1 College Freshman

Academic Experience: The only reason I gave this a low grade is my particular major is not offered at ACC. I have to take classes that are like my major, so in all actuality I come to school only for Core classes. The only plus to this is, when I get into University of Texas, I will get to focus entirely on my major, and not have to worry about the core curriculum.

Campus Resources: The things the separate ACC from other schools are simple, Cost of programs dramatically lower than surrounding colleges. I would say a fairly high quality of Teaching experience, and the atmosphere of "Start Here, Get There" which is the school motto, Once students start taking classes here they truly feel like they can make it to the big universities, so high morale is never lost here.

Tuition & Financial Aid: Tuition I believe is this schools main driving point. It's the reason why I am finishing up my basics here instead of going directly to a University. Some of my classmates seem to think the cost is pretty high, but when you look at other schools, its actually very cheap. When it comes to financial aid, I don't get much help from any school, I am the youngest of three brothers and according to financial aid my dad makes just over the amount to receive any cash, but we dont have enough to pay for all of us. We are stuck in that catch 22. My brothers went off to the military instead so I could be the one in the family to focus on Education. So I feel like I have a pretty negative opinion of financial aid.

Campus Resources: Seeing as how we have a small campus, the computer lab system they have set up is great, there are multiple labs set up with approximately 30 computers in each, with at least a 2008 dell computer in all of them. The network however is fairly slow for the fact that not many people are connected on it. When it comes to printing, youre allowed to print fiften pages before they start charging you a quarter to print further, hence why I do all of my printing at home. When I'm on campus I use my phones 4G capability to check anything online cause it feels faster.

Campus Resources: The resources the campus provide are above marginal. There are no sports teams at this particular community college therefore no reason to have any athletic centers. Which is a bummer, I can't even play basketball with my friends during our downtime. The library is modest, but it gets the necessary researching job done. as for Student life campus activities they try to plan at least one or two things a week, from movie night, to tickets to shows around Austin, which is the best part. The general proximity of the buildings is great, everything is next to each other so you're never late to class which is a big plus.

Campus Resources: Class sizes are small. They include a wide range of ages of students which is nice. The professors are some of the best I have taken classes from even including my graduate school and bachelors experiences.

Academic Flexibility: Class schedule offerings can't be beat! They cater to nontraditional students like me and the classes are all very flexible in requirements. I have no difficulty getting extentions or working with professors to finish my studies.

3 College Sophomore

Academic Experience: My only class has been good so far. The people in class that want to be there will be there, the people that don't, won't. The professor is all right.

Tuition & Financial Aid: As a community college, it's affordable and I guess I get my money's worth.

3 College Sophomore

Campus Resources: It's good! I haven't used the wireless at ACC but the computer labs are fine.

3 College Sophomore

Campus Resources: There are a lot of computer labs in the auxiliary building that I make use of from time to time.

2 College Sophomore

Campus Resources: I haven't really made use of ACC's campus resources.

Student Body: My school consists of all different aged people. Everyone seems to be in a hurry and stares at the ground as they walk. However, no one is intentionally mean to another person. Most people either have a heavy course load, or something else in mind, so you don't see as much socializing as expected.

4 College Freshman

Academic Experience: I have wonderful professors, with wonderful curriculums. They all work hard to help the students receive the best grade they can get. The registration process was simple and all online. ACC offers a learning lab with tutors for each subject everyday from 8 am to 9pm.

4 College Freshman

Academic Experience: English was never my best subject, but I chose a wonderful professor that offers so much help, it would be hard to fail the course. The workload is more intense than other courses, but its always interesting. I am offered service learning, which I do. Rather than writing a research paper at the end of the term, i keep a journal of all of my community service work, and turn that in as the paper.

Tuition & Financial Aid: ACC worked very hard to help me get what I needed in financial aid. My tip would be to apply for FAFSA. Never assume you "cant" get it. Because I spent time and effort working toward getting the money necessary for me to get my education, I am very appreciative of my education.

3 College Junior

Student Body: Very diverse, not what I personally am used to.
Most are trying to get some classes completed so they can transfer to a larger university.

Career Services: The quality of the career services here at ACC are great. I don't know that I can make a fair rating as this is my first semester in college. I do know that since I have been here I have been able to achieve what I need to achieve with he help of tutors in the learning lab. The library has also been very helpful for studying and quiet time for better studying.

3 College Junior

Academic Flexibility: I think this school has a great academics flexibility as the schedules vary in days and hours allowing us to accommodate to our own personal schedules

College Freshman

Online Courses: I do not know how the system works for online courses because I do not take any online courses.

5 College Junior

Tuition & Financial Aid: Classes are very affordable, and financial aid helps out alot.

5 College Junior

Campus Resources: The library is great, it has many great book, computers, and it a great place to study.

5 College Junior

Campus Resources: one thing is that there are many campuses around the Austin area, so student can go wherever a campus is closest to them.

5 College Junior

Campus Resources: ACC is very affordable, and I feel that I learn a lot through the help of my amazing professors. The student life is also very great.

4 College Junior

Academic Flexibility: Austin community college has a great flexibility when it comes to taking classes. Many student can work and go to school. They offer morning, evening and night classes to help fit in the average working lifestyle. A great school for someone who has a family and is trying to go back to school.
