Overall Experience: Best School Ever – I love it here. Fall semesters are always tough with football season distracting from the studying, but always a great time. There is a lot of traditions unique to the school that makes coming here and being a part of it the best experience ever. (the warm weather compared to my N. Il. hometown is great)

Facilities: Love the Campus – All the buildings are brick making the campus beautiful to walk around. It's a tight campus making it easy to get from one side to the other without needing transportation. The history behind some of the campus makes that much more enjoyable to be a part of.

Scholarships: Wish There Were More – I wish there were more scholarships, I've tried to apply for whatever ones exist, but there aren't many that apply to out of state students. If a student achieves a certain ACT/SAT score, there are different levels of aid given which is good for those who can achieve that. For the ones that exist, it isn't that hard to find where to apply.

Athletics: Sports Are Pretty Good – SO much is available to students and especially athletes because sports are a big deal in the South. Our sports events are pretty regularly attended and there is a lot of school focus on athletics. The student recreation center is pretty mediocre at present, but a STELLAR and brand new one is being built and to be finished by the fall of 2011. IM sports are good, pretty much all clubs offer to form a team and individuals can make their own if desired.

Campus Dining: Good, Just Need More – The food is styled overall like mini-franchises spread out throughout campus and have several in major locations like the Village dining area and the Student Center. That food has good variety, only not many things are open on the weekends and for the students living close to the Student Center, people wish more was open/more was available (many times places are only open for lunch hours or until early evening). Other wise I love the food.

Scholarships: Auburn is pretty good about providing financial aid and telling you all your options. Definitely pay attention during camp war eagle, they tell you what you need to know and offer advice for anyone's cercumstances.

Weather: It Tends to Rain a Lot. For some reason it rains a lot! As long as you have the proper gear, going to class is not bad at all. They have great transportation provided. When it snows or ices, they are pretty good about looking out for the student's safety and cancelling classes.

Greek Life: Greek Life is a big part of Auburn. It definitely affects the social atmosphere of the campus. Being a non-Greek I see students put a lot of time and effort into their Greek life, and most have very good things to say about it.

Scholarships: Auburn offered me financial aid before I even applied to come to school here. The only bad part of my scholarship is that they will not pay if I choose to move off campus, which most upperclassmen do, and I wish to live off campus next year.

4 College Freshman

Facilities: Campus Life – Everyone is very involved in their own thing. Everyone has a lot of school spirit and pride in their school. The campus is always very well taken care of and clean. People are respectful and take pride in our gorgeous campus.

Campus Housing: On Campus Living – Living on campus has a lot of rules and regulations that you must follow such as signing in guests and having quiet hours.

3 College Junior

Transportation: Tiger Transit – The buses are the only way to get around campus without a car or parking permit... the routes are available to view but determining the right bus is difficult and the night bus has few vehicles and takes a while since each is in charge of half the campus and off-campus locations but otherwise a good way to get to class

Drug Safety: When people mention the word drug it is mainly associated with marijuana or drugs of the sort. Although heard of they are very rare. Alcohol however is a "problem" sort of speak and is widely abused throughout campus due to the lack of enforcement. However, it is not something forced upon people.

Local Atmosphere: When coming to Auburn you become part of something much larger than a university. It is more of a family. From the get go the local treat you like they have known you your entire life, it truly is southern hospitality at its best. Auburn is also an incredibly safe campus, with night security and shuttles throughout campus. And last but not least is Auburn Football, it is practically life, an aspect that gets in your veins and becomes part of you.

Academics: I came to Auburn University because of its first impression on me. It truly felt like a home away from home and was one of the few schools offering my major (Hotel and Restaurant Management). The professors are incredible and their insight makes going to c.lass a must. However academics themselves are hard. Auburn is by no means a cow college as some call it. It is a place that will truly prepare you for the future

Campus Strictness: I have had no problems re: strictness on campus. I follow the rules of my dorm and respect the campus police.

Local Atmosphere: The city of Auburn, AL embraces the university and it's students. Housing opportunities are abundant, shopping is great and everyone I've met is sooooooooooooooo friendly

3 College Freshman

Off-Campus Dining: There are several good, affordable restraunts within walking distance from campus and many offer student discounts and some accept the Tiger Club card for payment

Facilities: People who go to Auburn really fall in love with the school. Its not because of football, but it's because of the atmosphere. The students really know how to rally together for a cause and stand by each other. Our traditions are amazing and set us apart from every other school and unite present and past students together.

College Junior

Campus Housing: I'm Not Sure – I've never lived on campus before. It is not mandatory for freshmen to live on campus and housing is limited, therefore I've always lived off campus.

4 College Junior

Academics: I Found My Place – My major is Social Work and I am more than pleased with every aspect of it. I am close with many staff members, the workload is not too much, and the curriculum is challenging but not impossible. The only thing I would say is that the program is not that popular, there aren't many internships available for people who have diffrent interests, and we don't have a masters program yet. Other than these things I love the staff and the curriculum because they've helped me find myself.

Transportation: Tiger Transit! Sometimes sitting on a bus can be awkward. Especially when you know no one you're sitting next to. However, when you have the right bus driver, that long awkward ride back to the apartment quickly becomes the best ride back. Honestly, I do not like to ride the Tiger Transit. For me, it's just easier to drive. However, I do love the Tiger Transit bus drivers. Most of them always have a smile on their face and can always make me laugh.

Campus Dining: Few but Great – I really like the places that Auburn's campus has to offer to eat. We have a few different choices in the student center, including Au Bon Pan which offers healthier foods like salads and sandwiches. One of the dining halls on campus also has many different options for students to choose to eat. The student center also includes a starbucks, which is always useful for thoughs 8am's.

Facilities: I Love the Library – Most students do not enjoy studying in the library, however I think that the RBD library is the perfect place to study. There's a coffee shop (perfect for late nights) and many different floors to find a place to study on. The RBD even includes two quiet floors where no talking is allowed, which is great if you need silence to study.
There are also many library workers who are willing to help students find anything they may need at any time.

Overall, students are very happy to be in Auburn. They love the people around them and the experiences that they get to have.

College is what you make of it. If you sit at home and don't do anything, then you won't enjoy yourself no matter where you go. With all the options you have offered to you at Auburn, you have to try to not have a good time. And with a student body that is so happy to be here, it's also hard not to get swept up in the excitement. As always, it's a good idea to visit a college or university before making a final decision. Make sure you're as happy and comfortable as you can possibly be.
