3 College Freshman

Guys & Girls: There is a wide range of people from many countries. Some of the people in my hall aren't very good, very noisy at times, but outside of there I haven't met anyone I haven't liked.

4 College Freshman

Campus Housing: Campus housing at aveerett is ok. The dorms are co-ed so thats kind of a plus. But the authority from the RA's isnt where it needs to be. i think they can do better. The dorms called danville, davenport and bishopo have no airconditioning, so you must bring your own cooling unit from home, thats not good. But fugate does have ac and heat.

Athletics: varsity sports at my school are important but not as important as a big divisin 1 college's sports. The Averett University football team isn't that good and hasn't been for a few years now. Students show up to attend games but the football team just cant pull through with a win. The basketball team is quite alright. Many students go to basketball games. Our womens soccer won the confrence championship this year, that was a feat. But on the other hand our mens soccer didnt.

Off-Campus Dining: there are many places to dine that's near my school. We have a cookout, mcdonalds, burgerking and many more places like these because the school is in a city. we also have the small town resturaunts such as oriental and sub places and local owned resturaunts. We also have the big named resturaunts to such as buffalo wild wings, outback stakehouse and red lobsters. So dining options are great near my school.

Majors: I thought the process of enroll went very smoothly.

4 College Junior

Majors: I do enjoy the program that Averett offers off campus. I am a working adulting with small children and the program is excelerated so I can obtain the degree quicker than traditional colleges.

4 College Sophomore

Transportation: Public transportation is avaliable, but I do not typically use it because I have a car on campus. However, I do know that it follow the daily class schedules.

4 College Sophomore

Guys & Girls: You will find all sorts of guys and girls at Averett University. I feel like everyone can find a group of close guys and girls that have the same interests as them. There are sports groups, theatre groups, clubs, and student activity groups. They guys and girls at Averett are all very different. There is not one specific type or personality for the guys and girls.

Transportation: I rarely uses the transportation, I have everything I need at the school.

3 College Freshman

Weather: The weather has been good so far, not to hot and not to cold, just right.

4 College Sophomore

Off-Campus Housing: Cheaper than on campus but not allowed until sr year

5 College Freshman

Guys & Girls: There are all sorts of different people here; city, country, and all in between. I have made friends from this state, boring states, vermont, and other countries. It is a very diverse school. There are a lot of southern girls though!

2 College Freshman

Scholarships: We had a really hard time coordinating with the finical aid office; but Averett did give me a $13,000 scholarship. Even though i come from a poorer family, i wish i would have gotten more money because now i have no way to pay for books.

Campus Dining: How good the food is depends on how early you get to the dinning hall. If you happen to be done of the first ones there its pretty great. It does get kind of old though, there is pizza and salad everyday, so if you don't like some of the other stuff, you an always count on that.

5 College Freshman

Weather: Classes are close to the dorms, and the weather is pretty mild. It was a little sticky and muggy in August, but it wasn't to bad for a VA summer. So far fall has been really nice, breezy and a little chilly, but perfect hoodie and jeans weather, nothing to cold, and its a nice change from the heat.

3 College Freshman

Greek Life: Their is only one advertised fraternity, which i am surprised we have at all considering how small our school is. It isn't a huge deal if you are a part of this frat or not, whats more important at Averett is the sports.

4 College Junior

Academics: Hands-On Experience – Athletic Training students get hands-on experience during their freshman year and it just escalates from there.

3 College Junior

Academics: My Majors Are Available – Overall good majors with advisers that are willing to help.

4 College Junior

Overall Experience: So Much Diversity! Averett prides itself on the diverse student population for good reason.

3 College Junior

Off-Campus Housing: Very Affordable – Danville, VA in general is a very affordable place to live, this applies to housing seniors can apply for as well.

3 College Junior

Campus Dining: Needs More Variety – The food is usually pretty decent, but it can get repetitive quickly.

Weather: As with most weather in the Carolinas, Virginia's weather can be cold then hot. It varies by season and by year; some years are colder than others.

4 College Junior

Academics: I have really enjoyed the acedemics at Averett University. The professors are nice, the registration process wasnt very difficult, the advisors are very helpful, the classes arent very stressful, there is always available tutoring, and the atmosphere provided makes for fun and interesting classes.

5 College Junior

Scholarships: Very Nice – I recieved a financial package within weeks of submition of my application. I chose this school because the scholarships were incredible and the process to get it was simple and there was always someone there to help point you in the right direction.

4 College Junior

Guys & Girls: The people on the campus are exceptionally nice. They are very helpful and friendly. The students are willing to help one another and it is easy to meet new people. There is a lot of variety at Averett University. There are pretty girls, hot girls, natural girls, sweet girls, smart girls, and same with the guys. There are cute guys, fun guys, weird guys, and pretty much any type of person you are looking for. There are a lot of athletic people there as well. Some international students attend Averett too which is awesome because you can learn about their culture and where they come from.
