4 College Freshman

Health & Safety: The health center is very accessible and willing to help. There is not much crime on campus.

5 College Freshman

Computers: There is an abundance of computer labs and great wifi so there is no need to have your own computer.

4 College Freshman

Off-Campus Dining: We have pretty much everything you would want in off campus dining.

3 College Freshman

Nightlife: There are not a whole lot of greek organizations but they offer great parties.

4 College Freshman

Campus Housing: There are several new dorms built on campus. They are very nice and clean. They have easy access to everything on campus.

4 College Freshman

Campus Strictness: They dont let us get away with criminal activity but they still allow us to have fun. They are very strict with parking though.

2 College Freshman

Athletics: At one time the athletics were much better. The baseball team does well and students give them a lot of attention. The football and basketball programs are terrible and receive little attention.

3 College Freshman

Transportation: Public transportation is offered for free to students which is a big deal. If you drive yourself traffic is often bad and it can be hard to get around.

4 College Freshman

Local Atmosphere: It is not a big city but it within distance of one. It is a typical college town that offers many things for students to do off campus.

5 College Freshman

Off-Campus Housing: There our several new apartments that have come into the city in the past few years. There is plenty of places for the amount of students we have. Many can be cheaper than living on campus and they are all within a short distance from campus, some within walking distance.

4 College Freshman

Majors: For the size of our school we offer many different programs. If your program is not as good as you would like it to be, it is still a great place to go for a couple of years and then transfer.

5 College Freshman

Majors: I am very happy with the program I am in. We do not have the top program in the state but I do not regret my decision at all. I want to go into Agribusiness and I have been able to take many classes to prepare me for this career. The faculty our very helpful in terms of giving help and notifying us of internships available.

3 College Freshman

Drug Safety: I have not noticed much drug activity going on at the school. Many people do participate in social drinking but there is not too much pressure to join. Underage drinking does happen a lot.

4 College Freshman

Academics: As an ag major, Austin Peay does not have the largest program or offer the most classes. However, they are the fastest growing ag program in the state. The faculty are very helpful and I have learned a lot in there classes. The workload is very fair. It is not too easy and not too overwhelming. Going into this program is one of the best decisions I have made.

3 College Junior

Computers: While the library and other buildings have computer labs, the student population is growing and the amount of computers has not increased enough to match the demand

Health & Safety: Safety durning the day is great because there are so many students around. I do not live on campus nor do I take night classes so I am not sure about the safety of campus at night

College Junior

Drug Safety: I do not live on campus, but I do hear of the parties where students drink alcohol. I am not sure about the other drugs because I do not live near campus

Off-Campus Dining: Clarksville is like any other city. There are fast food restaurants everywhere, with the same sit down restaurants on every side of town. There are a few places that offer student discounts. Papa Johns being one that offers a discount all the time. The cost is average. It is possible to find a cheap place to eat such as Taco Bell

Academics: APSU has a wide variety of degree programs. Most of the professors care about their students and wish to help them in any way possible. The workload depends on the student. Most classes have a decent workload, but if you take 18 credit hours you may be asking too much of yourself.

Weather: There is a saying, wait ten minutes and the weather will change. This is very true in Clarksville. We usually have a mild winter, but if a student moves from the south, he/she may not consider it a mild winter

4 College Junior

Off-Campus Housing: There are apartment complexes built specifically for the college student. They have furnished rooms with cable and internet. The utilities are included in the rent. Most have some sort of gathering on the weekends that school is in session.

College Junior

Campus Housing: I have never lived on caampus

College Junior

Greek Life: I have no true experience with Greek life

4 College Junior

Scholarships: Make sure to fill out the FAFSA and understand the standards that must be adhered to

3 College Junior

Athletics: While I do not participate in school athletics, there are many student who do. The facilities are nice and there is a push for students to join the intramurals.
