Campus Housing: For underclassmen dorms are nice depending on where you stay and who your hallmates are. it is a very social place, its always buzzing with people even at 5 in the morning.

Local Atmosphere: I love waking up to a view of the mountains everyday. nature wise it is a great place. There are little shopping centers all near the school which makes shopping much more easier if you don't have a car. majority of people you meet love to see the APU students out and about and want to talk to you about the school

Academics: Easy Going – I never feel stressed trying to register for classes, I always get the classes I want/need without any hassle. The professors are very friendly and actually care about your time at the school. they want to see you succeed.the workload isn't much as long as you are on top of everything.

Academics: I just declared my major before school let out for the summer so I cannot fully describe the communications program in any aspect.

Computers: Asks to Down Load Soft Ware Every Time I Use My Lap Top – It takes a long time and always asks for soft ware update each time I want to use my computer. The program also interrupts after some time. Computers are available in the computer lab. However I have never used them because I prefer to use my own so I can save my work properly.

Academics: Staff Always Available to Help – I moved from MN to CA in order to attend Azusa Pacific University. Comparing to other graduate school Azusa is cheaper. In addition professors and advisors are always willing to help students. If I have any question I can reach my professor on phone or email.

Academics: Grade Doesn't Reflect My Knowledge – I have to read the entire book in order to understand the subject matter. I am not focused on memorizing and getting good grade. That way i will able to provide my patient with quality care.

Guys & Girls: All About Looks – The girls dress up for class and both guys and girls highly focused on fitness.

3 College Senior

Off-Campus Dining: Not a Huge Fan of Fast Food – There's a good selection of fast food around campus but it gets tiring after a while and not all places offer a student discount.

Parking: On APU's East Campus, parking is a nightmare. You really have to arrive at least 20 minutes before your class to get a spot, and even then it can be cutting it close. On West Campus, there is tons of parking, and there is a trolley available to shuttle students between the two campuses, but it is honestly a huge pain to park on West Campus and then take the trolley to East.

Majors: History/Political Science Department – The professors of both History and Political Science are incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about these subjects. As a result, students are motivated to be excited as well. The department also provides tons of resources for students regarding career/internship opportunities, conferences, lectures, etc.

Majors: Physical Education – The PE program here is very good. You could say it's pretty easy. The workload is not bad at all. Most of your hard work will come from other classes like gen eds and stuff. The professors are very knowledgeable and seeing how this profession is teaching, teaching is not a problem for them. It's also very easy to schedule classes because there are people who help you and they also send you emails letting you know about certain opportunities for work or experience that have come up.

Majors: Major Admission – Getting into the physical education department was no problem. No interview and no waiting. In my opinion, if you're passionate about this then it shouldn't be very hard of a major. But I know people who have struggled in classes which is why I mention this. There are some classes that require you to go off campus which might be the hardest thing if you can't find a ride or car of your own.

4 College Sophomore

Majors: I haven't had an internship or anything like that, but I know that I might have to later in the future. Seeing as APU has very good professors that help you out, finding a good internship whether on or off campus is very likely.

3 College Sophomore

Campus Dining: Pretty Good – There is a pretty good variety of different foods to choose from on campus, but there are times when the food isn't good quality or just doesn't taste good.

3 College Sophomore

Transportation: APU does have trolleys that run for most of the day and they're good for getting from campus to campus, but at times, they can be crowded. The trolleys don't take you to other areas in Azusa, but there are public buses that you can pay a small fee to take to different places. The best option, if possible, would be to bring your car or catch rides with someone who has a car.

Overall Experience: APU is a University devoted to helping students succeed. There are many educational options at the school for all kinds of people. So far, my experience has been great. I have met wonderful professors and peers that provide me with support and encourage me through the hard days at school. If your are looking for a school that will push you, then APU is the right school.

Academics: I have been at APU for only one semester but I am very happy with my education thus far. The professors are very passionate and the access to any school materials is very easy. Being an APU student does take a great deal of motivation and commitment but the hard work and support gained from each professor along the way is what will push each person to succeeded.

Guys & Girls: Christian School – The school is a Evangilical Christian University, and the students come from all walks of life. Being at a Christian school is more personal and the students are all on the same page.

Academics: Outstanding Nursing Program – I came to Azusa Pacific because of it's reputation for the nursing program. I am finishing up my first semester of nursing school, which has been great, and I could not be happier. From the stimulation labs, classroom discussions, and hospital clinical experiences, I must say that my education will be well worth it. All my professors are greatly involved in helping all the students, and each have an immense passion for the nursing field.

Weather: It's Southern California! Azusa is at the base of the canyon, so the mountains are beautiful and the weather is warm! Even when there's snow on the mountain

Off-Campus Dining: SO Much Mexican Food!! Between the freeway and my off campus house (8 blocks) there are 10 mexican food places... on one street.

Local Atmosphere: Not Too Much Except in Pasadena – students do not have much to do in the area of Azusa but Pasadena is not all that far away

Majors: Nursing Program – the process to get into the Azusa nursing program, is a challenging one indeed. i was caught in the process as they were changing policies and therefore i was left in the dust to fend for myself. Before the policies changed, in order for your file to even be looked at, you had to have three pre requisites completed (and you had to be on a wait list to even get these classes) and then an outstanding GPA and admission letter. Now, they are excepting freshman, and automatically putting them into the pre reqs, so that they are ready their sophomore year to start the program. they have definitely changed for the better but it was a horribly sticky situation for those of us who were left still trying to get into the program, yet they were accepting freshman, so i did not have a good experience at first, but if i were a freshman today i believe that it would have been a much easier process.

4 College Junior

Majors: Nursing Program – I am in a nursing program that truly dedicates their time to ensure the education of their students. There are a mere thirteen students that started the program with me, and the professors main concerns are the students.
