5 College Senior

Student Body: Everyone is treated equally at atlantic cape. There is a diverse group of students and staff.

4 College Sophomore

Academic Flexibility: The campus and its staff have been very flexible, though this does vary amongst teachers. For the most part, assignments, scheduling and access to assistance and insight from the faculty have been very practical.

5 College Sophomore

Campus Resources: The campus provides a wide variety of computer equiptment and easy access to these in the classroom as well as at the well stocked and staffed library.

4 College Sophomore

Campus Resources: The campus provides a very interactive online course with a variety of majors for the prospective student looking to balance adult responsibilities with educational aspirations. The college representatives are very punctual and helpful with all concerns and questions and this is a great relief whenever I encounter a concern.

College Senior

Online Courses: I was unable to complete the course. I had to withdraw because I feel that I need to be in the classroom in order to be productive.

Academic Flexibility: For the entire school which covers two counties of the most densely populated state in the nation there is only one organic chemistry class taught per year. It is also at night which is inconvenient because many college students at ACCC have other responsibilites at night such as working. There needs to be more of the same classes offered at different times not just because of scheduling difficulties but also because of class sizes as I am currently waitlisted on a class that is mandatory for my graduation.

4 College Junior

Academic Flexibility: My high school AP classes all transferred in, and I anticipate all of my ACCC classes to transfer to a 4 year school.

4 College Junior

Student Body: Commuters, pretty much see people just during school.

4 College Junior

Online Courses: Easy to follow, professors are available for questions.

3 College Student

Campus Resources: The library was good to have. Sometimes there were enough computers and sometimes there wasn't.

Tuition & Financial Aid: There financial aid really helped me the first and second semester.

3 College Sophomore

Tuition & Financial Aid: Make sure you sit with someone who is knows this stuff! As an adult I had no clue and nobody explained financial aid. Paid out of my own pocket while struggling to pay bills until a teacher finally explained a few things and got me started in the right direction.

College Sophomore

Career Services: I am an adult student who is currently working part time. I am not in need of career services offered at the school

4 College Junior

Academic Experience: Currently I am a Criminal Justice major, and almost off of my teachers/professors have worked extensively in their fields. Many of them are part-time teachers and are still working in the field, which keeps class information current.

3 College Junior

Tuition & Financial Aid: I am getting a good education. I did not get any financial aid, which would have been a big help since I am paying for college myself. However, the tuition is reasonable and I have been able to keep up with the cost for the most part.

1 College Senior

Career Services: They quality of post-grad services are very weak, in-fact they are almost non-existing. the school has a graduation program that helps graduate students with the transfer process to many New Jersey, and some out of state colleges.

Campus Resources: Our computer network can be described with two words "super slow" our internet is slow enough that you might just think it is dial up. the campus lacks WiFi, unless you are in the library. printing is only available in the library. But hey, you have to be appreciative of what you have, because some students around the world barely have access to computers and still manage to become successful in this world.

3 College Senior

Campus Resources: My favorite place in my college is the Student Life Center; here you always meet interesting people. you are able to enjoy a game of table tennis, play chess checkers, and a many other variety of board games, or you can just choose to relax in front of the t.v and watch you favorite show. The college is always providing the students with activities and events. On earth day clubs all find a place on campus and make it more green. The college also has a gym to run or lift weights. and on certain days of the week students are invited to use the main gym for basketball or volley ball, but our college is small and the gym is barely accessible because so many students use it.

Campus Resources: although Atlantic Cape Community College is a tiny school, it helps students learn, get on the right path, and achieve their goal. Every school has it's negatives and positives. ACCC has helped me in many ways, i have been able to build a concrete base to achieve my goals of becoming a doctor. This small school allows you to gain knowledge and wisdom. You are able to connect to every one from students, teachers, and even the dean of students and president of the school. For instance the president of the school is always at events giving motivational and empowering speeches to the students. The down side to being in a small school, is having very little connections to larger schools.

4 College Senior

Campus Resources: The resources at the Atlantic Cape Community College are excellent. We have a gym, fitness room, a student lounge, and a very big cafeteria were you can sit down and eat and get some homework done it you need to. Most resources on campus have a calm and quiet atmosphere. Also, We have a enormous computer lab with a library adjacent to it. A college students dream.

3 College Sophomore

Student Body: because its a community college most people leave right after class.

4 College Sophomore

Academic Experience: class size is good, positive interaction with students and accessability of professors who are quite knowledgeable.

3 College Sophomore

Academic Experience: I wish the professors would push the students a little harder and grade appropriately based on class attendance.

4 College Junior

Tuition & Financial Aid: i never had any issues dealing with the financial department. also, the school is very affordable with tuition.

3 College Sophomore

Academic Experience: There is a lot of hands on things to do; its part of the class. But the homework can be sometimes overwhelming.

Atlantic Cape is a very good college for students who are not quite sure what they want to do for a future career, or who cannot afford to attend an expensive four-year college. It offers a wide variety of classes on many campuses, and the campus advisers are always willing to answer questions or guide students toward a major that will work for them. Atlantic Cape professors will prepare their students for transfer to a larger college through their lessons. Most students improve their writing, math, computer, and any other skill applied to their major before transferring junior year, which gives ACCC students an edge in their new school.

Atlantic Cape Community College is unique for many reasons. It provides students with an oppurtunity to get all of their general courses, such as math, over with at a much cheaper cost than other colleges. It gives individuals returning to school after a period of time an oppurtunity that fits with their schedule and school experiences. Atlantic Cape is an overall great school to choose because it has great teachers and a good student atmosphere no matter what age, and it is close to home and convienent.
