5 College Junior

Student Body: You get to know the student s who have the same major as you very well. There are only 4 required classes for my major so we will see each other in all of our classes. We work together and create connections that will come in handy in the future.

3 College Junior

Overall Experience: This wasn't my first choice of school. This school's tuition was very low compared to the other choices I mad. This school was just a stepping stool or beginning for me to get my feet planted until I could afford the school of my choice.

4 College Junior

Facilities: Most of the facilities are great. There are not that many computer labs that are for all students. The computer for all students ate located only in the library building.

4 College Junior

Academic Flexibility: I have been able to get most of my classes scheduled around the time and days that I wanted

The exceptions are the ones where there were not any available classes during a certain semester or if I waited too late to register for a class

3 College Junior

Online Courses: I only took one online class but it was an okay experience because the professor was willing to work with us. I wouldn't take another online class because there is no face to face interactions and sometimes you need to get extra explanation that can't be sent through an email

3 College Junior

Campus Resources: The computers are great and some let you print for free up to 10 pages. The wifi connections is also great. Other times it shuts off or has problems.

4 College Junior

Campus Resources: We have computer labs for students and visitors with some free printing. The school just rebuilt the student center and added a larger book store and gym. There are few resources for students to take advantage of like the tutoring centers for math and English.

College Junior

Career Services: We don't have a career service. You have to talk to your professors about job opportunities in your field, unless you have outside connections. Some programs at the school migt have small career workshops

3 College Junior

Tuition & Financial Aid: The tuition of the school is pretty low compared to other public and private schools. Sometimes if you only have one source of scholarship or grants, you might not have enough money left over to buy books for classes after the tuition is paid

3 College Junior

Academic Experience: There is a variety of academics offered at the school. Sometimes according to your major you might not get the classes you want or need if you wait too long to register because there might only be one or two of the classes you need offered. The work load can be a lot depending on the teacher and what class.

3 College Junior

Academic Experience: The mass communication program is very small, there are only a few couple of teachers who teach the required classes for the major. There are no internship programs at the school, so you hve to find them outside of the school. At least you have a teacher to go to, ti ask suggestions about where to go

3 College Sophomore

Facilities: I think what sets my school apart is that many more students have started attending the school and within the last five years they have made a big updates and changes to school. So the reputation of the school has changed but makes them different.

3 College Sophomore

Tuition & Financial Aid: The financial aid office at Atlanta Metropolitan can very helpful but at the same time become a very frustrating process due to the fact that they do not give enough information first had.It seems that you have to go there constantly to get one task done.

3 College Freshman

Student Body: The school boasts a 95% African-American student body, but there are other cultures attending the school evvery semester adding to its diversity.

4 College Freshman

Overall Experience: AMSC has been a staple in the community for years. I have watched the school grow from a couple of buildings as a junior college to a 4 year state college with several buildings. I love the ease of maneuvering around the campus as well as the new programs added for more educational opprtunities.

3 College Freshman

Tuition & Financial Aid: I receive the tuition assistance program at the school I attend, because I am employed by the school.

3 College Freshman

Facilities: I really can't express an opinion because this is my first college experience.

2 College Freshman

Online Courses: I prefer the traditional classroom experience versus online courses. The peer to peer interaction is necessary and more conducive to a proper learning environment. Also the availability of the professor is a big plus.

3 College Freshman

Career Services: I cant rate it at this time.

4 College Freshman

Campus Resources: The school recently renovaed the student center which boasts a new gym and activity center for students use. The library offers great services, such as computers and book loan program.

4 College Freshman

Campus Resources: The school offcers multiple computer labs in every building except the Physical Education building. The school gives each student money on their identification cards to use for printing. The wireless network is average depending on the amount of students logged in, but the availability of computer labs renders the need for a personal computer obsolete.

4 College Freshman

Academic Experience: Atlanta Metropolitan State College employs knowledgable professors dedicated to their craft. The curriculum is consistent with subject content. The registartion process is simple, especially with early registration offered. The workload is suitable for all types of learners and the learning support center allows those with difficulties to get available tutoring.

3 College Freshman

Academic Experience: I have yet to start on the classes pertaining to my major. I am still completing prerequisites.

4 College Freshman

Academic Flexibility: The school offers different times and days for the appropriate classes needed for my degree.
