Local Atmosphere: overall the atmosphere is great. its in a beautiful city and had a marvelous view of the san gabriel mountains. the mall is very close and is highly maintained and the area around the city is amazing.

Off-Campus Dining: There are a total variety of food places and restaurants to around APU that would satisfy whatever type of food you want whether it me Mexican, Chinese, mediterranean, etc. Places cheap and expensive, whatever you are willing to pay for.

3 College Senior

Drug Safety: alcohol is prevented as much as possible by the staff. But the bible does not preach against alcohol so it is one of the common things you would hear about on campus

3 College Senior

Athletics: APU athletics are very competitive but they are a third division so although they are good they are not first division

3 College Senior

Facilities: The facilities provide what the students need on campus.

3 College Senior

Facilities: The facilities we have are a nice blend between traditional on one campus, and modern on the other. The architecture on our West Campus creates a beautiful and relaxing atmosphere for both academic and social activities.

3 College Senior

Off-Campus Dining: The restaurants surrounding Azusa Pacific University are pretty nice but some healthier options would be great.

4 College Senior

Academics: The accounting program just started a Masters of Accountancy Program and it is a fantastic way to prepare the students for being a CPA

4 College Senior

Academics: The business program is wonderful. The professors make themselves available for you for whatever you need and they push to get you opportunities that will set you up for a successful future.

4 College Junior

Campus Dining: There are many eating options on campus. I really enjoy Sam's Subs, Cornerstone Coffee, and Heritage Court. If you get tired of food on campus, there are plenty of options walking distance from campus :)

3 College Junior

Scholarships: Based on my High School GPA, I received a scholarship of $7000 that I continue to receive every year.

4 College Junior

Academics: Being an accounting major at Azusa Pacific University is great! APU is opening a new school of accounting this year and the professors and staff are very helpful. I enjoy my major of accounting at Azusa.

4 College Junior

Academics: I am greatly impressed with the academics at Azusa Pacific University! The professors truly care about EVERY single student that they have in class. One on one opportunities with professors are amazing because students can truly get help when they need it! I STILL love APU!

Drug Safety: APU is VERY strict about drugs and alcohol and it ground for expulsion if you are caught under the influence of either. As such, its presence is very subdued, and while it DOES still exist on campus, it is very well hidden and only done by particular groups of individuals.

4 College Sophomore

Academics: As I stated previously, while the academics are very challenging at APU, it is all for good cause, as how are you expected to better yourself if not challenged? The academic resources are plentiful and the wonderful professors make themselves available to help you in any way they can.

4 College Sophomore

Academics: The school is very challenging in comparison to other Southern California colleges, however there are a myriad of academic resources available to students at Azusa Pacific and the professors are absolutely top notch and personally invested in seeing you succeed.

4 College Sophomore

Academics: I am currently enrolled in the Nursing Program. Though this program is difficult to get in to, the professors and other directors of the school are very helpful and will do anything to see you succeed. However, it is a difficult program as you must maintain a certain GPA. The Professors of course expect a lot, so time management is something that must be learned quickly! The class sizes are small which allows unique and critical time with your Professors.

Transportation: Transportation between the two campuses is extremely reliable. There are multiple trolleys running between the two sites, which never make you wait longer than 7 minutes during the day and around 15 minutes at night. However, if you are running late you can always walk between campuses as it is only a half mile distance. For those that live off campus or have their vehicles on the West Campus lot, there is the Campus Safety shuttle which is extremely reliable as well. You call them and they can be there to give you a lift in a matter of minutes. For transportation around the city, the public buses are very accessible.

Greek Life: There is no Greek life at APU. We do not have sororities or fraternities. There are a couple organizations that are sorority/fraternity like but they are for certain majors, like nursing. This probably has to do with APU's moral system and discouraging of excessive drinking or promiscuity, which are sometimes associated with Greek life in the media. This does not mean that student life is less active or resident community non-existent. Residence life is strong because of the bond formed between fellow residents, room-mates, and RA's. There is one all-boy dorm (Smith) and one all-girl dorm (Adams) that are akin to sororities and fraternities without the partying shown in movies. The two other freshman dorms (Engstrom and Trinity) are co-ed but only as a whole because each floor is gender-specific. There are no co-ed halls at APU. Dorms are only for freshman and then you move on to apartments/mini houses called the Shire mods when you are an upper-classman.

Transportation: School trolleys run throughout the day, but some are hard to catch on time to make it to class. This is free, but costs to park personal cars are extremely high.

Campus Housing: On campus living is pretty awesome, you grow closer with your community and you are apart of the school because the social atmosphere that opens up when that happens is so incredible. I've made long lasting friends here and on-campus housing really makes that easier!

4 College Senior

Campus Dining: Go to Sam's Subs! It's the best. Mexicali is pretty good too. The dining hall can be hit or miss but its a lot of fun to go with a big group and you can always come up with something creative there! They just opened a Chick-Fil-A across the street that you can use your Cougar Bucks for, you should check it out!

4 College Senior

Health & Safety: I feel really safe and comfortable with my community of students, but the off campus activity is where most of my concern lies.

5 College Senior

Majors: I got right in and I haven't really encountered any problems.

3 College Senior

Nightlife: Night life at APU is not determined by the bar/club scene. We are a dry campus and a Christian school. We have fun without all that stuff, and its even better!
