Local Atmosphere: Clarksville is fairly small. There really isn't much to do. The mall is played out and all most people do is either party or go to the same club that's been shot at several times. I mean we have hookah and bars and that stuff, but for people who don't get into those things the best option is dinner and a movie. Or, just stay home altogether. If you want an ounce of fun, Nashville, which is an hour away, is the best option.

4 College Sophomore

Majors: There is only one application that you must submit

3 College Junior

Academics: Overall the staff are will to work with you. They love communicating, but you have some programs that are not very good at communicating to their students about grades, due dates, etc.

1 College Junior

Academics: In this department of registration process the workload falls on the students to make sure they are consistently checking he statues of turn in documents, etc.

3 College Junior

Local Atmosphere: Safety on campus is not at its best. There is almost a campus alert about individuals doing something. Stores are not surround or close by for students who do not have cars. They are farther out.

2 College Junior

Weather: It is too cold and the weather is not consistent with just one weather type.

1 College Sophomore

Campus Housing: I used to live in non-traditional housing on campus (Emerald Hill). The apartments are small and not very clean. The most annoying part is that the strict guidelines apply to the non-trad housing just like the dorms-which meant we weren't allowed to drink and had to be subject to monthly inspection.

Off-Campus Dining: Clarksville is a very average city with very average dining options. We don't have anything that really stands out as being unique.

4 College Freshman

Drug Safety: The campus police do a great job of being seen around campus. I think this helps with the visibility of usage and with actual usage of drugs and alcohol.

4 College Freshman

Facilities: The Honors Common is a great place for honor students to hang out. The student center is a great place also to meet up with friends.

4 College Freshman

Facilities: I love living on campus and having a deli/store in the dorm. We have an Honors Commons for all honor students that has study room, games and a kitchen/snack area.

4 College Freshman

Computers: Everyone says the computers are good. I usually use my own laptop.

2 College Sophomore

Weather: They weather changes every day. But this is TN so it's not always consitant.

4 College Sophomore

Campus Dining: They don't have that many options but it's enough to change what you eat everyday. Also there are several different places near the campus to go out to eat that are walking distance from the campus.

3 College Sophomore

Scholarships: They are very helpful when you need it. I had a slight issue with my financial aid but the financial aid office people we're very helpful.

4 College Sophomore

Facilities: It easily accommodates military students. It is the best reasonably priced school that has a computer science degree completely online.

3 College Freshman

Campus Strictness: The police force is very strict when it comes to drugs and drinking on campus, but when it comes to a "riot" or a pickett fence party outside the university's main building, there is little done.

5 College Freshman

Parking: Spaces fill up easy so if you have later classes this could be a issue.

Scholarships: Austin Peay Is Very Selfish They Are Taking Your Money And Building New Dorms (Even Though We Already Have Like 8) and A New Football Stadium (For The Team That Only Won 1 Game This Year). They Could Care Less About The Students Needs All Of My Financial Aid Came From The State.

Athletics: The Sports SUCK Especially The Football Team This Year Out Of The Whole Season They Won 1 Game And We Were Told That The School We Played Was Paid To Come And Let Us Win. SMH

3 College Freshman

Guys & Girls: Guys And Girls Are Nice We're In Clarksville, so it's a little country

2 College Freshman

Weather: It Gets EXTREMELY Cold And Ice Covers The Ground But Classes Rarely Get Cancelled.

3 College Freshman

Weather: We live in Tennessee where the weather is constantly switching from short and t shirts weather to heavy coats and scarves weather. After a while of going back and forth students tend to get colds or sick. It's not that the University can really help and change the weather, but this is a factor that future students should be aware of.
