College Junior

Online Courses: I haven't taken any online classes, but i have not heard anything negative about them.

4 College Junior

Campus Resources: I am currently taking part in a group called CKI, The coordinators are very open and inviting to everybody, and it's just a good group of people to be around. The group focuses on help the community and people that just could use a helping hand.

3 College Junior

Tuition & Financial Aid: Tuition wasn't very bad, but it would have been nice to receive some financial aid, other than a loan.

3 College Sophomore

Academic Experience: Classes fill up so fast they need more professors.

4 College Sophomore

Student Body: Definitely a good variety of ethnicities, age, etc.

Tuition & Financial Aid: Tuition here is fantastic and the quality of education is easily worth twice what I pay. I have not tried to get financial aid yet but will be trying in the near future.

5 Recent Alumnus

Campus Resources: I can get all of my necessary materials printed at school, and with a ten page limit daily, I have no problem getting everything. I have a laptop with strong wifi connection everywhere on campus and a printer at home that only has to print stuff on days when I'm not at class.

3 Recent Alumnus

Campus Resources: The libraries and learning centers are fantastic and I always have somewhere to sit and do my work. The dining area and student lounge could use some work but since it's not a campus with people living there, it's ahrdly an issue.

4 Recent Alumnus

Campus Resources: My instructors really know their material and are always extremely happy to help. I stay engaged in my schooling and find myself looking forward to going to class.

3 College Freshman

Student Body: Mostly, my school consits of full time students who work as well. Everyone always seems a bit stressed. The school seems diverse when it comes to political and sexual views, but is not seemingly ethnically diverse at all.

3 College Freshman

Tuition & Financial Aid: It's fairly cheap as far as education goes. I feel as though I am getting a lot of bang for my buck. Most of the classes are transferable to larger universities so I feel good about paying the price for them .

3 College Senior

Academic Experience: My Major – I'm a Microbiology major. The classes are definitely challenging but this will be helpful for the career I am planning to pursue. Since I am a science major, I have to deal with a lot of long hour labs and intensive critical thinking.

3 College Sophomore

Campus Resources: The resource center is good and I like the availability of inofrmation available.

3 College Sophomore

Career Services: I have not had the chance to use the career center but there is always someone there and ready to help if needed.

5 College Sophomore

Student Body: The student body is diverse in culture and age. Ireally liked going to school where the mix of people are different and everyone has something new to bring to the pot.

4 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: I am happy with my choice at ACC as a stepping stone for my education. I am looking at transferring to a major university and ACC is a perfect way to get into the swing of things :)

3 College Senior

Tuition & Financial Aid: Be on Time – I dont think that ACC is very knowledgeable about all the financial help that could be available to students and if you do not fill out their financial aid application on time you will not receive aid on time to pay tuition.

3 College Senior

Academic Experience: Class Registraion Process – The ACC onlie web page is a wreck. trying to work in that sight and get some where you might just want to forget it. I dont know what they were thinking. when you clink on links they just bring you right back to where you where when you started. like going around in one big circle. And they when your done doning that then you just get mad and say forget it.

When you go down the school they say oh well you can do it online. Ya right talke about conffusing.... They just direct you to computer and say okay this is how. Normally they dont help with the registraion at all. But if you make them do there jobs then they will...

3 College Senior

Campus Resources: The Network Is Slow. When everyone is trying to work on the computers. It becomes very hard to get your stuff done in a short amount of time. Teachers are trying to load something for the school, and it always seems to have to buffer for a few mins.

4 College Senior

Campus Resources: Theres Pretty Good Resources. They have computer labs open till 8pm, some classes dont get out till 9:30pm. I have never seen a library but then agin most-everything can be found on a computer.

2 College Senior

Campus Resources: Theres Not Enought Communication Skills – communication is everything in life, if they cant communicate proberly, then something is wrong. everyone in this world depends on technology which is great to a exstent. email a studdent is not always the best way to get a hold of someone. what if they dont have a computor or a smart phone to look at there emails?? i dont think anyone ever thought of that. im just saying, pick up a phone make a call dont just email and assume they get the email.

3 College Sophomore

Academic Flexibility: They Tried but Not Hard Enough – I love the flexiblity but the people are terrible at their jobs

3 College Junior

Tuition & Financial Aid: It's Fine – I haven't received financial aid. I have been paying for school with my money. I have had no problems so far.

3 College Junior

Campus Resources: Facilities Are Okay – The Rio Grande Campus is an old high school. Some classrooms are better than others. There are lots of spots to study in between classes. On campus cafeteria is okay at best.

3 College Junior

Campus Resources: Budget Issues – The Rio grand campus has a smaller budget than other ACC campuses. This was especially felt over the summer with a lack of a tutor in anatomy and physiology labs. However, science classes that I have taken have SI programs, which prove to be helpful.
