Computers: Austin Peay has many computer labs in buildings across campus. However, these labs often have limited hours and have classes scheduled in them. WiFi is offered if you want to bring your own personal computer. The library is full of nice computers but once again the hours are not ideal for a college student.

Campus Strictness: The school is quick to give you a ticket and their arent enough parking lots.

3 College Freshman

Drug Safety: We Don't Do Drugs – The drug scenes are really not a big problem but the student sure do enjoy drinking but not on campus.

3 College Freshman

Greek Life: Some of the student view the Greek as stuck up people. Some organzation barely be on campus. However, everybody think my sorority is friendly and outgoing. We speak to everyone and we do not hold i nose upat anyone.

4 College Junior

Overall Experience: This school is close to where I live which is the most important to me.

Parking: The parking here is okay. The only problem is that you have designated parking spots for each housing dorm and for faculty. So if you park somewhere that your not supposed to, you have to pay a fine of 25 dollars. But after 4:30 pm, you can park in the faculty parking as well as commuter parking.

Nightlife: Night Life at the Peay – on weekdays, the bar scene is pretty hype if your 21 + up. Most parties and things takes place on the weekends. Some of the best parties are at the Cumberland Room and The Island. Every thursday night, though, at the warehouse is college night, where college students 18 + up get in free until 10:00. People get pretty into that and they have a pretty good time. But if you absolutely need to do something at night during the week, you can always drive to nashville, which is only 45 mins. away.

Off-Campus Dining: There are alot of excellent resturants and fast food places to dine at in Clarksville and their all within 15 miles driving distance of campus. There open most hours of the night and some offer student discounts. Some of the ones I would recommend would be Old Chicago and Applebee's. They are the ones most college students here go to. There's also a few bars, pizza place and chinese within walking distance of campus so if you don't feel like driving, you could hang there. It's also very popular.

Weather: It rains a lot, but classes are relatively close together so it is not hard getting from class to class.

Scholarships: Giving Support – Who isn't happy that they are getting money for school? Financial aid did their best and gave every student the amount he or she deserved. Even if some had some mishaps, financial aid was always there to provide help.

Transportation: Peay Trolley – Buses are the best way to get around nowadays. Trolley buses help get students get to class and back to their dorms. Some even go off campus to pick up off-campus students. They even give students a bus card that give students a discount for the local bus station. Best transportation I have ever heard of.

Guys & Girls: The Peay Life – Students at Austin Peay are from all over the world. Its mostly girls there and they all have different backgrounds. Some country girls and some city girls. Then the boys are the same way. City boys, country boys, party boys, and anything you can think of. People are friendly and some are to themselves. Other than that everybody is cool.

Campus Housing: Austin peay has recently been updating there dorms. They built hand village just some few years ago and now they are building this megaplex dormatry. They have many halls options to choose from varing in price. Some are nicer than others but you get what you pay for. As a freshman I stayed in Kilabrew which isn't the nicest dorm but I enjoyed my time there and the place grew on me. The RAs' are also very social and hold it seems weekly events where you can meet new people in your dorms and just ot hagnout. Everyone on campus is very friendly. I know on move in day Between me and my father we maybe had to carry in 3 or 4 boxes because student organizations came out and helped us move in. Which by the way is in now way a requirement of them. Austin Peay has an always improving dormatry status and a friendly enjoyable campus.

Campus Dining: The Grill – ASPU has many options for the student living on campus. For it being only a campus of about 10,000 it does well for itself. YOur options include The Grill which is a collection of papa johns, BBQ, Chick-fa-le, Wraps, Pasta, Mexican, and Smoothies. Which are all moderatly priced about an average of $5 or so per meal. The Cafe is the main eatery where it is buffet style all you can eat and the also have a assortment of items and it varies day to day. There is also Austins which is the late night snack shack. They have anything from pizza to burgers, wings and more. Then you have the Peastand and two other convienence store types which as any assortment of goods you would find at your local gas stations. All of these you can use your "plus dollars" which come standard if you have a meal plan or you can purchase them. All in all it has great variety and the campus administrators along with the SGA are all ways looking for way to emprove on there dinning options.

Local Atmosphere: Chill and Explosive – Clarksville is a growing town, with a growing college campus. If your more of a sit out on campus under tree reading a book type you can do so. On the other hand if your looking for more a the wild side you can find it right down the street from campus. There are three local bars/clubs within walking distance. Such as the Gilroy, Peay Patch and the Tap room. If your looking for a frat party we have those too I am a SigEp and we frequently have parties, also Including the other six frats on campus. So all around APSU has the best of both world quite town with a wild side.

Scholarships: The clerks in the financial aid office as well as the registrar's office are extremely rude. They talk down to both students and parents who just ask simple questions regarding financial aid. Their job is to help students who have questions about their financial office, yet most students are hesitant to pay them a visit because of their attitudes.

Overall Experience: APSU Is Pretty Good School – My overall experience at APSU has been a positive experience. The crowded parking is INSANE, but other than that I have no true complaints. The professors are helpful and the classes are failry easy. I have found that because this is a military town we have quite a mixed culture and that makes me feel as though I am surrounded by a diverse group. BIG PLUS!

Nightlife: Parites... Lame! The parties on campus here in Clarksville are pretty ridiculous. The only parties that are thrown are done through fraternities and sororities or through athletic personnel. The bar life however is excellent because we are a military town. Alcohol is easily accessible to anyone who wants or feels as though they need it. Transportation is ok, campus has just renewed a contract for Peay Pickup that totes students around different places on campus because parking is so crowded.

Parking: I am a commuter and if you don't get to school to park before 9:00AM you are pretty much out of luck. You must also have a colored parking decal and if you get caught in the wrong color parking lot, you can bet you'll get a ticket while you're in class. Parking spots are literally taken as soon as they are left. Even professors complain about how parking is quite frequently, so its not only bad for the students.

2 College Freshman

Guys & Girls: Not That Great – It is difficult to find friends if you are not involved in Greek life, even though it only takes up about 25% of the students on campus. People are not that friendly.

2 College Freshman

Health & Safety: Definitely Needs Improvement – Although campus is small and not a lot of crimes have been reported, there are still issues with there not being enough lighting and the fact that students are not allowed to carry mase on campus.

5 College Senior

Facilities: Austin Peays Success – Austin Peays sets a goal for everyone who attends there. Austin peay is great because they have everything to offer. Any major/minor they offer it. The campus is great. they have 5 dorm buildings they ae also building one for all freshmens. You will never stay bored they always have some type of activity going on on the campus.

4 College Senior

Campus Strictness: Strict Campus – Austin Peay campus is very strict. No smoking and drinking on the campus. In dorms there is no drinking and smoking allowed. No weapons, dangerous utensils allowed in the rooms. We also have curfew. No leaving after a certain time.

4 College Senior

Greek Life: Greek life is very interesting. You learn alot of important things about each soroity/fraternities. Greek life is not all about parties. Most is about brother and sister hood.

3 College Junior

Drug Safety: Drinking Is Most College Students Favorite Pasttime Here – The amount of bars and clubs in Clarksville is steadily on the rise. Due to the closeness of Fort Campbell, many of the bars are centered near the gates and the major shopping areas. Many students drink on the weekends and play pool, cornhole, or beer pong at a club or bar.
