Academics: I loved being a part of the school of social work. The instructors are knowledgeable and approachable. I was always able to talk to my instructors about the field and bring up any concerns that i may have had. The school of social work itself was a challenge to work with at times. One thing I did appreciate is that when the students were not happy, the school listened. We have a voice, and it IS listened to.

Academics: Honestly, I feel like the school could hold their students to a higher level of ability. The school of social work was wonderful and challenged my thinking.

Transportation: There are pace buses in the area. this is more of a city provided service and not geared towards university students.

Scholarships: I received a scholarship for 8500.00 per academic year. One frustration was that the scholarship that I was awarded went up for the following academic year, but only increased the amount for newly awarded scholarships. So even though the scholarship was now 10,000.00 I was still only receiving 8500.00.

College Junior

Diversity: In the adult degree program there seems to be a lot of diversity, but I can't speak for the undergrad population.

Off-Campus Dining: From what I know of the immediate area, there are some nice Hispanic dining options with pretty decent food. You can go to the mall area and get more options, but they become more expensive.

4 College Junior

Facilities: The buildings are nice, and everything is within walking distance.

4 College Junior

Facilities: The campus is building a STEM school for the community to help support education. I think that is a great learning opportunity for AU students.

College Junior

Greek Life: I don't even know if there are frats and sororities. There is nothing on campus for sure. Perhaps off campus, but I doubt it.

Overall Experience: This school has been a great option for me, as I am an adult student returning to complete my bachelors. The classes are in a challenging 8 week format, and tutor/support is provided by appointment. Some support services have inconvenient hours and not readily available for adult students that may need after work hours. The traditional undergrads can be immature. Campus safety is compromised by the number of students with cars - there is little parking, poorly lit walkways, and of lots of speeding teenagers. I would recommend this school to adults and traditional undergrads. It's a nice, small campus with a family feel.

Athletics: The athletic building is nice and open to all students. As an adult student, I don't go in there much.

College Junior

Local Atmosphere: I am a commuter student - I don't live or work in this community.

3 College Junior

Health & Safety: Students speed through the parking lots and through pedestrian walkways. I have filed a complaint, but have not seen any improvement. I am concerned about my safety in the parking lots and walkways at night.

Parking: Cost of a permit is cheap, but finding parking is a joke. Even the residential areas fill up bumper to bumper. Sometimes parking is 5+ blocks away, and poorly lit.

College Junior

Transportation: I am a commuter and have no idea what transportation options are available to on campus students.

College Junior

Campus Housing: I don't live on campus.

3 College Junior

Campus Dining: I get coffee and sandwiches sometimes from a kiosk. Nothing great, but not bad either

3 College Junior

Scholarships: I am a junior and my employer just cancelled tuition reimbursement. I am just now filing for financial aid and making my way through the maze of applying for scholarships and grants. This is a confusing process, and one that is probably more confusing to me because I am an adult returning to school and I work full time.

Local Atmosphere: We are located in the middle of a neighborhood, so there is not much to do.

3 College Freshman

Weather: It can be really hot or really cold.

College Freshman

Majors: I have only has one class related to my major so far so I do not think I know enough to rate it.

Academics: Some teachers are great, but others can make your life difficult because they do not know what they are talking about, nor are they research-based.

Majors: Chosing a major was easy, though I already knew i wanted Psychology. But even if undecided it is very easy to talk to the advisors about certain majors.

Transportation: They have a bus stop near the library. But everywhere you would like to go, you first must have car.
