3 College Sophomore

Academic Flexibility: Still Getting Aquainted. Like I said before, I have only had a brief experience with the school. I am looking forward to more. So far my experience has gone smoothly and easy to manage.

Academic Experience: I Have Not Had a Chance to Take Classes in My Major. I completed all the basics when last went to college. I had taken all developmental maths but having to retake them before I can even take the courses for my major because they require math.

3 College Sophomore

Academic Experience: Still Getting Aquainted. I have only had one class experience and had to withdraw from it due to personal issues that I needed to attend to. I loved the teacher and the class, and was sad that I could not finish. I am eager to get back to school and get more involved. So far the staff has been very helpful.

Academic Flexibility: ACC is a great school to attend if you are also working full or part time, they have classes all throughout the day.

3 College Sophomore

Student Body: Looking for Something New – My school mostly consist of students that are looking to start a new career by getting their basiscs out of the way in order to transfer into a 4 year school.

5 College Junior

Academic Flexibility: Excellent Flexibility – I love that ACC is very flexible with the courses and times. It works for me.

5 College Junior

Student Body: Very Diverse – The school is very diverse. I like that about ACC.

Tuition & Financial Aid: Too Much Extra – I think that the school requirement of having you fill out an ACC financial aid application is ridiculos. I dont understand why it is needed when i have already completed the finacial aid for the pell grant. Just wasted time and uneeded extra paper work.

5 College Senior

Online Courses: Great Alternative to Classroom – I have taken several online classes with ACC and I have never had a bad experience. They are easily manageable, if you a disciplined and can follow a set schedule on your own. The assignment submission for online classes is very easy to use.

Academic Experience: Get a 4.0 – I recommend taking your core classes and prerequisites at ACC, but unless you can get a 4.0 on your first try, do not attempt to get into their health programs. Also, the program prerequisites have their own prerequisites, so its somewhat ridiculous to even try to get in.

College Freshman

Student Body: Just Started – I have just started my Summer classes so unfortunately I do not have my current grades right now but I have been doing good so far in my Government and Public Speaking class I am very positive my grades will be pleasing.

College Freshman

Career Services: Just Started – Unfortunately I have no certain grade right now reason is because I just started my summer classes but so far I am doing well in my Government class and Public Speaking class. I am very positive about my future grade which will soon appear.

3 College Sophomore

Academic Flexibility: Flexability and Inexpensive – I chose this school because the classes were flexible and it wasnt very expensive.

5 College Sophomore

Academic Experience: Great Professors – I have had great professors at austin community college. Very knowledgable.

5 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: Good Community College – I have had a great experience while taking classes at ACC.

2 College Freshman

Overall Experience: Prepare to get the runaround. ACC makes it incredibly hard to complete their admissions process. Prepare to wait a long time for them to respond to inquiries about your admission status. It took three days to hear from the Records department about my transcript -- they lost it when it was sent in.

4 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: So far I have loved the flexibility of the classes. From online classes, to 6 week classes. I have the flexibility to work with all aspects of my and my families schedule.

5 College Sophomore

Academic Flexibility: When in-district, their tuition rates are very affordable. They definitely allow me as a parent/student to continue taking classes without feeling a strain in my budget.

4 College Sophomore

Campus Resources: Resources are available to students, computers, rooms, printing, copying.

4 College Sophomore

Academic Experience: Academic Experience – So far I am very pleased with the classes I have taken and my professors.

4 College Sophomore

Tuition & Financial Aid: I believe that tuition is decent and financial aid has been great, the department handles financial aid in a very well manner. I have had no issues.

2 College Junior

Academic Flexibility: Why Am I Here? Sometimes when registering for classes, it's almost as expensive as a university. So I have to wonder, why am I here working on my prerequisites if it's just going to cost the same as a university? Courses are generally not flexible, meaning you don't have the luxury of missing a class without falling extremely behind.

3 College Junior

Academic Experience: Professors Don't Seem to Care – A good majority of professors don't seem to give a flip about the student's living situation, whether it be not having the time to do things for class or why they seem to be slipping in class. I realize it's college and we're adults, but I've noticed most of the professors just seem to want to get in, do their lecture, and go home. Class registration is normally relatively easy, but there are countless times where it has caused complications that require me to to the campus and sort it out--and I'm not the only one.

Academic Experience: For the most part, the teachers do a good job of actually teaching and making sure you understand the material. Of course, there are some teachers who have no idea what they're doing, butt that's why it's a very good idea to research your teacher well before the semester ends. I've found that about half of the teachers are competent and know how to teach and help, but the other half have no right to be teaching. It's also the same with trying to contact the teachers and their ability to update grades, half are good half are bad.

4 College Junior

Academic Experience: I am a nursing major and I think they have a very well respected program within the schools and the community. Employers welcome ACC graduates knowing that they received a very good education. My only complaint is the program is very small compared to the demand. You are almost automatically denied your first time applying. Also they have a lot of fluctuations of teachers.
