Parking: I do not own a car, so I am not sure if my answers may be accurate. Any who, I believe the cost is a bit expensive; however, of course the more credits or the longer you are a student there the more priorities you get. Parking is not too bad, but during chapel hours drivers should wish their car can fly. Other than that, I think parking is not too bad.

Guys & Girls: There are a lot of beautiful girls at APU. Men are in minority at APU. It can be an adjustment being a male coming into an environment where the ratio of girls to guys is 2 or 3 to 1.

Parking: I thought the parking passes were a little expensive at 110 in addition to the cost of housing. I never had any trouble finding parking on either campus.

Nightlife: From what I experienced, there was not to much of a nightlife at APU. There is a local bar that a lot of students from APU go to and there are parties at houses that people have.

Diversity: Primarily Caucasian. There are many different races at APU overall.

Academics: The professors genuinely care about their students. Although many professors have office hours, many of them are willing to go out of their way, past their business hours to answer any questions, sit down and drink coffee, or eat lunch with students.

4 College Sophomore

Scholarships: It is very easy to get scholarships, based on financial aid, extracurricular activities, or good grades. If you are involved with anything at school, it is most likely you are given some sort of financial aid.

Drug Safety: No drugs are allowed on campus. Those who do have drugs in their possession or are around those who are doing drugs get scolded and disciplined.

Nightlife: Although drinking and partying is prohibited, there are many other great things to do. Since APU is close to Pasadena, many students go to Old Town Pasadena to visit the shops and enjoy the food. Students can also partake in night hiking. It is a lot of fun to hike in the dark with the moon as your light.

Campus Dining: I haven't had an opportunity to eat at the dining halls

Majors: I am very happy with my program. I am being trained by industry professionals, and professors who are heavily invested in their students as well as the field of study. I would like to write, direct, produce and of course act on stage and film. Here at APU, I am learning to do all that i am interested in and more! If I could do it again, I would change a few things which I'm sure anyone in any field of study would be able to say about their program. It is tough for an actor to get into the entertainment industry as a "big name," however this program is flexible enough that I have the ability to work in community theaters and professional theater while I am a full time student, which allows me to build my theatrical résumé so that I have a higher chance of getting work after graduation.

Majors: The process of getting into my program was simple. Being a theater department, you admission into the program is solely based upon your audition process more than your academic success and extra curricular activity involvement. I had to prepare a 16 bar audition piece, and two one-minute monologues and perform them in front of the department chair. A week later, I was admitted into the program. Obviously one would need to have initial talent in order to be admitted into the program.

Off-Campus Dining: Restaurants are probably what Azusa has the least of near campus. There is a lot of fast food, McDonalds, Jack in the Box, Burger King, Panda Express, The Habit, Little Caesars and Pizza Hut. However if you have the transportation or willing to make that drive about 10 miles from campus there is an island of restaurants to enjoy.

Majors: As an Athletic Training Major, especially at APU, there are many opportunities to explore your major from internships to actual paying jobs while still in the program. I personally was able to work with a volleyball team and under an Athletic Director during games to get the experience of what it will be like when I graduate and actually walk into a job.

Greek Life: I never was really apart of anything there! As far as I know there was no Greek Life.

Local Atmosphere: There are a lot of cute towns near APU such as Pasadena, Downtown Glendora, and West Covina. LA is not too far either, and you can just take the metro to about anywhere you'd like. Also, the beach is not too far so when it is hot, just grab a few friends and drive to the beach.

Diversity: There are a lot of Caucasians of course. Since my freshman year to now, the diversity of the school has increased exceptionally. The amount of Asians have increased. There are also a good amount of hispanics and African Americans. There are all sorts of clubs and organizations for everyone to feel that they fit in somewhere.

Scholarships: I received a decent amount of financial aid, but it was not as as I thought it should be. The idea of "cougar bucks" or turning left over aid from loans and scholarships into cougar bucks that you can use for on-campus expenses is nice, but when you need it for utilities and groceries, it is not so great. Make sure you know just exactly how much you need to spend for books and meals and only turn that specific amount into cougar bucks.

Weather: You pretty much get all of the seasons here at APU. When school starts in the Fall, the weather is pretty hot so it's perfect to go to the beach. As Thanksgiving approaches, it starts to get cold and it rains. The rain isn't too bad. As long as you have rain boots, you'll be fine. When Spring semester starts, it is still a bit cold, but it does begin to warm up. Sometimes, the weather does become "bi-polar" as APU students say, where it'll be really hot in the 80-90's for a few days and then suddenly become gloomy and rainy.

Campus Housing: The freshman dorms are average. The upperclassmen live in apartments that are across the street from main campus, making it easy to get to classes. It provides you a sense of privacy compared to freshman dorms.

4 College Junior

Academics: The class sizes are smaller than other universities, making it easier for you to get the help you need. In addition, it is never the teacher's aid teaching the course material, but the actual professor who not only has the degree, but clinical or field experience in the course subject.

Academics: I'm at Azusa Pacific University, and I've been satisfied with my education so far. I am a Nursing Major, and all of my professors are experienced Nurses with different levels of degrees. They challenge us to be the best nurses possible before we go into the hospitals.
