3 College Senior

Local Atmosphere: There are plenty of places to go and things to do near the college.

3 College Freshman

Transportation: I have not used the transportation, but I have heard others talk about how it is okay, but not the best.

College Junior

Campus Housing: I am a commuters student, but my friends like it here.

Diversity: We have a very diverse group of students here. It is Montgomery, so we have that cultural mix, and we have a great international program here, so we have a really diverse group of students.

Transportation: You really need a car if you are going to be at AUM.

Majors: I have had super great teachers and bad ones, but I LOVE the program!

Majors: If I could do it all over again I would. I am very happy with where I am.

College Junior

Scholarships: Scholarships are hard to find at AUM. I don't have any good tips to offer.

Greek Life: I think Non-Greek see the Greeks as other people. They see them sitting at tables trying to raise money, and see signs talking about different things that they are doing on campus. They are a part of a club that not everyone is in, but I do not see any major difference in the people in or out. I know Greek, and Non- Greek. I am friends with them all.

4 College Freshman

Weather: Weather is crazy in Alabama but its relatively good

3 College Freshman

Campus Strictness: Not sure because I don't live in a dorm, but on campus they are pretty strict about things. Alcohol is not allowed on campus at all and there aren't greek houses so there aren't parties allowed.

3 College Freshman

Computers: The wireless does not always work well. But the labs and tech support are great!

4 College Freshman

Campus Housing: I do not live on campus but I have seen the dorms and the are fantastic!

3 College Freshman

Athletics: Athletics is not as big of a deal here as it is at other institutions.

College Freshman

Transportation: We have no campus transportation.

3 College Freshman

Overall Experience: I like the class size and the teaching style of the professors. It is challenging but not so challenging that you lose interest.

3 College Freshman

Facilities: The class sizes are small compared to other campus', averaging around 25-30 students. Things are quiet and you do not see much partying. Classes are only a short distance away and parking is very accessible. It is a good transition for the student coming from a smaller school. There are many study abroad programs that take place throughout the year.

3 College Freshman

Facilities: There is a new addition, the Wellness Center, with state of the art exercise equipment, a large indoor pool with a vortex pool, outdoor hot-tub, and many exercise classes for free. There is a 2 mile running/walking track, trails through the woods, soccer/ultimate frisbee field, and many other recreational areas.

3 College Freshman

Guys & Girls: Everyone is quiet and forms their own groups. Clothing styles are very diverse.

4 College Freshman

Parking: Parking is no problem, permit is $100 but is figured in with tuition.

4 College Freshman

Scholarships: Just apply, it's that simple.

3 College Junior

Guys & Girls: There are many very normal people on campus. They have study groups, athletic events, places to hang out. The dress is mostly casual - blue jeans. There is a fall Honors ball/event that is cool to go to. The sororities and fraternities have several things to do. There are bible studies. The Baptist Campus Ministries does a $2 lunch every Wednesday and Thursday. That is a great place to have a nice, normally homemade, lunch and a great place to hang out with friends, or meet new people.

3 College Junior

Greek Life: I know that they do stuff on campus. There is a whole week of Greek Life.

3 College Junior

Off-Campus Housing: I am not sure. I still live at home so I never had to worry about that. But it would not surprise me if they were willing to help.

3 College Junior

Overall Experience: AUM is one of the colleges that is nearer home. I wanted to live at home when starting college and AUM was closer than Auburn. My sibling was also at AUM, which helped me want to go there. The price was also cheaper then the other colleges I was looking at. If I did it over again I would probably still be at AUM.
