Campus Resources: The reliability of the network was dependent on your location. The signal was best in the highly concentrated areas such as the student life building, library, and cafeteria. The printing on campus was always great. They never once charged me to print. A personal computer is highly recommended for the sake of convenience. The school always provides computers and laptops without any hassle or issues.

Campus Resources: The campus life was quite alive due to student life. They were very active in bringing the students together. Also, Phi Theta Kappa was heavily involved with campus life. We had the largest chapter in the state of Texas. The math department is in the midst of building a new tutoring center to aid students in developmental and advanced math courses.

Campus Resources: The quality of the campus amenities are dependent on the campus you attend. I attended the Round Rock and Northridge campuses. The Round Rock campus was brand spanking new with quality classrooms and buildings. The Northridge campus appeared to be more dated, but well maintained. The libraries at both campuses held a plethora of books for each subject that assisted me in my studies. The campus life was quite alive and outgoing for a community college. I made many friends that I saw on a daily basis.

Academic Experience: I am doing very well for a first time student at the age of 45. I discovering that I love school.

Campus Resources: From what I have seen at both campuses that I have been to the student lounge is very nice and convenient. They put several different types of seating in there as well as a snake bar with several outlets too, for those of you that need them for computers and such.

4 College Sophomore

Campus Resources: I haven't used the labs for much else but I have taken some test there and the computers seemed to be working good. When I needed to go to the next question it would shuffle fairly quickly. Maybe after I begin my classes there ill be able to better answer the question.

Campus Resources: There are very good computer lab workers there in case of any problems regarding technology. Very approachable if you have any questions and are very friendly and will help you out with anything you need.

Career Services: I do not have any familiarization in this section yet since I am getting my under-graduating basic classes out of the way. But I see different opportunities clubs and organizations provide at Austin Community College to those students who need it and can assist you to their very best of their ability.

Tuition & Financial Aid: I am currently on college loans and go ask questions quite often at the financial aid offices and they are quite friendly and helpful with anything you need. They try to assist you to their best of their ability and will help with any problems or questions you are concerned with.

Student Body: Austin Community College consists of students who are middle-aged full time workers who need to go back and need a degree in order to get a better working job. A very friendly environment all around, yet people are not there to make friends but to work hard everyday and get their classes over with.

Tuition & Financial Aid: The financial aid is great although I wish they would. Take a little time to explain to new students the effect is has on switching majors. I did end up paying a little out of pocket but it's worth it

4 College Sophomore

Campus Resources: There are multiple campuses that are all strategically laid out across the city.

Academic Flexibility: ACC will work with your schedule and has many available people helping you to transfer to a school of your choosing. They also help with graduating plans and if you do not get accepted to the school that you want to transfer to they are more than welcome to help you get back to ACC. They will go over what you need to do and most importantly the teachers will help you as well. If you need a resume they are more than welcome to fill one out for you.

Student Body: The student body at ACC did try to encourage people to come out and enjoy all the festivities. They only did so little and barely went out themselves to go and get people involved with the school. It seemed like they also had their own lounges and students were more than welcome to come in but so little did. Overall, I do like the effort that the student body put in to make sure that everyone was involved in all the activities and festivities.

Campus Resources: There isnt a real need for a personal computer. All campuses have a computer lab and a library that has additional computers. Printing is limited to "15" pages a day but no one ever said anything if one printed more. Internet was always available and fast. Computers were up to date with people to assist you with any problems or inquiries.

Online Courses: I wasn't too sure about online classes to begin with. I needed an easy class to fill in for my semester and decided an online class would be just that. I did some research and found a class with an instructor that didn't require testing to be done in a testing center. I had a weekly folder with a weekly assignment and reading to do. Assignments varied between watching a video and taking a quiz to a couple 750 word essays. I had two exams that where done online. Seemed easy but the exams where timed and if you didn't study before hand then you wouldnt be able to look up every question.

Academic Experience: The sonography program at ACC is one of the best in the state. Selection criteria is very strict and they only accept about 15 to 30 students a year. It is a highly competitive program but is well worth the effort.

Academic Experience: Scool has an excellent tutor prgram and online registration process. One big issue I have is that the books used for the courses can be pretty riduculous. I have had several classes that required books only available at ACC and where just pages in plastic wrap. These "books" couldn't be sold back and where around $150. Some professors require students to take test in a testing center outside of class hours. This can be a hassle since it requires extra time and sometimes the testing center is on a waiting list.

Online Courses: Online courses are pretty easy but it is a lot of work. You have to make sure you keep up with your professor and the online work. If you don't get online or you just forget, it's very easy to fall behind. You can email your professor for the online course, they're usually very helpful. I personally prefer the classroom experience. I feel like I learn better in a classroom than sitting in front of a computer.

Tuition & Financial Aid: Make sure you stay on task with deadlines as far as scholarships applications and grants go. It is easy to apply for financial aid and since tuition is relatively low, especially for in district students, then financial aid is a huge help.

Academic Experience: The experience at this community college is that of a typical 4-year university but without the student life.

4 College Senior

Student Body: As of right now my school consists of many cultures and ethnicities. Its an amazing feeling getting to learn about different people and cultures from all over the world. Being away from your country is definitely a hard thing to overcome especially going to school and taking care of yourself. The people here are getting a wonderful education and also creating lasting memories on this beautiful campus.

Online Courses: Online courses can be a little nerve racking at first but once i got started the online professor was so helpful and suprisingly the workload was not too difficult and didn't differ from an actual classroom course. Although an online course may sound very self oriented that is not the case various message boards and forums with other students are encouraged and can give you another students perspective on the assigned work when confused. By the end of the course my study skills had enhanced completely as did my time management skills.

3 College Sophomore

Campus Resources: Computer labs are small, the internet is slow and can block some sites that are required for that class subject but printing/scanning is great. I would say that bringing a personal computer would be a plus, comparing to using the school's computers

3 College Sophomore

Academic Experience: Academically the staff at ACC was good, the tutoring center us very helpful; but there are times where you have teachers who are horrible. I had one teacher who told that this was one of his 3 jobs, and he did not care for the class, as most of his focus was in his photography job (this was a physics class).
