Campus Resources: The campus itself is easy to navigate, but the parking is horrible. I constantly find myself having to park on the other side of campus and walking 20 minutes to get to my classroom. Students do not live on campus, so everyone has to drive. On the plus side, there are a few places to grab lunch and coffee in between classes.

Student Body: I have not had any issues with the student body since I started attending athens tech.

Tuition & Financial Aid: I don't quite understand all the technical fees associated with tuition but I don't have any problems with financial aid or the tuition.

Academic Flexibility: I gave them a B+ only because they should offer more courses on the satelite campuses that or in the competitive fields.

Academic Experience: Classes Are Interesting – I just started this year and I'm a Biotechnology major. My advisor has been very helpful with creating a semester schedule as to what classes they advise and when to take them. Currently I am taking classes that are non major specific but will start some major classes next semester.

Tuition & Financial Aid: They accept the pell grant and other scholarships but they do not accept federal student loans.Their fees and charge per tuition hour are much lower than other schools in the area. The people in the financial aid office are all very nice and helpful.

Online Courses: Very Well Explained – The syllabus is very thorough. Sometimes you just have to click on a lesson to complete it. Most everything is graded by the end of the following week if not sooner therefore there is no need to stress out over your grades because they are right there

Campus Resources: Academic Programs – There are many academic programs available in just about anything you can think of, most can also be transfered to a 4 year college of your choosing for further advancement into a bachelor's degree and beyond. They also offer diploma and certificate programs that allow you to get into the work force that much faster many in under a year's time.

Campus Resources: The campus is well laid out with plenty of parking. Campus overall is quite pretty with lots of trees and plants. There are plenty of computers to use in labs as well as library access. The library itself is well organized and full of anything you might need for classes. The student center is located in the same building as the administration offices. I do think it could use more resources for students, there is one restaurant and the bookstore.

Student Body: Very Diverse – There is a wide diversity of student type at the school. I am for example a 35 year old mother of 4 in my first semester there. In one of my classes there is a lady that has a child in college and one that is in high school, kids that you can tell probably just graduated from high school, and a few like me that are somewhere in between. There are all walks of life, different ethnicities, political backgrounds, and varying economic backgrounds. Overall I do believe it is a well rounded school where anyone could fit in nicely.

Academic Flexibility: I like the fact that there is such flexibility with the choices in class times. This is wonderful for me since I anticipate being back working full time while finishing my degree.

Academic Experience: Just Right – The classes are great for preparing someone to step into a career with actual hands on experience.

Online Courses: Be Diligent – Loved not having to get out and use gas going to class, but you have to be diligent! You can’t put off the lessons just because you feel you don’t have to do it right then. It’s easy to become complacent so stay on top of your assignments. I found no lack of instructor/student or peer to peer relationship. In fact, I was quite surprised at the interaction and rapid resposes to my posting of a comment or question by the other students and my instructor with the online course! And if there was something I need futhur explanation on, my instructor was available by appointment or during posted office hours.

Tuition & Financial Aid: Rapid Response but One Surprise – The people I've dealt with in the Financial Aid office have been pleasant and knowledgeable; however, there was one surprise-the financial aid is spread out over 3 semesters (Fall, Winter and Summer) instead of the typical 2 (Fall and Spring) so the award amount per semester was lower. While it did cover the tuition in full, it only allotted what was left over after tuition for books so I had to cover the remaining amount which I was not expecting. Being a single mom that was an expense I really didn't need as it took away from my ability to pay a couple of bills (gas, phone...bills of that nature), but since I am a huge believer in education, I sucked it up and paid it. Now I know.

Academic Flexibility: Easy Schedule – The classes are set up to flow along with the program. The program is expected to last about 2 years, and only specific classes are offered each semester within the program. As long as you don't miss anything offered with in the semester, it flows along pretty smooth.

Academic Experience: Interesting and Challenging Curriculum – So far the program has kept me interested in continuing my education. There are only a few core ed courses necessary for the diploma program, most of the classes are specifically related to the program.

Academic Experience: I understand that this is a small technical college, but sometimes I feel the professors are not as experienced as they should be. There have been problems arise where some of the hands on projects were done incorrectly even with the teacher assistance. And another professor for a core ed course was extremely unapproachable for questions from students.

3 College Senior

Tuition & Financial Aid: Diploma Program – I am currently paying out of state tuition to take the course program I am enrolled in, and was told that with the Diploma program I was ineligable for financial aid. The program is almost 2 years long, I do not believe this is right.

Campus Resources: Poor Campus Activities – I know a lot of schools around me have work out rooms available and parks, andy school is just buildings. It's kind of upsetting. But you have to take the good with the bad!

3 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: Content With My Choice – Ive never been big into school like some students but everyone's different, we all have one thing in common, that's knowing that we have to go to school to have a good life. I'm satisfied with my choice and it was my best option for my program!

3 College Sophomore

Academic Flexibility: The front offices like financial aid and registerations they are not very polite it feels like, when I have more the one question. Other then that I like my school and staff!

5 College Sophomore

Online Courses: Intro to Psychology – This was my favorite online course because the instructor had everyting available on the home page and explained clearly how everything was to be done. She had easy-to-follow power point notes with sound, sort of like a lecture, all the links to practice quizzes and interesting articles. I very much enjoyed this online class. Plenty of time was alloted for assignments, quizzes, and exams, and she graded very fairly. It was great studying and taking exams in my own time. I was able to stay with my toddler while attending school! That was the best part for me.

4 College Sophomore

Campus Resources: No Technical Issues So Far – I have had no problems so far with the using any of the labs, network, or printers. You can use the computer lab anytime, you can pay to print in the library if needed. If you work it right, you can print in the classrooms (they always keep the printers stocked with paper) for free.

4 College Sophomore

Academic Flexibility: Schedule Flexibility – This school offers a wide variety of options for scheduling class times, whether you need morning, evening, online, or weekend classes.

4 College Sophomore

Campus Resources: My school offers free tutoring in the student center on almost any subject needed. They are very good about helping out students who need a little extra help.
