5 College Sophomore

Scholarships: The admissions and One Stop staff are very friendly and helpful. Yes, I wish the school didn't cost as much and that there were more financial aid available, but I'm grateful for what I did receive. The scholarship weekend I attended was one of my favorite experiences at APU.

Drug Safety: I feel very informed about drug safety and the university policies. Most students uphold the policies. I have never had an issue on campus.

1 College Sophomore

Greek Life: We don't have traditional Greek Life, but we do have academic fraternities.

4 College Sophomore

Health & Safety: I fell very safe and secure on campus with our Campus Safety Officers. I really like having a counseling center on campus, but I think our Health Center is mediocre.

4 College Sophomore

Academics: I love the faith integration within the classroom. I really appreciate the Honors College and the efforts they are making to make this university a more prestigious university to attend.

4 College Sophomore

Athletics: We have great teams that perform well and have a growing community of School Spirit.

Campus Strictness: I feel like I have enough rules to keep a safe, respectable campus culture, while enough freedom to live as an independent adult.

Weather: So Cal Sun - Is there anything better?

3 College Sophomore

Off-Campus Dining: A lot of restaurants right across from campus ranging from ethnic cuisine to fast food to frozen yogurt to sit down restaurants. There's a lot to choose from but not always cost effective.

3 College Sophomore

Diversity: Diversity is a hot topic of conversation on campus. APU as an institution is certainly making strides through admissions and recruitment to add diversity. Students on campus enjoy conversations and engaging in diversity for the most part.

College Sophomore

Nightlife: I don't participate much in the nightlife

4 College Sophomore

Campus Housing: I love our RezLife department and campus housing. The school fosters great community.

4 College Sophomore

Local Atmosphere: I love living close enough to LA to seek out experiences, while being far enough from the city to create a college culture.

3 College Sophomore

Transportation: There isn't a lot of campus-sponsored transportation. However, there is a lot of convenient public transportation near campus. A lot of students have cars and are willing to carpool.

3 College Freshman

Local Atmosphere: The town during the day is fine, but at night people who are up to no good come out. What these people do at night make looking at stuff during the day not fun.

4 College Junior

Campus Housing: dorms are pretty nice compared to CSU schools, but every year they take more and more freshmen so dorms are becoming more packed than before

Weather: Sunny California, what else would you expect

1 College Junior

Greek Life: No Greek Life man! I was in a sorority at my old school and i miss it a lot!

APU doesn't want a greek life because it doesn't want to be affiliated with the "stereotypes", which in my opinion is dumb because my sorority taught me so many leadership skill and helped me grow in so many ways than I thought was possible

4 College Junior

Drug Safety: Drugs aren't really a issue here. There are a lot of MJ users, but hey weed doesn't hurt anyone.

3 College Junior

Diversity: when it comes to heritage a majority of people are white, but i'v never really seen any bad discrimination based off color.

Homosexual discrimination is pretty bad. But there are those like me that accept the gay

Because this is a Christian campus there are many conservative people here! I am a huge victim of being put down for my actions or because i'm not a "perfect christian"

3 College Junior

Nightlife: Apu is really strict on the no parting policies! About 40% of the people are open partiers and 15% are closet partiers lol. Big rager parties are rare and don't happen that often. Most parties consist of kickbacks, especially once your jr year hits. since APU is such a small school all the partiers eventually get to know who the fellow partiers are. In saying that if you are going to be apart of the party crowd be careful what you post and who you talk to about parties, especially if you still live on campus!!

my freshmen year i was put on social probation for simply being at a party, even though i was sober!

Freshmen and Sophomores don't be stupid holding dorm parties in your room or on-campus apartments because more than likely you will get caught and it's not worth it.

5 College Junior

Off-Campus Housing: Because its in Azusa finding an affordable house or apartment is pretty easy and cheaper than on campus housing if you co-rent with a couple other people. But if you want a place on your own there isn't really anything all that affordable

4 College Junior

Majors: This school has really good health and science majors, so if that is what you wanna go into APU is a good choice for that. Business is pretty good, not as good as other school but still pretty good. Music and Film are also really good here. and obviously Biblical studies and theology is a huge thing here since APU is a christian college.

4 College Junior

Majors: I went to another school and they had an amazing business program! Always holding networking events and the classes were a lot more challenging. At APU they do put on a couple of activities for networking but not as many as my old school. APU's teachers are really approachable and nice so that is one upside of it. Their business study abroad programs are great also!

4 College Junior

Athletics: the football team has gotten a lot better since my freshmen year. Basketball has always been good. I don't follow baseball here that much but people still go to the games. both woman's and mens soccer are really good! Acro and tumbling is amazing! Cheer is still a club sport on campus.
