5 College Freshman

Academic Flexibility: The schedules of the classes at ACC are meant for people with any schedule outside of school to work around it and find an appropriate class. The professors are convenient and will answer any questions. I chose to attend this college because of the ease of transferring to universities.

5 College Freshman

Student Body: The student body is very diverse with people from different backgrounds including all ages. Most of the students work but also try to enjoy their classes to learn and advance in their careers. All of them are accepting of everybody for who they are.

4 College Freshman

Academic Experience: Currently, I'm taking the basics to transfer to a 4-year university. The classes are fun and the workload is manageable.

3 College Sophomore

Academic Experience: At least one of my current professors is very bad at communicating conceptual ideas to his students. I don't know if he is new or a bad public speaker but it definitely affects the knowledge I receive in class.

5 College Junior

Campus Resources: The computer labs always seem to be open and have great internet. I think it is because everyone seems to have their own laptops that they carry around, but I never have a problem finding or using a computer.

3 College Junior

Tuition & Financial Aid: My financial aid process was fine except when they told me I was done with every thing I had to do, so I didn't worry about my financial aid, but what they didn't tell me was I still had a bunch of online surveys and forms to fill out for the rest of my financial aid and I am just finishing this process.

5 College Junior

Campus Resources: Everything that I needed was readily available to me and they suggested different options that I could use for books, computers, or which schools to transfer to. The librarians are very helpful and are able to assist you with most any needs. There are many great campus activities that go on during the year and they are for many different kinds of people not just for jocks or for scientists.

4 College Sophomore

Campus Resources: This campus offers free passes for buses. I have not seen other campuses offer this. Also the learning labs are awesome, they have helped me on so many problems that I was stuck on for days. They helped me gain a better understanding for the subjects I was learning.

3 College Sophomore

Academic Experience: For the majority of instructors I have taken, I enjoyed learning from them. There was one that made my semester extremely miserable. I had never had such a cruel instructor. I had dropped that class due to having surgery and was under severe stress due to my heart .I would be nervous to take this instructor again, although sadly she is one of the only instructors for interpreting.

4 College Sophomore

Academic Experience: Last class I have taken had nothing to do with my major. Math. Workload was intense due to the class being in the Summer semester. The instructor made learning fun and challenging.

4 College Sophomore

Campus Resources: I find that many of the learning centers are extremely helpful in succeeding in my courses. Many of the tutors are ready and willing to assist in understanding many subjects. It has helped me immensely on focusing on my work.

4 College Sophomore

Campus Resources: Everything is easily accessible and easy to find.

People are warm and friendly, there are many great instructors, and many programs to help you succeed in your courses.

5 College Freshman

Academic Experience: I am a premed student, and I am trying to get my prerequisites out of the way before I transfer to a 4-year to complete my undergrad. I have so far taken Bio 1 at ACC and am currently in Anatomy and Chem 1, and the education I am receiving is fantastic. Many people try to talk down on ACC because it is a community college, but that in no way means that the classes are a cake walk. After taking Biology, I felt more than equipped to handle any other courses thereafter because I had a solid foundation. These classes are not give-me's, you have to work and earn your grade just as you would at any other university. I am not worried about being unprepared when I transfer, because I wholeheartedly believe that ACC has given me a good, solid education.

Academic Experience: The professors at ACC (that I have dealt with) truly want you to succeed in their courses. They are very helpful and enthusiastic about your questions, and they are more than willing to schedule an appointment for an office hour if you cannot meet during their allotted time. I have never felt like I couldn't email my professors with a question with the fear that they wouldn't care and wouldn't help me. They know where we want to go, and they are helping their students reach their goals.

3 College Sophomore

Student Body: I suppose there's a diverse group of students at my school. There are lots of older people going back to school to change careers, get their Associates, etc. There are also plenty of younger kids just trying to get their basics out of the way before transferring. It's actually a lot of cultural diversity for a Community College, and we even have some international students.

3 College Junior

Tuition & Financial Aid: The financial aid department is taking forever to pass my fin aid package, but everyone I've talked to are very helpful and nice. I think the quality of education is ok. Its not as ridged as my last school.

2 College Junior

Online Courses: The classes online are harder and more time consuming than regular classes. I thought online classes were supposed to be for people who didn't have time to take traditional classes. And The only interaction the instructor has had with my class in the into to the semester three weeks ago. I am giving them a c though, I like the option of taking online classes.

4 College Sophomore

Academic Experience: Every teacher I've had so far has been great. The career and financial counselors have very helpful and patient. I always feel more capable after speaking with them.

College Junior

Career Services: I am not a post-grad. I am unable to answer this question.

4 College Junior

Academic Flexibility: The school is very flexible with any schedule you might prefer. It takes in consideration the average person with school and work. I have not transferred any credits as of yet, but help all goes smoothly.

4 College Senior

Campus Resources: The computers work great. I have no problem with the internet or the internet's speed and it's really reliable.

3 College Senior

Tuition & Financial Aid: I got financial aid but it took longer than i would have liked. My classes got dropped because i didnt know what my status was with my financial aid.

3 College Senior

Career Services: There are different colleges I can attend in my major after graduation.

4 College Senior

Academic Flexibility: Its easy to adjust your classes and be able to work in the evenings.

5 College Sophomore

Academic Flexibility: Able to attend my classes while also holding a part time job
