4 College Freshman

Health & Safety: even if you aren’t sick they’ll prompt you to act like you are so they can give you a doctors note for missing class.

3 College Freshman

Off-Campus Dining: theres not very much off campus dining. jimmy johns, dominos, chick fil a…the usual

5 College Freshman

Nightlife: if you don’t go out at least 2 or 3 nights a week you’re doing it wrong.

Local Atmosphere: everything in auburn is…well, auburn. forget going to the mall every day or weekend. but it is a beautiful campus and you’ll fall in love with it

College Freshman

Off-Campus Housing: i have no experience with off campus housing

3 College Freshman

Weather: the weather is extremely bi-polar

Campus Strictness: cops will come to parties and just tell you to quiet down even though they see kids drinking who shouldn’t be. BUT they are vey strict about drugs so whatever you do don’t keep them in your dorm or apartment.

Greek Life: i’m not greek but i wish i would have rushed. when i tell people I’m not in a sorority they tend to ignore me and pretend like i don’t exist

3 College Freshman

Campus Dining: everything is good but its difficult to get a meal for under $10 which is not good when you only get $995 a semester.

Academics: I am a Pre-Medical student and the program is great. I am in a Pre-Health professions class that gives in depth reviews of different careers and opportunities in health related industries. The workload is like any other major only because I am a freshman.

Academics: The academic quality at Auburn is top par, however, it is also number five in toughest graders under Princeton and MIT. Professors are great unless they have an accent and you cannot understand a word they are saying.

Computers: A computer is a requirement since most assignments are submitted online. Because of this, there is little need for printing and always wireless availability.

Facilities: Auburn has a beautiful campus filled with relatively new areas to enjoy. The library is of the grandest I have ever seen and is always in use.

Campus Dining: The only bad thing about on campus dining is the high price of most restaurants and meals. Most life on campus is focused on the Chick-fil-a in the student center and beyond that it gets more expensive and less healthy.

Campus Strictness: The police officers of Auburn are great except for one area: driving. Do not dare venture over 3mph or you will get a ticket. As far as school policies most things are fairly lenient.

Weather: Everywhere you go on campus is a walk. It rains a good bit in the summer, but this is never a big issue. Since Auburn is in South Alabama, the weather conditions are generally pleasant year round.

Majors: It was easy for my acceptance. My only challenges came with improving standardized test scores for better scholarship opportunities. My advice would be to get everything turned in on time and keep trying to improved your SAT and ACT scores. They are very important.

Majors: I have never had an internship, however, I know several people that have and say that it was a good experience with reasonable pay. I plan to have one at some point for experience.

Local Atmosphere: There is a state park that is regularly visited by many students and the whole city is pretty much centered around the college. If there is little to do, Atlanta is only 1.5 hours away.

Off-Campus Dining: Not many students eat off campus. I myself go to the grocery store and cook most nights.

4 College Freshman

Diversity: There is a great number of diverse ethnic groups around campus with little to no care for the differences among students.

2 College Freshman

Parking: Parking costs increased substantially, I have to take a transit from my parking spot, and Fridays before game days I cannot park because my spot is reserved for tailgaters.

3 College Freshman

Greek Life: I myself am not a Greek. I see most fraternities as party-goers and throwers who only care about how "lively" the night was and I see most sororities as girls trying far too hard to get guys' attention. This is only what I think generally, there are many sisters and brothers that are great. Greek boys have their own houses that are magnificent, but the girls have to stay in dorms.

Overall Experience: One of the reasons I love Auburn is that it was named the most conservative school in the country. This holds true. I would choose Auburn again because the people here are not only fun, but they are all amazing and different.

Guys & Girls: The Guys of Auburn are pretty great for the most part. Almost all of them are attractive and have an air of Southern Gentleman around them.

Overall, students are very happy to be in Auburn. They love the people around them and the experiences that they get to have.

College is what you make of it. If you sit at home and don't do anything, then you won't enjoy yourself no matter where you go. With all the options you have offered to you at Auburn, you have to try to not have a good time. And with a student body that is so happy to be here, it's also hard not to get swept up in the excitement. As always, it's a good idea to visit a college or university before making a final decision. Make sure you're as happy and comfortable as you can possibly be.
