5 College Freshman

Campus Housing: The campus housing is very easy to understand and there are many options to choose from. The freshmen live in the dorms, the sophomores live in the little module homes on campus or the apartments across the street, and the juniors and seniors pick the university villages or apartments. For freshmen, I would suggest living in Engstrom because it's very spacious compared to the other dorms, and there is a shared bathroom system instead of community bathrooms.

Majors: There is a wide variety of Majors to choose from. Each college professor is very intelligent and knowledgeable in their field of study. Almost everyone can get into the major of their choice, but specific majors like nursing require a little more criteria for admission.

Majors: The workload can be anywhere from manageable to overwhelming. The professors know what they are teaching and strive to help students improve in their area of study.

Health & Safety: Campus safety is usually around when you need them. Anytime we want a ride late at night back from West Campus, they come pick us up. Also, the Health Center is so helpful. They have little "sick bags" that you can take when you have a cold or a fever, and when you get hurt, they are Johnny on the Spot with ice packs, braces, crutches, etc.

Off-Campus Dining: There is everything from Indian to Japanese to Chinese to Mexican to pizza to fast food. The student discounts vary from great deals to nonexistent, but sometimes when you're a regular, they give you discounts just because they like you. The owners of smaller restaurants get to know you and your order. It feels like my own town now.

Campus Dining: There is a lot of great and diverse food on campus. It's not 5 stars, but there is plenty of variety. Every once in a while you get tired of food on campus, but there are many places across the street for a change a few times a semester.

College Sophomore

Greek Life: We don't have Greek life at my school, so please disregard the last two answers.

Majors: For liberal studies, the professors are awesome and connect you to great teachers within the area for you to shadow. There are also lots of opportunities for experience.

Majors: I want to be a teacher, but I'm not sure if I want to do it in the United States yet. The staff and faculty have been so accommodating in helping me choose classes while figuring out what I want to do, and still aiming to get me done in four years. I have no concerns about finding a job. Many professors or other staff at school have already mentioned that they would recommend positions for me at schools around them. I am very satisfied with the programs here.

Campus Housing: It may be a little old, but plenty of space!

Health & Safety: Campus safety works really hard to protect their students. N/A to health because I have never been to the health center on campus.

College Freshman

Athletics: I don't do anything sports related.

4 College Freshman

Scholarships: The school provides scholarships for their students, especially those that have positive GPA's from high school with good standing merit from high school. Also, you can do a private loan outside of APU to help cover the costs and that helped me out a lot.

College Freshman

Off-Campus Housing: I'm a commuter student that lives at home with parents.

College Freshman

Transportation: I'm a commuter student with my own vehicle so, N/A

Parking: The parking is fine in certain areas--there is one parking lot that is extremely huge and there is never any trouble parking there. But all the other parking lots are like high school parking lots--sort of small and limited. Permit is expensive and just follow the parking rules and you won't have to worry about getting tickets/fined. You don't need a car as there are trolleys but I like having the convenience of a car so I don't have to wait for the trolley, especially when there are a plethora of students waiting for it.

Academics: Nursing major is challenging but a lot of fun.

Diversity: New and different faces almost everywhere.
