2 College Freshman

Nightlife: Alright... The Nightlife. Here's your Ave nightlife in a painfully truthful summary, there's the Pub, there's the Gazebos, there's the infrequent single sex dorm room party (or the both which ends by midnight and will have RA's stopping by), then there's a few other locations that will pop up now and then, not as popular but that's for good reason.

I'll describe a typical weekend night here, at least from a party perspective. You'll hang out in a dorm room for a bit, with your friends. Around 10, you'll mosey over to the Pub, hang out there until 2. At 2 when the pub closes, you'll head to the Gazebos, they're in a field between all the dorms, decent size. Someone usually brings out speakers and now you'll hang out here until you decide to go to bed, or security stops by and depending on the person sometimes will give you a hard time.

Honestly that^ happens more often than not. There's a few exceptions now and then, and different groups of people do different things. It's not a party school. But, if you meet some good people- which is easy to do, you can make your fun.

1 College Freshman

Nightlife: 5th avenue in Naples (35 min drive) is the best option for a saturday night (21 and older obviously)

4 College Freshman

Nightlife: There are many options for activities all around. I am not sure about the options for students 21+ years old, but there are several options for students under 21. Everything is close enough and safe enough to walk or bike to, so transportation is not an issue.

3 College Senior

Nightlife: Lots of Fun but Not Too Much Outrage – There are no clubs but there is a pub just off campus.

1 College Sophomore

Nightlife: Ghost Town – The entire town shuts down at 7pm. The school is located 40 miles away from any civilization. Literally nothing to do on campus which leads to lots of drug use and underage drinking.

Unfortunately for the students at Ave Maria, there is virtually no nightlife on campus. There are parties from time to time, but they aren't enough to justify any kind of nightlife on campus. Naples is approximately 30 minutes from campus and offers pubs and other places to go out at night. For underage students, it's more or less the same situation. Although entertainment can be found on campus, many students find it to be insufficient.

Of course, students can still find things to do on or near campus, such as hanging out with friends in the student lounge, going out to eat at The Pub or The Bean, or getting involved in a bunch of clubs and intramural sports. However, if the goal is to get off campus, be warned that you'll be driving no less than 30 minutes, possibly more, depending on your final destination. So, if you're looking for nightlife at Ave Maria, be prepared to fill up on gas or find something else to do on the weekends besides hitting the city because Ave Maria isn't exactly the place for nightlife.
