Guys & Girls: Guy to Girl Ratio – The guy to girl ratio is vary favorable for the guys. The student body is almost 70% female and being a Swedish school most of the girls are blond bombshells.

Scholarships: Do Not Settle – If there is one thing about Augustana that truly worries me, it is the financial situation. Augustana College is very expensive (even for a private school) and while I believe it is worth it, it is a hard thing to deal with. I was granted a very nice scholarship from the school but is not enough- especially when your family has many other expenses. I have been given aid from the school but I found that emailing my financial advisor (from the college) proved to be more helpful. Individual initiative is necessary for any additional help- which can be quite a daunting task!

Overall Experience: Creating the Reality – As a sophomore at Augustana College, I have come to love this place more and more with each passing day. My freshman year was rough and I contemplated transferring many times but by the middle of this year, I decided that this was my home and where I belonged. I decided to become as involved as I could and I have met some truly incredible people. The professors take time with each student and are interested in their learning and passions. They are also some of the most interesting people in the word. This school provides time for fun and work and respects the students need for growth and inspiration. Augustana has taught me that every situation is about creating your own reality- it can be as great or awful as you desire.

Weather: The Augie Bubble – For the better part of the year, Augustana students seem to live on a quaint and isolated campus which seems to have a weather forecast of it's own. Unfortunately when it snows the sidewalks and streets are not quickly attended to and it is often a difficult walk to class. The cold hardly keeps us from completing our work but it does prove to dampen our spirits. When Augustana is entering the fall or late spring, it is one of the most beautiful campuses in Illinois.

4 College Sophomore

Nightlife: Night Life Rocks – There are many different places at Augustana to go out with your friends. The local bus company has a bus specifically for Augustana students from Augustana to the local bars. There are a lot of parties for students to attend on the weekends. The school also provides fun night activities for students to attend.

2 College Sophomore

Off-Campus Housing: The housing at Augustana in general is very poor. Augustana students cannot live off campus till senior year. The houses that are available are very dirty and in terrible locations.

3 College Sophomore

Facilities: Thomas Tredway Library – The library is a very useful place on Augustana's campus. The only issue is the slow internet, the computers take 10 minutes to log in, and there is not enough study spots. They are renovating the library and attaching a new student center to it. Although they did not ask the students their opinion on the new student center and many students are not excited about the upcoming events.

5 College Freshman

Scholarships: Lots to Offer – Augustana offers a huge merit scholorship, and offers a lot of financial assistance that has made my college experience amazing!

4 College Freshman

Facilities: Great School, No Focus on Commuters – Augustana offers a great experience for all, but treats commuters as if they are junior college attendees. I still pay a lot of money, and I should be treated like so.

3 College Freshman

Campus Dining: Pricing Is Too Much! I am a commuter, and don't have a meal plan. The prices are extremely high for someone who doesn't have a meal plan. It is almost as if they want you to buy a meal plan. I do not have 500 dollars or more to buy a meal plan. So, if they worked on their pricing, im sure the grade would be higher!

4 College Junior

Off-Campus Dining: Always Something Delicious – There's always something good to eat in the QCA for any type of food you want. Mexican? Try La Ranch. Chinese? Oriental Express. Italian? Johnny's. There's a little bit of everything you could want at every price range. Chain restaurants, family restaurants, the whole schmear. The favorite in my house? Ryan's buffet. They have EVERYTHING.

3 College Junior

Computers: There are tons of computers for use on campus! The library, media center, even the residence halls! However, the wireless and general internet in rooms in slow and can be extremely patchy at times. There's WiFi in almost every academic building and every residence hall.

3 College Junior

Local Atmosphere: Quad Cities – Surprisingly, there's a lot to do in the QCA. However, for most of it you need to have a car or know how to work the bus system. In Rock Island, there's a semi-professional hockey team and Davenport has a semi-pro baseball team. Moline has pretty much everything else that you could think of. Also, very available by bus is the district in Rock Island which has a little bit of something for everyone. Tere's great food everywhere in the area, including the ever delicious "La Rancherita".

3 College Junior

Weather: It sucks when it snows because there are a lot of hills and stairs, but other than that there is no major problem.

3 College Junior

Parking: There are parking lots available for each dorm and TLA that have to be paid for, but there are places to park that don't cost any and are open for parking.

4 College Junior

Scholarships: Augie gives great help when it comes to money needs.

4 College Junior

Facilities: Library is great! It consists of 5 levels. Out of the 5 levels, 3 are quiet floors. There is an awesome coffee shop as well on the fourth floor.

4 College Junior

Overall Experience: Greek life at Augie is what makes your social life here. It is an absolute blast!

4 College Junior

Campus Housing: Dorms are amazing. Air conditioning is provided and it is like living in a hotel. Great first-year experience.

5 College Junior

Computers: Computer Availability – Wireless everywhere, colored printing and Black and White. Our technical services are always a phone call away.

3 College Sophomore

Facilities: Sports and Rec Centers – Facilities at Augie are OK. Nothing too great. The football field is small and the Carver Center (Basketball, Volleyball, Swimming, Wrestling) is aging. But Carver for a basketball game is amazing. The crowd is what makes it though. Pepsico Rec Center is not bad but also aging and is to be remodeled soon.

3 College Sophomore

Computers: Computers; there there. Desktop and printing use to free to students in Tredway and Olin. But that'a about it.

3 College Sophomore

Facilities: What Make Augie Great – What makes Augustana great is its close knit community, it's not so small that everyone knows everyone, but anywhere you go you are definitely guaranteed to see someone a familiar face. Other unique things about Augie include its trimester scheduling, study abroad options, and greek life.

Transportation: Public transportation is pretty good at Augustana (free buses that run every 20 min all around surrounding cities), although it doesn't get used very much because most people know someone with a car.

3 College Sophomore

Athletics: Sports Are Alright – Men's Varsity Basketball is big at Augustana College; many students attend games, dress up, and get really into them. Other sports (football, soccer, women's sports) are not very well attended at all. Facilities are okay for a small college, and the new lacrosse/soccer field is exceptional. It would be nice to see more people participate in IM's, but they are mainly dominated but greek groups and sports teams.
