Diversity: Diversity at Augsburg is well rounded in racial, religion, and sexual orientation. There are programs that support each area. There is even a program to help individuals with learning disabilities, which I am currently involved in. The only lack at Augsburg is the economic background diversity. Most students here are from middle or high class society. There are not that many that relate to the daily struggles of urban low/middle class.

Academics: I'm a psychology major at Augsburg College, and the classes I have been taking are exciting. Each course is linked to one another making the work understandable with each grade level. I enjoy writing the papers the most because that is my chance to express to the professors my excitement and knowledge learned. Once I become a 3rd year than I can explore internships and jobs.

Weather: Snow in Minnesota – It snows in Minneapolis and does get cold, cold meaning below zero, but Augsburg has underground tunnels

Drug Safety: I am not aware of the drug or alcohol scene at school because I am a commuter.

Campus Housing: I have no opinion on this because I am a commuter. I have an easy commute from the east metro area.

Health & Safety: Safe Place – I feel totally safe at school. Security is easily found. I wish the city couldn't issue parking tickets on campus.

Facilities: So Many Things – One of the unique things is that Augsburg is involved in community service; each student is exposed to this their first year. They have many degrees and there is weekend college for older students. The school has a coopreative relationship with Macalester, Hamline, Saint Thomas and Saint Catherines so if a class isn't offered here, you can take it at those schools. There is an opportunity to study abroad. There are avariety of majors and graduate majors. They have the only film amd PA majors.

Overall Experience: Augsburg College is unique for being a small town school in the middle of the bigger twin cities. Religion is required and I was surprised that I liked the classes. The best is that you get a scholarship if a parent is a graduate-that was a huge draw for me.

Greek Life: Fraternities and sororities don't seem to be too active.

Campus Strictness: I know I was on academic sanctions because I didn't do great when I transferred. It seems that there are opportunities to get help if you need it. The policies keep a student progressing. I don't know how strict policies are on partying.

3 College Sophomore

Guys & Girls: As a commuter student who works nearly full time, I am not very involved in the social scene at school.

4 College Sophomore

Diversity: The student body is diverse, with all different races and ethnicities represented. There is also a varirty of economic backgrounds. The school is accessible for physically challenged students. The school offers semester abroad to widen our thinking.

Nightlife: There is alot to do Augsburg. I don't hang out much near school because I commute from a suburb of St. Paul, so I do things with people who went to my high school. There is plenty to do in the twin cities.

3 College Sophomore

Athletics: There are teams that are well known and have been champions for years-like wrestling. Other sports are emerging as champions like hockey. I had hoped to play hockey but coach didn't even hold try outs because he has his team chosen-I thought that kind of sucked. I would have liked to have a chance to at least try out. Other teams do well also.

Local Atmosphere: Close to Everything – Minneapolis has everything you could want for local attractions, sports, shopping. It is a safe place to live. Augsburg is close to the University of Minnesota. It is a small school that gives you all the help and choices and small class sizes. And the twin cities is easy to get around. Don't miss the Mall of America.

Weather: Hallways Can Use Some Rugs – its been raining these past severals day. In many of classes I hear my classmates talking about how embarassed they were when they got in the building and slipped there. Not only were they physically hurt but aside from that they felt they've lost their dignity

Campus Dining: Could Use a Change – I would like to see diversity not just only people wise but also food wise as well. The school truly lacks in promoting diversity. The prices don't match up to the taste of the food.

Campus Housing: Living on Campus Is Awesome! Living on campus is one of the best experiences during College. This is the chance to interact will all sorts of students and staffs at school. Students are able to get involved with club activities and present a comfortable atmosphere where students feel safe. The cost for living on campus isn't much in comparison with commuters. Housing and food expenses are paid through by the aid of financial aid and scholarships.

Transportation: Light Rail Is the Best – Imagine all the stores in the world at the tip of your fingers. The light rail is awesome. On one side of town you have Mall of America on the other side you have Nicollet Mall. Best of all transportation won't cost you an arm and a leg and if you want to go somewhere you won't have to suck up to your friend who has a car.

Off-Campus Housing: DPS- Department of Public Safety – Going home late at night by yourself can be scary. That's why there's DPS. They're available around the clock. They're helpful, patient, and nice.

3 College Sophomore

Drug Safety: Drinking of underage is watched closely and underage persons are fined for being in the room when drinking is going on. Drugs are not too obvious on campus.

4 College Sophomore

Off-Campus Dining: The light rail is 3 blocks from campus and it goes downtown minneapolis and to the Mall of America. Bus line is easy and there is a bus that goes to 5 different schools in the area.

Facilities: Enrollment Center – I am a new student to Augsburg. So far, all the advisors I have talked with have been very helpful. They seem very willing to help me and make it the best experience for me.

4 College Freshman

Academics: the profs are mostly nice and try to help out as much as possible, but they still tend to give out a lot of homework that takes up a lot of time
