College Senior

Online Courses: I wish I had taken online classes because most of my assignments were online. I still had to come to school everyday even though I finished the course. Atlanta Tech was very strict on attendance.

5 College Senior

Academic Experience: I was able to keep track of my grades online and hand written. Since I was straight out of high school, the work given was easy to do and I was able to finish months before the semester was even over.

5 College Senior

Academic Experience: Each teacher I had, had a run down of how class would go. Nothing new ever happened in the routine and that I was happy about because it made it easy for me to follow.

4 College Senior

Academic Flexibility: I was able to choose my own hours of school, such as morning, noon, or night. The hours worked well with me. I was a morning student until noon.

Facilities: Our school have a lot of art. We are more so laid back. The vibe is chilled. Therefore, a lot of work can be done in a small amount of time.

College Senior

Career Services: The school say that they will help us find a job, but thus far everybody I have talked to said they found one on their own.

Campus Resources: The campus is clean. That I can say. As far as trying to navigate around the building, is difficult. My first couple of days there was ruff. Even though I took a practice round around the campus days before, it seemed like it was even more difficult because they had the students take other ways because the halls were crowded.

Campus Resources: I do not use computers in every class, but for the ones I do use computers, they work. Every single one of them. If one does not work, the teacher can assist us, and if it is necessary, a technician will come to the class and fix the problem. The only thing I d not like is that in the library, we have to pay to use the computers. If thats the case what does the money go to that we pay for lab fees?

Student Body: The students are friendly. Its a good atmosphere but in every establishment, it could always be better because the students are the only ones who suppose to make up the school.

3 College Senior

Overall Experience: The students make the school fun. Everyday there is a new person to speak to me, whether they are asking for directions or just saying a simple hello or good morning. So of the teachers remind me of my high school teachers but other then that my teachers are older so its not that exciting to attend class sometimes.

Tuition & Financial Aid: Going to Atlanta Technical College, there is nothing but LONG LINES. I understand that there are a lot of students asking the same questions but the staff members act as if they don't have time to explain in detail what's wrong. They simply say come back, or they tell us to review our financial aid application and come back again to discuss the issue. As far as admissions, it is not that bad. I am able to go in and come out within 15 maybe 30 minutes tops.

Academic Experience: I've switched program. Hated everything about the first one and though the second one was hard work, I liked it a lot.

Academic Experience: The instructor's are pretty good. But class registration is stressful. Certain things are not clear. Like applying for the Spring semester, the deadline was November 25. I went to apply On October 29, and found out their doing this new thing about bringing in your original birth certificate to prove you're a citizen before being able to process your application. Something like that should have been posted everywhere, home page of the website and everything because some may be having problems with their student email. Also, registration week was last week and I never received any mail or an email to my personal email address making me aware of a specific day and time I should come in to register for my classes. Thank god they changed program changes over to online but now their saying you're only allowed to do that once every semester (makes no sense). Also, the website needs upgrading because finding instructor's numbers and emails are not a breeze and sometimes that's the only way you can register for classes....basically hunting down your program instructor's contact info.

Campus Resources: The library is great but it's a technical college so I don't know about campus activities. The tutoring department is really good and have some of the best staff.

Campus Resources: Connection is good. The library is amazing. Printing is the cheapest.

Online Courses: I love taking online classes. Everybody learns different and I think I actually learn more by taking online classes. Why? Because on campus there can be a big class size and not much time for individual attention or different pace. The math system online is amazing, teaches you step by step what you did wrong. I learned more online than I ever did in class. A student just has to be disciplined to do the work. But their math online is the best, not for everybody but state of the art.

Facilities: It's not like a school with dorms, football teams, school spirit. A lot of people here are here for education and are pretty serious. The programs they offer are pretty good for an affordable price but I wish diversity continued to grow. The best thing about this school is the library, it's really amazing and the fact that it offers GED class for FREE!

Tuition & Financial Aid: In the beginning it was really unorganized and some staff members in the financial aide office were rude and the lines were long. They have this rule where they have a certain amount of days you can use your financial aide to get books but at times there has been an instance where they ran out of books and the time ran out and students were mortified at how unorganized things were. Getting financial aide is a breeze but time is of the essence, apply for financial aide, attend financial aide workshops they have MONTHS in advance so there won't be any close calls such as being dropped from a class due to your financial aide not kicking in.

Academic Flexibility: Flexibility is good depending on what point you're at in your program. If you're not in your vital course class stages you can pick any class schedule you want. Later, you have to go with what's available because sometimes only one instructor is teaching a class at a certain time and the other option maybe more of an inconvenience. I had some really bad experiences, some good. Not horrible but not all that great either.

Overall Experience: My experience has gone from great first semester to bad. I was once dropped from a class without warning due to medical reasons and I thought it was unfair to not warn me or find out why and then when I try to explain, make me feel as though it was some lie I made up when I even had proof. Also, the unorganized aspects regarding registering and financial aide. They didn't tell you when you got your refund or how much it would be, how you could apply for loans, etc. The lines use to be way too long and though the new library is amazing it is kind of inconveniently a walk away from the main building. Also, before they didn't make it known when the book buy back was going on and would run out of money which I think is so ridiculous. But it has improved, the instructor's are pretty amazing. It's not a bad place to start but still has a lot of upgrading and improving.

Recent Alumnus

Career Services: I won't rate because though it has been unsuccessful for me it is due to a technical issue with my student email which was disabled after not being used over a long period of time.

3 Recent Alumnus

Student Body: It's not 5 stars because I would love to see more diversity, only did diversity increase when more programs were added but some students seemed to dislike the diversity increase, like a grown pregnant woman mimicking the way a young woman talked who was of a difference race/background at the bus stop. It was disgusting to me because that's what devalues the school and that's why I knew I would obtain a higher degree elsewhere because in the beginning it seemed kind of ghetto but has since gotten a little better.

3 College Junior

Academic Flexibility: If you speak with the professor ahead of time I'm pretty sure you can work something out.

5 College Junior

Online Courses: Online is the best when the courses are available during that term.

3 College Junior

Overall Experience: Needs more staff members for best assistance and service time. Needs to go back to quarterly and not semester based.
