Greek Life: All sororities and fraternities do many volunteer services and are very involved in the university events. However, the costs of being in the sororities/fraternities make the membership not worth it.

Academics: The best academic part of Austin Peay is the success coaches which help you throughout college and help you pick classes, stay on your program, and just inform you on everything

Weather: So far its only drizzled one day but its been sunny most of the time but I know the 15 min walk to the farthest building which happens to be where all my classes are is going to be miserable in winter

4 College Freshman

Academics: Professors are there to answer questions whenever you need them, they also give you their email so you can ask questions later on.

4 College Freshman

Athletics: Athletics take up a good majority of the school and you can tell the coaches are passionate and helpful and the players love what they're doing and want to improve, there is a lot of freshmen school spirit!

Health & Safety: I absolutely don't mind walking alone or in groups. But there are times where I might get freaked out of it's late and I'm alone. I usual call someone or walk real fast back to my dorm. There are not a lot of lit pathways & a lot of trees in the way. We do have great security escorts who are on call. The safety of the campus is pretty good it's the surrounding area.

Academics: I came to Austin Peay to try a new city and because enter into their nursing program. The campus is not that big but it holds a lot of students. It can get quite boring at times but for the most part it's how you make it. I love when everyone get together for different events or when we all go to church. The classes can range from 10 students to almost 100 but everyone sticks together in the class and help one another.

Local Atmosphere: I think it is a great place to live and there are many things to do such as bars and ton of good places to eat.

3 College Junior

Weather: The weather is not bad if it does decide to rain everything is close enough together that it isn't hard to stay dry.

4 College Senior

Campus Housing: Currently building new dorms and adding more food and beverage shoppes.

4 College Senior

Greek Life: I don't think it's different from other greek settlings.

Nightlife: It's a military team so there is a lot to around the campus.

Local Atmosphere: Clarksville is a nice area but also has diversity of people being a military town. There are many places to shop, eat, and just go out for fun. APSU has their own football team the Govs which are fun for students to attend.

Academics: The Agriculture department is in great shape at this school. The teachers are very knowledgeable about their respective fields and it is worth taking classes with them. While they are often very busy (last semester there were only three of them!), they will do what they can to take the time to talk about whatever issues or questions students have about registration, extra opportunities, etc.

Athletics: Fan support is excellent. The players? Not so much. They do a decent job but we are definitely not a school known for it's athletics. However, game attendance is huge and the games are fun, whether we win or not.

Diversity: There are a ton of different groups on campus, and organizations for all of them! We have a Gay-Straight Alliance, Hispanic Cultural Center, African American Cultural Center, Non-Traditional Student Center, various religious organizations, and so much more. There are people of all walks of life and most people are accepting of these differences.

Weather: There are days that are incredibly hot and humid and some that are pretty chilly. Then, there are occasional tornado warnings and lots of thunderstorms, sometimes flooding. Usually it's pretty nice out and warm, but I don't like the unpredictability.

Off-Campus Dining: Austin Peay is located in downtown Clarksville. Riverside Drive has several fast food chains, and casual restaurants. The prices are good for the quality of food you receive. Also the downtown options are great too. Johnny's restaurant and the Black Horse Pub are two of the favorites among students, and Johnny's is right across the street from campus. If you want a higher end place to eat for a night out, there are plenty of places to choose from.

Guys & Girls: The guy circles range anywhere from athletes, musicians, city boys, and the Tennessee country boys. The girls have a diverse range, such as the cheerleaders, book smarts, musicians, and the Southern belles. Mostly everyone dresses in a nice casual sense, but you do find the occasional person showing off a bit more skin. If you are from up north it may take you a little while to get used to the accent.

Academics: To be honest, I have not ventured into my program yet. I was taking essentially general ed classes at my community college and this semester will be the first time actually taking classes relating to my major. I have spoken with the department head and other psych majors and they have all said things that have really given m e great expectations for my classes!

Transportation: While I have my own car and do not take advantage of the public transportation, I have read and heard nothing but good things about the on campus shuttle at Austin Peay. I have however noticed that the bus stops around town seem to be hard to get too, some have no sidewalk and for some you have to cross a 6 lane high way to get to them! However, even with these obstacles, I see people waiting everyday.

Off-Campus Dining: Clarskville, TN is a small town with a heavy military influence as it is home Fort Campbell. You usually find your average run of fast food restaurants, family oriented chains such as Applebees and Ruby Tuesdays, and of course your random array of Chinese buffet style restaurants. While eating off campus is fairly cheap, and most restaurants close to campus offer discounts to students, I can not say I have found a local restaurant that has really impressed me yet.

5 College Senior

Facilities: Austin Peay has some great facilities. The library is awesome! PLENTY of computers, desks, comfy chairs, laptop plugin areas, a coffee shop and a good selection of books. The gym is amazing! There is a wonderful weight/cardio room. Lots of different classes are offered daily. There is an indoor track, basketball courts and even a coffee shop and an area to play ping pong and racquetball. There are also other great facilities and events on campus!

Transportation: You can take a city cab to school. You can walk if living close enough and they also offer the Austin Peay Trolley that caters to students in surrounding areas and will pick you up!

Health & Safety: Campus police are always patrolling and if you need them they are just a call away
