Campus Strictness: The security guys are very helpful when you're out at night and need a ride somewhere, and were very nice when helping me after my bike was stolen.

Guys & Girls: People look like every other 20-something around the cities.

Off-Campus Dining: A lot of ethnic cuisine close to school, whether it's Afro-deli or Himalayan or Thai, there is a lot to choose from.

Off-Campus Housing: You can either live in a ghetto apartment for cheap or a slightly less ghetto one and pay $940/month for a single bedroom if you want to live close to college but off-campus.

Drug Safety: The drug scene varies with the crowd you hang around with. I never saw any "hard-core" drugs. There is alcohol around though.

Academics: I love being a music therapy major. However, it requires a lot of effort, time, energy, etc. It is one of the heavy majors offered, greater even than pre-med. So it is a lot of work. The job opportunities are becoming more and more popular, and my professor has said that the internship opportunities are usually easy for students to receive.

Scholarships: It does an "ok" job of spreading the "wealth"

Greek Life: I do not even know if there are Greek housing available on campus.

Parking: Parking on campus is hectic. Parking fills up quickly even if you have a campus permit. Even if you are a resident, the parking lots are quite small and inconvenient where walking is quite a ways out. This makes the permit price less worth it because it does not gaurantee a spot.

Academics: I am a Physics major at Augsburg College. The Physics Department is smaller compare to others but this is not a flaw. Getting to know the professors is a lot easier and more convenient. They have amazing connections with the outside world whether it is interships, jobs, or use of facilities.

Academics: Augsburg College is a small private college. The class size is also small making it easier to connect with professors whether it is through email, appointments, or passing by; the professors will get to know you. Not only will the professors get to know you but the students as well. Forming small groups for study sessions and collaborating your ideas is extremely helpful.

Transportation: Lots of public transport whether it's buses or taxis or the metro.

Nightlife: Close to downtown Minneapolis so lots to do if you're of age.

Weather: With the small size of the campus, weather does not affect the campus experience much. If you live off campus, this may be an issue to do transportation and morning/evening traffic. However, all in all, weather is not much of an issue.

Facilities: A lot of the buildings are somewhat outdated. There has been the promise of a new science building that is currently being held up by a lack of funding. Once this project is underway, though, I am sure it will draw in students from all around as it will be a new state of the art building.

Facilities: Due to the small size of the college campus, student life is very much front and center here at Augsburg College. Even though you may not know every student by name, you will eventually recognize a lot of people that you walk by during the day. Student life is what you make of it, with all the student organizations that the school has to offer, you can definitely make an impact here on campus.

Scholarships: Often times I ran into financial aid problems that hindered my ability to sign up for classes on time. This often affected classes I could choose, which made things especially difficult with the STEM courses that are often offered in sequential order.

Nightlife: If you are under 21, the only way to go is house parties, which are usually few and far between. There are a lot of parties in the area, but it's usually too far to walk, especially if it's during the winter, and who wants to drive?

Majors: The strommen center is great at connecting students to a various amount of different internships everywhere, even study abroad internships.
