3 College Sophomore

Greek Life: Getting Better – Greek life is slowly getting stronger & you can expect to see a lot more of it on campus within the next year! The Greek numbers are growing & the involvement is getting much better!

4 College Sophomore

Facilities: Pretty Good – The Cafe is newly remodeled & so is the student center, where you can go to study or go use the brand new computer lab! AUM in the past couple years has been getting a lot mor traditions and really breaking off from Auburn to become its own school! The Student hangouts are pretty good because you can find anywhere to hang out on campus.

3 College Sophomore

Facilities: Getting Better – The facilities are doing great beacause AUM is currently remodelings their campus. Campus life is also getting a lot better now that there is someone new in charge of it & we do a better homecoming week & Have our own mascot & everything. Greek life as well is getting bigger & stronger than ever! Expect to see more of them as well!

2 College Sophomore

Scholarships: I'm from out of state & was not really given many good oppurtunies to get scholarships, some where based on ACT scores & they didnt want my SATS. I cannot say how is it for instate students though.

3 College Sophomore

Guys & Girls: The boys I hang out with are really well behaved, but a lot of fun! They're pretty good looking as well! So I don't have many complicants, but the group I hang out with doesnt count up for much of the school population. A lot of good looking southern boys, but you get the B- for the older guys that go to school there or some of them that are the quiet type that just don't really bother with anyone.

3 College Sophomore

Scholarships: Helpful and Organized – it is pretty tough to actually get free money and grants. they really offer you loans and things you have to pay back..

3 College Sophomore

Parking: Convenient at Times.. they recently built alot more parking spots...so far during the summer its been alot easier to find a parking spot than it was in the spring

3 College Sophomore

Greek Life: They Don't Really Dominate AUM – You really only notice them at certain times of the year...during activities..

3 Recent Alumnus

Facilities: Improving All the Time – Changes are in progress. So the campus facilities are getting better and better.

5 Recent Alumnus

Academics: Excellent Instruction – The academics are world class. Be prepared to be challenged.

3 Recent Alumnus

Campus Strictness: Watch Where You Park – Parking is fairly abundant. Just DO NOT park in reserved spots, or risk the wrath.

2 Recent Alumnus

Nightlife: Not Much of a Nightife – This city is not really a "college town", and although campus life is growing, it still remains largely a commuter campus.

5 College Sophomore

Parking: Aum is a very small campus and I believe I have counted maybe three parking lots. All parking lots are equipped with ample space for students. All lots are within decent walking distance to all campus buildings. There are plenty of spaces for handicapped individuals. There is hardly ever a situation where one could not find a parking spot.

4 College Sophomore

Campus Strictness: Very Laid Back – The punishment policies at AUM are strict in a way that is fair,I think. Not to many students are reprimanded or thrown out because of conduct issues.Academics are just like in every other school, you have to keep you GPA at a suitable average in order to stay enrolled. The social aspect of policy is about as normal as one could ask for, as long as you abide by the rules laid out in the student handbook,no drugs,no weapons,no alcohol, the basics, all is well.

4 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: Great Experience – AUM is an amazing college. You get all the experience and learning you would from a larger university, but with a small one on one feel to it.If you plan on putting a social life before hard work and studies then perhaps AUM is not the college for you. On the other hand if you want to focus on bettering your life through education and also happen to enjoy the laid back atmosphere that AUM has to offer then you are just like me and AUM is the perfect school for you.The campus is lovely, the staff are as friendly and knowledgeable as you could ever want them to be,and the student life is simply superbe.

4 College Sophomore

Drug Safety: Very Easily Non-Existent – AUM has always attracted a certain type of student. In saying that I mean the students that come to AUM tend to be more focused on their work and studies as opposes to any type of recreational drugs. On the alcohol side of things, well it is a college and you do tend to drink and party when you attend colleges, but AUM is fairly strict on their policies as far as that goes. There is not an exuberant amount of peer pressure, again that goes back to who you hang out with and what choices you make and that type of sense should have been instilled in you long before you entered college. To sum it all up from my view of the student body we have absolutely no problems with drugs nor alcohol.

4 College Junior

Facilities: New Wellness Center – The new Wellness Center on campus is gonna be great. We'll have an Olympic size swimming pool, a rock wall, tons of workout equipment, and an indoor jogging track. There's also a nice walking trail on campus, an art gallery in Goodwyn Hall, a full-size gym for sporting events, indoor and outdoor soccer fields, softball and baseball fields, tennis courts, etc. There's also a Papa Johns Express and a Starbucks on campus. The buildings are a bit old, but they're currently under renovation, so they should be looking good, soon!

3 College Junior

Off-Campus Housing: Apartments Are the Way to Go – On-campus housing is far more expensive than off-campus housing, and you can find nice 2- and 3-bedroom apartments for less than $1000/month if you take the time to look around.

3 College Junior

Facilities: You Have to Find Your Niche – The facilities here are great, and there are many opportunities for employment and advancement, but the social scene and campus life are a bit lacking. There's not much to do in Montgomery since it's a fairly small city, but once you find your niche, your own group of friends who share your interests, it can be a really fun and exciting place.

4 College Junior

Off-Campus Dining: Good Variety, Great Price – From Asian cuisine to Mexican and Italian culinary delights, Montgomery has a growing variety of international and American food at a reasonable price. Even the more expensive restaurants have a great deal to offer.

5 College Freshman

Weather: Weather, for the most part, in Alabama is mostly good. There is hardly ever any snow and the only bad weather is tornados. Getting to class is not a problem because the campus is located off the interstate and there is plently of parking.

5 College Freshman

Facilities: Excellent Campus – AUM is an excellent campus and provides educational services with very professional individuals. I have found that all employees of AUM are very willing to listen, give advice and help with my choices and eudcation goals. There are many activities to become involved in and chances to explore different things than I am used to. There are many sports to become involved in or to support and chances to work on the campus. There are places to eat and a wonderful library to study in. AUM is my choice of college and I look forward to my years there.

1 College Freshman

Scholarships: No Help at All – The financial aid department is not a department I like dealing with. The workers are not on top of their game ever.

3 College Sophomore

Weather: Tornado City – The weather here is great, its mostly HOT all the time. The only thing is we have a tornado warning atleast every week or every other week. Which can be very scary

2 College Sophomore

Facilities: Construction Mania – See Auburn University Montgomery isnt a big school, we dont have a far commute to classes the building are all bunched together. the dorms arent very far away from the West courtyards maybe a 2 minute walk and from the North Commons maybe a 5 minute walk. Well now we have a load of construction going on which makes the commute longer, the cafeteria has a broad choice of foods so no one is in there, and barely if they are. Its just boring here on campus its nothing much to do.
