3 College Junior

Computers: We have a few computer labs on campus but would love to have more of variety of locations for studying and homework.

4 College Junior

Majors: Did not have any problems with the admission process.

4 College Junior

Majors: We have required internship programs in the Social Work Program.

College Junior

Campus Housing: I don't live on campus

4 College Junior

Facilities: The Social Work program helps prepare students for their career.

3 College Junior

Majors: The program is wonderful and has been a great opportunity. The one downfall is that the Masters program seems to take a back seat to the Doctoral program. I sometimes feel like another sheep in the herd.

3 College Junior

Computers: The computer labs are usually full with classes. I think they should designate study computer labs that do not have classes in them. The students are technically still paying for the lab time with tuition so they should be able to use them 24/7.

3 College Junior

Parking: They need to finish the parking lots! Parking does not accommodate the amount of students that commute.

3 College Junior

Local Atmosphere: Aurora isn't the best town but there is a lot to do 25 minutes out if town.

4 College Junior

Campus Strictness: Campus police are very helpful.

3 College Junior

Scholarships: Not being able to get in during school office hours makes it difficult to figure out financial aid. They have students who work with you over the phone but it can get confusing

College Junior

Guys & Girls: I work full time and commute so I'm not very involved in the school social activities.

3 College Junior

Greek Life: I never got involved in Greek life. I have seen that it is a great way to make life long friends

4 College Junior

Overall Experience: I enjoy the convenience of school close to home.

Health & Safety: I find myself walking alone in the morning on my way to my car. I wake up at 3:30 am because I work and I do not always feel safe when it is dark out. Also at nights when I am done working both jobs there are no parking spaces in the lots so I have to park in the surrounding neighborhood and I do not always feel comfortable.

3 College Sophomore

Nightlife: I am not 21 yet, so I do not partake in the party scene. I am at school to learn and get a degree. Not to mention I have two jobs and 16 semester hours so I value my sleep.

Parking: The school decided to take out one of our biggest parking lots to build a building for the elementary students that share the campus with us. This lot was also an overnight parking lot so a lot of residence find themselves parking in front of people houses blocks away from campus. A parking permit is a complete waste of money at Aurora because there are never any spots to be had.

Greek Life: The Greek life at Aurora University is not something I would ever want to take part in. They do weird things together that no one is aloud to know about. It is very cliquey and I see good students turn into something they are not because of the pressure that they are under. My roommate is a Greek and on certain weeks she is not aloud to talk to me and they make her do odd things that I personally do not think she would have done if she was not involved in the Greek scene.

4 College Senior

Overall Experience: The school is convenient to home and offers many different options for classes.

4 College Senior

Local Atmosphere: It is located in a somewhat large suburb of Chicago and near another large suburb. It is possible to get to Chicago via train/bus from campus.

4 College Senior

Campus Housing: There is a variety of housing options and pricing.

4 College Senior

Off-Campus Dining: There are many restaurants nearby by the campus from fast food to sit down.

3 College Senior

Weather: In the Chicagoland area, the weather is going to be sporadic. In the winter it is extremely cold, especially with Lake Michigan effects. The campus is small and every building can be reached within a 3-5 minute walk. The campus keeps the pathways clear and salted in the winter. Having a small campus makes the cold more bare able.

5 College Senior

Computers: This is the one area that is just wonderful for students. We have several computer labs, and several more have been added in the past year. They can get crowded and sometimes classes are held in them. The schedules are posted and easy to follow. Printing is free with no limits to printing privileges.

2 College Senior

Greek Life: Greek life is not a huge part of our campus. There is not a huge presence unless it is greek week. Students who are not a part of the greek system are indifferent to the greek system. There are no major problems resulting from the greek system in place.
