4 College Sophomore

Off-Campus Dining: There are many different places to eat off campus fast food and restaurants.

4 College Sophomore

Local Atmosphere: There is a lot to do in Kansas City. It's not always right down the street though.

5 College Sophomore

Computers: There is usually a computer open in library. Finals week is the only time they could be all taken but you are able to check out a lab top if needed.

4 College Sophomore

Off-Campus Housing: There are several places to live off campus but you have to figure it all out on your own. There are apartment style dorms on campus and that is where the school wants you to stay. The cost is cheaper off campus.

3 College Sophomore

Scholarships: Wish I could have received more aid

5 College Sophomore

Facilities: The campus is well kept and up to date

Drug Safety: I am a grad student, and I am only on campus to attend classes

Transportation: My campus is too small for transportation plus I've always lived on campus so I wouldn't know what it's like to take a shuttle or a taxi to get in campus.

Off-Campus Dining: Around campus, there's plenty to do and a variety of places to eat. The restaurants are ones you won't see around every corner with the same service quality as expected at sit-down restaurants. I love to eat at the sushi bar near or college! My friends and I treat ourselves to it and it's a nice place to chill and eat great food.

Academics: The academics at Avila university are focused and interesting. I look forward to going to class every day. The teachers aren't afraid to get close to their students on a personal level and there aren't favorites. Everyone gets treated equally and (since I'm an art student) self expression is encouraged.

Academics: I've been a student in the art therapy program at Avila University for about a year now, this is my third semester. I love what I'm learning. The campus is small, the classes are more student-focused than bigger schools, which I like. My instructors are knowledgable and want to see me succeed in the classroom.

2 College Senior

Computers: I haven't use the computer labs, but the WiFi is spotty at best. The system tends to go down more time than I would like.

3 College Senior

Majors: I'm in the processs of earning my degree in Music. Those I think there should more classes that are related to music add to this major

Facilities: Avila is very open to other cultures in their student body. There are always students from other countries everywhere on campus. I personally am an active member of Campus Ministries and I hear on a daily basis what Avila stands for and what makes our school so special. We are sponsored by the Sisters of Carondelet and see one or two sisters walking around campus daily. Avial University is also open to other religious views, as I said before, there are many other students from other countries.

4 College Sophomore

Health & Safety: Campus Safety is always around. You will see them everywhere on campus and I feel very safe. Although there has been some crime on campus, such as theft, Campus Safety does a very good job making sure everyone knows what to do to protect yourslef from whatever people are taking (car parts, electronics, ect., ect.)

2 College Sophomore

Parking: There is not enough parking for anyone. Especially commutors, but also those who live on campus. When you can find a spot to park, it's not bad, but you 're not gauranteed a spot when you need one.

4 College Sophomore

Facilities: Ther are a lot of activities Avila offers to students outside of class. I always feel safe when I am on campus and I have fun at the different things they offer us. The Eagels Nest is one of my favorite spots on campus. There is a pool table and ping pong table. Computers to use and a flat screen tv. It's always clean and looks very nice every time I go down there.

3 College Sophomore

Athletics: This school is small so we don't have Intramural sports. Pretty much everyone lives off campus so no one comes to campus just to hangout. Our weight room is very small and outdated. We have to share the field and the weight room with other sports.

2 College Sophomore

Campus Dining: The food here isn't to die for. I mean if your hungry you'll eat it but nothing spectacular.

2 College Sophomore

Guys & Girls: Its a small school so its not like you get to meet alot of people everyday. But its also fun because it isnt hard to know and get along with every. Its also no fun going to the games and not alot of people showing up because the school is so small. I'm from Texas where football means everything so we have wuite a few people there at all the games so coming to this school was a big change.

3 College Sophomore

Weather: They are thoughtful of student safety. When it snows hevily they cancel classes knowing that it may be difficult for students to get to class. We have a lot of students who live off campus so its tougher for them to make it in the snow.

5 College Sophomore

Guys & Girls: I was very shocked the first year studying at Avila, because everyone knew everyone else and they all liked each other! I was used to a very cliquey high school, and seeing pretty much everyone being friends just made me happy to be there even more.

3 College Sophomore

Off-Campus Dining: There is not much to eat right around Avila, but if you hop on the Kansas side or go into Martin City, you can get some really good food. Jack Stack and Oklahoma Joe's are about 10-15 minutes away in opposite directions.

4 College Sophomore

Academics: I came to Avila University because I fell in love with the size of the campus, the staff, and the students I met the first day I visited. Avila is the perfect size to meet plenty of people and join in on activities, but isn't too big. All of the professors I had last year encouraged me to care about my education and even classes I have previously disliked, they showed me the positives of learning World History.
