time you have to be back in the dorms. But they are very big on being smoke free and alcohol free on campus. It is very likely that you will get caught so just don't do it.

Diversity: The diversity on campus is like none other I've ever seen before. I've met people from around the world including Taiwan, Nigeria, and Venezuela. APU is a true, united amalgamation of different races and cultures that can connect with one another. Coming from quite an intolerant surrounding, I feel everyone has a place within the community. While may battles are being fought today, I feel none of it is at APU. There is no gay bashing, no Democrat vs. Republican, no segregation, no science vs. religion, and best of all, no intolerance.

Campus Strictness: As a guy from the party city of Las Vegas, I would assume that campus security (being composed of student workers) would only really get you if it's blatant or just plain stupid. I'm fairly sure at APU it's based on morals or just plain common sense not to circulate parties in the immediate area and such. It should be even more obvious that drinking/smoking on campus is a very dumb idea. It's strictness like this that creates sneaky people, so if you decide to do something stupid, may the odds be ever in your favor. With the difficulties of the fields, (especially mine, which is Biology soon to be Biochemistry) it would be in one's best interest to manage your time wisely. The strictness, I believe, is a bit more harsh than most "party schools" but for my own academic and social interests, it seems to be just fine.

Transportation: APU offers many transportation options 24/7 on and off campus. Alongside this, there is a bus stop near the East Campus that can take travelers around Southern California. Many commuters also offer carpools as well. However, I feel as if the availability is not very prominent, as I don't see very many options should I be in a hurry. This is why I prefer to walk or skateboard between East and West Campus since the trollies take quite a long time. Time is money as a college student, and for some people even a 10 minute wait could be detrimental to their studies, especially a difficult field like Biology.

5 College Freshman

Campus Strictness: They're very strict on drinking. You get a warning the first time, but after that you're kicked out of the University. It's not a party school at all. In fact, most people go there because there are almost no parties.

Computers: The wireless network is a hassle because it is unreliable and cannot be left on. Every time you log on to your computer, you also have to log on to the network. Also, the school has a ton of blocked websites.

Diversity: The majority of the population at APU are Caucasian. While there are still some Asians, Hispanics and African-Americans, they encompass about 20% of the entire population.

Guys & Girls: the girls are nice for the most part and so are the guys but they are not athletic

2 College Freshman

Computers: the wireless internet is not very fast and does not work sometimes.

College Senior

Majors: I plan to have an internship but I am waiting for my last semester at APU so that I can hope to get hired right after I graduate college.

5 College Senior

Majors: I am very happy with the decision that I have made because I know that communication is a very broad field and since my emphasis is media, I want to work for a social media website such as Pinterest and then eventually work my way up.

4 College Senior

Majors: Most of the professors are great and intense. Its not just any college, it is designed to make you understand the information, not just memorize it and that is what makes it challenging but that is required, I believe, in order to be more effective and successful in my Communication major

3 College Sophomore

Parking: If you're going to have a car on campus you need a permit. Where you can park depends on where you live (if you live on campus). Most have to park in the farthest parking lot which is a pain, but there is always a spot because the lot is so big.

3 College Junior

Diversity: APU is not very diverse. However, it is on of their top priorities. They're always trying to educate the campus about diversity. The Azusa community surrounding the campus, is very diverse, though

Weather: You're in Southern California, so expect plenty of sunshine and great weather.
