Computers: We have many computers. Each dorm has a computer room/printer, and all students have access to a printer wirelessly. Most students have a personal computer because it is easier, but some don't, and they get along just fine between the three computer labs in the library, and the one in their dorm. All of the computers have a printer option in the same room and all computers can print to all printers on campus.

Local Atmosphere: Living in the heart of Minneapolis, there are always activities going on. Not to mention that across the street is the U of M. The Mall of America is a 15 minute light rail ride from campus and the Target center, Target field, and metrodome are all a 10 minute drive from Augsburg. The science museum (one of my favorite places) is only about a 10-15 minute drive from campus also. Safety on campus is really awesome. We have a department of public safety that does rides to places two blocks off campus, and they also have a few trained Police officers!

Diversity: At school, we have a very diverse population not only racial, but religions and sexual orientation. Augsburg college welcomes everyone into the school with open arms and is willing to learn about new culture and new practices. We are very diverse in culture along with sexual orientation. Augsburg is definitely a pro choice school and many of our staff and students are homosexual. I think that it is really awesome that we can all come together to learn and worship at Augsburg together and become a well rounded, diverse community.

Off-Campus Dining: There aren't too many off-campus dining services that are extremely convenient, but there is a select few that offers an Auggiematic Discount. A functioning light rail close by is an efficient and affordable way to eat at places far from campus, with services to Mall of America and downtown Minneapolis.

Nightlife: Augsburg campus itself if a bit sleepy, but off campus, the surrounding neighborhood has a vibrant arts scene.

Parking: Parking is my only complaint about Augsburg. Finding a place to park for commuters is a nightmare. The only designated spots are scattered around campus streets. There are only a few small lots nested within the campus that hold about 50 cars or so at most. The one big lot is at the back end of the campus.

Campus Strictness: Augsburg is fairly liberal. I know someone who did a works study for the department of public safety and got caught at a party, drinking under age. He received a fair amount of discipline, but still kept his work study and has even found a better job within the school.

Weather: It's Minnesota, so the snow obviously sucks. There are sky-ways that make it so the cold doesn't affect your decision to go to class!

4 College Freshman

Academics: As a liberal private school, there are many different fields offered, and the professors are passionate about what they teach.

Academics: Quality professors with great educations, and a decently heavy workload.

Nightlife: your in the city so you can stay up and do pretty much anything any night of the week

5 College Freshman

Facilities: I'm a commuter, but as I heard from my friends, who live on campus, they said that life are much more easy. And I believed them because living on campus, you have so much time to finish whatever you wanted and have time to joined any events, clubs, etc. Also, many students know each other very well. There are a lot of places to hangout and study, so you don't have to do your study only in your dorm.

Local Atmosphere: Augsburg is a small school, but it has a lot of events, activities, etc. going on. Everything is easy going because if you don't have a car, there's DPS to drop you off at the light rail, so you could go shopping. There are a lot of fun activities to be involved.

Computers: Everything are there and easy to use. There are plenty of computers that students could use, so they don't have to have their own laptop. There's also some laptop that you could borrow and use for close to 3 hours long. The internet is very fast, which you don't have to wait for the page to load. There's WiFi every where on campus, so that is good. The printing on campus is okay, but mostly there should be more printers, for instance, if students was in a rush, they could just print it off instead of going to the library.

4 College Freshman

Health & Safety: I feel safe while I still on campus. Also, there's dps, so that's even more safe because when I'm scare, I could just call them to drop me off where I want to be. From receiving emails from the school about certain things happen, that make me feel a little unsafe at the moment. That's not a big deal because I still feel safe due to the environmental.

3 College Sophomore

Drug Safety: There isn't much going on around campus until the weekends and it's mostly alcohol with a little marijuana but for the most part it's not pretty chill.

3 College Sophomore

Off-Campus Housing: There's lot of different complexes surrounding the area. And you are still immersed in the community that makes the Augsburg experience great. The biggest downfall would be the safety, but only sometimes.

3 College Freshman

Off-Campus Dining: There can be better prices, as well as closer dining. Besides just the two main restaurants we have (jimmy john's and taco bell).

3 College Freshman

Diversity: We have a ice amount of diversity but there is always room for improvenment, students on campus are still unaware of some cultural differences and may have a lack of knowledege on how to bridge the gap.

5 College Freshman

Drug Safety: Our drug scene at school is good because there isnt visibility at all and n the time i have been here I have never felt peer pressure and have never used anything.

3 College Freshman

Off-Campus Dining: There are a lot of things around Augsburg college but i think that there arent enough. I think the only reason why we only have good places around the school because the U of M is right next to us. I think we should step it up and start having more things around.

3 College Freshman

Parking: The parking situation at my school is expensive you must have a permit in order to park around the school and the tickets and fines are also expensive. I think it is expensive to keep a car on campus because besides paying for parking you also have to spend money on gas, talk about arriving at least 20 minutes early to find a good parking space. Or sometimes even arriving early for the whole day is a bummer.

5 College Freshman

Off-Campus Housing: I live off campus and chose the weekend and evening classes (WEC) because they offer flexibility.

3 College Junior

Drug Safety: Not really sure about it since I'm of age and live off campus but I have seen kids walking around with cases and I know it's available in the area. Basically if it's something you want you can get it but if it's something your not interested in there's plenty of other stuff going on!

4 College Junior

Guys & Girls: Students are active and cool! A lot of hipster types but also you can find any other kind of person on campus; athletes, artistic, business. Anyone and Everyone! Everyone is pretty active and friendly and theres a great foreign exchange program too!
