Student Body: The Student Life at our school is always creating some sort of fun event and they ALWAYS have food, which is something I love! They help with the motivation of people continuing their education and not feeling pressured as much about it.

Academic Experience: They offer many courses here that if I had the money and time I would be in them! I love the music courses and though I struggle with algebra, the professors are amazing. They are very patient!

College Freshman

Academic Experience: My specific major is not offered at this school, only in a 4 year college is it allowed.

College Freshman

Career Services: I have not graduated yet so I would not be able to rate the quality of post-grad services at my school. But I do hear they are quite well.

Online Courses: I appreciate the flexibility that the online courses provide for me so that I may continue my full time hours at work.

Tuition & Financial Aid: In state tuition end up being a little more than $1,300 a semester, not including books. I learn something new every day here and to me, two years for less than $5,500 is a steal! Especially considering that's about how much one semester at UT costs and as long as you're careful, all of the credits will transfer, it is absolutely worth the money. The financial aid office is super helpful, just be sure to get in there as early as you possibly can, or the money will be gone.

Academic Flexibility: Everyone at ACC is very willing to work with its students. Not only that, but they offer different options for each semester-- there are 2 8-week sessions, 1 12-week session, and 1 16-week session every Spring and Fall. Not only that, but class times range from early in the morning to well into the evening.

Facilities: Austin Community College has many different locations around Austin, and each has something different to offer. The Rio Grande location is near UT and downtown, so may be more accessible for people studying at the University as well as the community college. The Eastview campus is an important location for students studying nursing and other medical fields. Some are farther north, so it's easier to avoid traffic on Mopac for those who live too far away to ride a bike or drive through town. Each campus is in a different stage of its life: some are new, some are old, some are in between. I really like this about ACC.

Academic Experience: Because science lectures are not taught in a huge lecture hall, students can do the lab section with their professor, not a T.A. It's easy to get a relationship with your professor because class sizes tend to be fairly small-- I've never had a class with more than 35 or 40 students.

Academic Experience: I find being a biology major to be challenging, but in a good way. The professors are always involved in labs and the tests are never easy. To get my core credits I also have to take courses in things like social sciences and fine arts, which gives me a great balance of things to be thinking about, and the professors at ACC never fail to keep a subject interesting, in my opinion.

Overall Experience: Even though Austin Community College is a transfer college, there is a lot that ACC offers to those who are just getting their associate degree

4 College Junior

Academic Experience: Even though the classes get really quickly fills up and it's hard some times to get the class I wanted to take.

The study options are good because there is a tuitions after classes and we get to go there and get teachers help. Overall it's great experience.

Academic Experience: I am doing physical therapist and it's a really great way to start up my career and I really appreciate the help of the counselors who help me through the financial aid and choose what I have to do to success.

4 College Junior

Overall Experience: I would say the college experience is very unique because I get to meet diff people with diff ages. The scholarships and the financial aid helped me a lot and I appreciate the school for letting me in their campus and getting my degree soon as possible.

4 College Junior

Academic Flexibility: Working and going to school at the same time is hard but it made me more mature in a way so I can balance it very well. I love how they have evening classes and afternoon classes so I can work in the morning and go to work at evening.

3 College Junior

Online Courses: I did not take any classes online yet because I prefer classes on campus so I will get time to ask the teacher right away and don't have to wait for the email or phone call.

4 College Junior

Student Body: I get to meet lots of different people and get to learn about their cultures. It's a great thing about universities and colleges because you will make a lots of friends and get to be more mature in a way.

4 College Junior

Tuition & Financial Aid: It really depends on the books and the career you chose to do. financial aid is always there to help and it's a really nice way to help students to pay their school. Also the scholarships helps and extra money for the books. The people are really nice at the financial aid they are there to help and it's always a good things.

Career Services: The counselors are always there to support you and help you out with the career you chose to do. I am doing physical therapist assistant. There are always jobs available at our college so we can work and go to school at the same time in the same campus so we don't have to drive anywhere else so it's a nice things to have.
