4 College Freshman

Parking: Plenty of spaces, and with it being a small campus, no spots are too far from classes.

Academics: As a political science/ economics major, my academic experience has been sort of lack-luster. The economics program here is almost non-existent (through AP credit, I have half of my major completed already). For political science, the program is suited for getting students into law school or into the business world with no real connections or tie-ins with real politics. There are some great professors here in political science (Dr. Weissburg is a gem), but the program itself is more of a novelty than a legitimate area. There are research opportunities in the major, but nothing like connections for internships or getting your name out there in politics. It's a decent program, but not great.

Academics: The academics balance out to an "okay" rating. I have learned some incredible things through the Honors program, but for a student not in the program, and mixed with my experiences in other classes, it's overall pretty standard. The professors are either kindly and helpful or conceited and arrogant. However, there's this strange sense of feeling like you're in high school all over again in many of the classes as there are a lot of "get to know each other games" and hand-holding. There really are some great people and great, enlightening classes at this school, but for the most part, it's a pretty average institution academically- you don't feel like you are at an elite college, but you don't feel like you are scraping the bottom of the barrel.

College Freshman

Greek Life: Again, something very value-based. This school has a large, affluent Greek life that is the dominant party and to a degree social scene. If this is what you are looking for, then this is a wonderful situation, but if it isn't, then it is not exactly pleasant.

College Freshman

Campus Strictness: It really depends on what you're looking for. The safety officers are nice and helpful, but the real analysis in campus strictness comes in the campus' policies. This is a large party school where underage drinking is acknowledged and done nothing about. See, this is great if that is what you are looking for, but horrible if you are looking for enforcement and peace and quiet.

Diversity: Not a very diverse campus; a lot of middle to upper class white people with a few international students sprinkled into the mix. Also not a very vocal or engaging campus in terms of political culture/ sexual orientation/ religion. As a political science major, the basic lack of caring has driven me crazy.

Computers: There's always an open computer in a lab, but the wifi and even Ethernet access is slow and spotty.

2 College Sophomore

Parking: it is hard to find a spot and commuters have very few places they can park

3 College Sophomore

3 College Sophomore

Off-Campus Housing: parking might be difficult but the house in the area are okay.

2 College Sophomore

Greek Life: it definitely divides students and creates cliques but many people feel pressured to join

4 College Sophomore

Health & Safety: i feel safe all of the time on campus and if you use campus escort system at night there is no need to worry

3 College Sophomore

Computers: the computers are slow and often the wireless internet is down.

3 College Sophomore

Diversity: there are still minorities but I don't feel like they are treated any differently

3 College Sophomore

Scholarships: you definitely have to be on top of deadlines so that you don't miss out on scholarships and other possibilities for financial aid

College Sophomore

Majors: I haven't had an internship, but I know that some are available and it would be easy to get a professor's help.

5 College Sophomore

3 College Sophomore
