Academic Experience: Professors, Curriculum, Classes, Workload Oh My. Well the professors I have personally have are great they are very understanding that you have job. They help out a lot. The curriculum is very basic. The class registration I had trouble. I had never registered through the website i always used the phone but you can go ask for help at the admissions office and they help you they are very nice. Classes can be up to 3 or even4 hrs long but it is worth it i have an American sign class and is 3 hours long but it goes by rather quickly because it is so fun. work can get hectic if you do not know how to manage your time. There is awesome lab touring center i love it i go there almost anytime I need help or just to get my homework done.

Tuition & Financial Aid: Well ACC is a great college. Its is rather cheap and I am paying it off by myself. I did not turn in my finacial aid in time but when I did go to go talk to them they were very nice and helpful. I think personally I am getting my moneys worth with the help they provide and how great most of their professors are.

Student Body: Great Mix! ACC is a great school for the student who enjoys a diverse environment of people. Folks from all walks of life come through here, each with their own ambitions and unique stories to tell. The college is very diligent about giving a voice to all these stories via many different kinds of cultural events, student groups, and even specific classes.

Campus Resources: There are resources like student life, libraries, and some campus activities. We dont have sports or alot of clubs on campus. Most of the clubs meet somewhere else and its harder to go for meetings. But i do enjoy what they have.

Academic Flexibility: My School – The reason i chose to go to this school was because it was cheeper and close to home, so i wouldnt have to spend more money on dorms and stuff. I would like to transfer to a bigger and better school, but the money is always in the way, and thats why im going to continue to look for more scholarships.

Tuition & Financial Aid: Procrastination Is Your Assasination – I think i am getting a good education for what i am paying. The scholarship i got really helped me in paying my school tuition. When i apply to for scholarships and financial aid, most of the time i was too late in turning them in and thats why i ended up getting just one. I know now that if i want to go to a bigger and better college i have to apply on time.

Academic Experience: Gets Me Where I'm Going – Because I'm going for a marine biology major, I need to attend college on the coast. ACC is excellent, however, for getting me to that point; all of the core classes I need are offered, as well as any necessary electives.

Campus Resources: An Excellent Community College. Serving the vast majority of central Texas with several campuses, Austin Community College really helps students get on their academic feet without adding financial chains. The college is widely recognized by other four-year universities, and because of this students can hope to transfer credits to many of these.

Online Courses: The workload is a little bit overwhelming, at least for the class I am currently taking, which is Trigonometry.
There is a LOT of homework, quizzes due every Sunday at midnight, and a test every couple weeks.
It is a LOT to handle and a HUGE commitment!

3 College Sophomore

Tuition & Financial Aid: Not Timely – The tuition I am currently paying is around $1,200 a semester and I receive $800 a semester in financial aid, so this is definitely helpful.
However, it took about 10 weeks for them to actually review my application.
It was nearing the time for me to register for my next semester classes and I had still not been awarded, so I visited the Financial Aid office and, apparently, the panel in charge of review the applications completely overlooked mine.
This being said, the helpful staff actually had to email them and tell me to look it over.

Academic Flexibility: Austin Community college has plenty of course to chosse from that work around your schedule.

4 College Sophomore

Academic Experience: The professors that I have had have all been extremely nice and helpful

3 College Junior

Academic Experience: Its kind of hard and you have to devote a lot of time to the program. If you get good grades and the requirements they ask it is much easier to get into the program.

5 College Senior

Student Body: Full Array – The student body ranges from high school graduates, transfer students, middle aged students, parents, professionals and even grandparents.

4 College Senior

Academic Experience: Real Life Experiences – The professors give real life experience assignments instead of purely "from the book" type of assignments. They give tasks that will actually help you in a job or interview

3 College Junior

Overall Experience: i like the student life that is thier, they do things for the school and have fun fairs

5 College Freshman

Academic Flexibility: Very Flexible – ACC has made it really easy for me to transfer credits. I knew from the time that I started at ACC that I would need credits that were transferable so I went and talked to and academic adviser. They gave me a transfer guide for several schools. This allowed me to pick core curriculum that I knew would transfer.

4 College Freshman

Campus Resources: The Good and the Bad – Austin Community is a great place to start your education. The class are inexpensive, as low as $200 a class, and the class size is small and personal. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for continuing education or just getting the basics down for your bachelor's degree. However the campus life is little to none. Most people just want to get their hours in and transfer to a "real school".

5 College Freshman

Academic Experience: Great Classes – Interesting enough there are alot of people following the same curriculm i am to achieve the same major. The work is average and the curriculum is easy to follow with the amazing teachers that i have. They are easy to talk to and fun to learn from.

4 College Freshman

Campus Resources: Freedom and Fun – My school gives me the opperunity to come and go as i please. It also has many different clubs that anyone interested in can join. My school also has many different campuses that have libraries that communicate with each other, so if i need a book at one campus and another one has it, the book will be sent to the campus i need it at.

College Sophomore

Online Courses: Doesnt Apply – I wouldnt take online classes because I would rather experience the classroom enviroment.

5 College Sophomore

Academic Flexibility: Very Good Flexibility – The classes are really flexible because you have time to work and go to school full time without much hassle. Also all of the courses will transfer to the 4-year school that Im going to transfer to. I couldnt ask for an easier college experience so far.

4 College Junior

Overall Experience: School Experience – My experience has been pretty good, I like the campus alot really nice. The teachers are helpful and friendly.
