5 College Sophomore

Tuition & Financial Aid: Very Low Priced – The tuition is very low since it is a community college

3 College Sophomore

Academic Experience: Pretty Well Off – I am majoring in bio and my teacher is very good at teaching it.

3 College Sophomore

Student Body: No One Talks – The only talking done at the college is amongst students within classes.

3 College Sophomore

Academic Flexibility: Very Easy Classes – The classes were very easy and the guidance counsellors were easy to work with. Only thing is the process of transferring hours to here were a bit difficult and took some time.

3 College Junior

Overall Experience: Not Happy – I've only taken one class so far and had a bad experience. The professor was unprofessional and "all over the place". I'm sure not every professor is the same as her, but I did not like her class one bit. The school is good though.

Campus Resources: Good Network – They do have a good computer network. It is very reliable, fast and easy to access!

3 College Junior

Campus Resources: Nothing Different – I wouldn't say anything is unique about ACC. It is a typical college school with the same things provided as other schools.

Campus Resources: The Resources Could Be Better – My college makes it difficult for us (students) to find our ways to things, such as our questions and needs. When I talk with the faculty in person, they expect us to already know since we are "adults". I understand that we should do things on our own, but adults are not psychic.

Academic Flexibility: Too many students attend this campus so it's hard to get into the classes that fit your schedule because space fills up quickly. I rate Austin Community College as a "B" because of the large population of students and the few resources they have provided to help students with their questions.

3 College Freshman

Career Services: Career Center -Not Visited Yet – I am still a freshmen in college, so i can not rate them at this time.

Tuition & Financial Aid: The finanical aid, which helps students enroll in classes is great. The only problem i have is that i which they would not stop you from getting your loans when you apply. I am a parent of 5 children and it's very hard for me to pay for my classes. Financial Aid has decline my accepted award until i complete 30 hours of class. This is the only reason i am having to apply for scholarships to help me continue my education.

Online Courses: At this time i have not taken any online courses. I have taken a Reading class and had to set up online services for homework. Also on my Algebra class i had to purchase my mathlab to do homework on line. It was pretty easy once i got used to it. The online services showed me that i can be successful in taking online courses and get my homework done and get good grades as well.

Academic Flexibility: First Time Adult College Student – My wife and I decided that now would be a good time for me to enroll in our local community college. I was nervous being 34 years old with a family and out of high school for so long, but ACC has made things very easy. I like that there are lots of other students just like me, there are resources available such as counseling, career fairs, and tutoring to help with whatever I may need, and the instructors have been very encouraging. Finances are tight at home with a daughter but I'm looking forward to finishing up and hopefully starting a new career.

Overall Experience: Austin Community College (SAC) is a great school because people are always willing to help. New people always feel lost and don't know where some things are located, but if you ask around you will get yoursefl around the school. My overall experince so far has been great, I have been doing good and because of the Learning Lab( tutoring center) there the tutor are nice, great, ,and most importanly helpful with students. Always willing to help. :)

Campus Resources: Computer Labs – What I love the most is the computer labs because there are a lot of computer that students can use. Sometimes there is a lot of people in the libaray so one can go to the computer labs and there is always avaliable spots.

4 College Senior

Academic Experience: Job Opportunities – My school offers work-study which is very helpful because it allows a student to work and at the same time be able to study. They have many opportunities but not enought for many.

3 College Senior

Academic Experience: I wish professors were more involved or interacted more with students. Sometimes some teacher assume you already know the subject and won't give any additional help. For example, when I took English Comp I for the first time, the teacher wasn't helpful. She assume we all understood and didn't even ask if we were confused or not. I think English Comp I teachers should not be so hard on students. I think they need to understand that it takes TIME to acquire a new subject.

Career Services: Career Center Helpful – The career center is very helpful. The faulty is always helpful and most of all wiling to help.

Tuition & Financial Aid: First of all, NEVER procrastinate on financial aid. The FA Advisors at ACC are AWESOME! They've helped me out so many times with questions I had and gave very clear and helpful answers. They were friendly and reviewed by FA Status promptly.

Academic Experience: Needs Pamphlets or Announcements – I wish the school had announcements or something so that I would know about their extra curricular activities or clubs. They don't seem to give a whole lot of information on that. I have no idea what clubs exist (if any) or if we even have sports. I only just found out where the learning lab was (a place for tutoring) and when I went to use the library no one helped me out. I still don't know where any of the computer labs are and I'm not sure if there is even a student representative or something that you could go to for help.

4 College Junior

Academic Experience: Another Day at School – I'm an English major and struggle with math. A lot. I'm not sure why college algebra is a necessity in my curriculum but oh well. My math classes have been alright so far and tutoring is always available and helpful. My other classes have been fun and relevant I suppose. The workload isn't anywhere near intense or exhausting and the tests are quite passable.

Overall Experience: I'm Just a Student – So far, with this school, it's pretty good with being organized. the only difference i wish it would make is to make it where i could take my animation classes closer to home. right now, i have to drive at least half an hour to the school i need to take that class in. I wish they could put many programs in one school, instead of having them specialized. I want to get into radiology, but I'll have to drive a lot for that too.

4 College Senior

Student Body: It is a very open campus with i love there is no limits to where students go and feel unwelcome

4 College Senior

Campus Resources: Great Efforts – Austin community college help you strive to suceed. I also like that they offer the vocational nursing program, and i also like that it is a viberent community

4 College Senior

Campus Resources: Good Network – The network at school is really reliable and i can count on printing papers out. and also if i get stuck on something i can also count on the computer staff to help me.
