Diversity: We have a LGBT club on campus that puts on productions. They put a drag queen show that was open to all students and possibly the community. Also, we have different church groups, for example, there is a church club for Catholics.

Campus Strictness: The campus has many rules set enforce to help with the safety of the children. The campus prohibits drinking and drug use on campus. Parking decals are required an if not issued or up to date, we have parking tickets. We also have police help poles place around campus to where a student can have a police escort if they do not feel safe. Lastly, we have rules for our dorms, girls and boys must be in there wings by midnight. Girls in the girls area and boys in the boys area.

Majors: Applying to the nursing program was very stressful. The application was not that hard but getting the GPA and fulfilling all the curriculum before applying was the hardest. You have to have a 3.0 before applying and even getting in with above a 3.5 is hard. It also is required that you take a test called the TEAS, this test was extremely hard, I studied all summer long for it. The tips I would recommend is study and make a really good grade on the TEAS so even if your GPA isn't as high, the TEAS test will help even it out.

Majors: I love being in the Nursing Program. It is hard work but the people you meet and become so close to are amazing! the workload is a lot, and the test are hard but it is worth it. The grading curriculum is a little different from a normal grading system, to pass the class you have to make a 76 which makes it a little more difficult.

Campus Dining: After living on campus for a year, I got very tired of the food choices at Austin Peay. The variety is very limited, and not much is open late or on weekends. The cafeteria is okay but the food is somewhat plain. I would love more options for food, especially more ethnic food. A Chinese place, a salad bar, and maybe even an ice-cream store would be amazing. I think they need to extend the hours of the restaurants because if you're out late studying the only place open is subway and that closes at midnight.

Academics: I love Austin Peay! I have had wonderful teachers and I am in an amazing nursing program. The teachers expect a lot from the students which is understandable, I believe the workload is manageable. The teachers really care about how you feel and want you to feel like you can get the help you need at any time. We have free tutoring on campus, a writing lab, and research assistants everyday to help with schoolwork. The academics are amazing at Austin Peay.

Academics: I love being a nursing student at Austin Peay. Of course the work is very challenging but any nursing school would be. The nursing school holds a very high standard at Austin Peay and the students must live up to that standard. The clinicals are an amazing experience, and being an Austin Peay students allows for many job oppurtunities that open up.

Scholarships: Applying for financial aid is very frustrating in my eyes. It is all based on what my parents make, but just because my parents may make decent money that doesn't mean they are helping me pay for college. A lot of scholarships and financial aid is completely based on financial status but as a college student, I am taking out loans and worrying the whole semester about keeping my scholarships because I am not getting any extra help because my application is considered on what my parents income is.

Athletics: I play sports myself so I think everything is on a raise

5 College Freshman

Campus Dining: Haven't had everything but the food is Great

3 College Sophomore

Diversity: It's a very diverse campus and Ft. Campbell is close and very diverse.

3 College Sophomore

Transportation: People share rides all the time. Nashville airport is close.

3 College Sophomore

Local Atmosphere: It has a small town feel in a big way. There are tons of stores and food places.

4 College Sophomore

Majors: I am very happy with the program. I am finished with my core classes, which were pretty awful. The education classes are much better.

4 College Sophomore

Majors: I am in the education program. Most of the professors have had hands on experience in the classroom and make sure you are well equipped to go into the classroom.

3 College Sophomore

Weather: The weather is crazy. But you do get all four seasons. Sometimes in the same week!

3 College Sophomore

Off-Campus Housing: There is housing everywhere. You will have no problem finding housing.

3 College Sophomore

Greek Life: There is no greek housing. I am not involved.

2 College Freshman

Off-Campus Housing: I was planning on moving off campus, but the rent every month is extremely toooooo high per person. One apartment for four people is $500 per month/person. I just have to stay on campus.

3 College Freshman

Greek Life: We do not really focus on Greek life at AP, its not really a big deal. If you are part of a frat or a sorority, good for you. If not, that's completely fine.

3 College Freshman

Transportation: Most students just use their own transportation, such as their cars, truck, or bicycles. Other students have to catch the city bus to go wherever they need to off campus.

3 College Freshman

Weather: It gets very hot, but it also gets very cold.

The weather always changes up on us, one day it might be freezing the next it might be very hot.

3 College Freshman

Local Atmosphere: There's not much to do in Clarksville, but some people will find anything to do. My friends and I usually go to the movies or shopping. On the weekends most students go back home, if they don't stay to far away. Also since Nashville, is 45 minutes away, a lot of students go there to do whatever.

3 College Freshman

Drug Safety: Drug safety is not really a problem for AP. For the students that do take drugs, they will do it off campus so they will not get caught. Alcohol is not really a problem either, yes a lot of students drink, but they will not do it out in the open where they will get caught.

3 College Freshman

Parking: I personally do not have any problems with parking, since I live on campus. But I eventually brought my car back to school and was given a permit pass to go inside my car, it was already paid for in my tuition. Finding a spot is difficult, but you will eventually find a space.
