4 College Junior

Facilities: I really like our facilities here. They are not austere, and they are not super spaceship high-tech -- just right. Campus security really is a police force, you feel safe here in facilities and out.

Athletics: Athletics are nice here, depending on the sport, but they are not central to student life as they are in the south. Team Captains are chosen through various means for various teams. A friend of mine found that her team was moderately serious about sport and heavily serious about drinking (her first meeting with team captains was about how to get a fake ID), and coach is pretty chill with that situation. Football is tough for us, but many of us go to support the hard work of the team.

Local Atmosphere: Worcester is rather sketchy honestly. I would be very careful. But, if you take the Woo bus or you're just going to the grocery store or something, then you'll be fine. I would definitely go with others.
There is plenty of shopping.
Certain areas of Worcester are safer than other. Where Assumption is, it's extremely safe.
There are events, but I don't attend them often.

Facilities: The Plourde (the gym) is excellent. They have like-new equipment. The only issue is the top indoor track. It's just a small little track that people run around. It's not that good considering you have to run around it 9 times to complete a mile. The library and IT are excellent places to sit and do work. You can definitely complete tons of homework at these locations. Campus events/traditions are always fun too; we don't have too many, but they are definitely worth attending.

Transportation: I don't use the transportation at Assumption, but they do have the Woo Bus which will bring you to some malls/shopping areas in Worcester. Also, there are plenty of cabs, which can take you anywhere you want. Honestly though, unless you're going to go out, then there's no need to use a cab or anything. My roommate just stays on campus almost all the time because everything you need is right on campus.

Facilities: We have many academic majors and minors. Our facilities are pretty well put together. Campus life is pretty good -- there aren't many parties though. Facilities are very nice and there are many computers and printers throughout the campus, which is also excellent. The campus is also extremely well lit, so there's no problem walking around at night.

4 College Junior

Health & Safety: The campus is very well lit and the campus isn't in an area were too many outside people come in.

4 College Junior

Campus Dining: If you get tired of the dining hall you can always use meal swipes at Charlies.

3 College Junior

Computers: There are plenty of computer labs in the school but printing can sometimes be an issue.

2 College Freshman

Transportation: The buses are usually running late and often times do not even show up.

4 College Freshman

Campus Strictness: Overall, the campus is very strict in their rulles, but it is for the best. I would rather be ssafe than have rules that are not followed through.

3 College Sophomore

Transportation: They have the safe rides back to campus from anywhere in worcester for 5 bucks which is good when you're drunk and need to get back to school without paying an arm and a leg. Other than that transportation if fairly decent

3 College Sophomore

Facilities: Very old buildings that need renevating, except the new science center which is state of the art and has very nice labs and classrooms

3 College Sophomore

Campus Strictness: Very strict in and out of the classroom. Party scene is often dominated by avoiding RA's and hiding to out just to have a good time. They are the fun sponges at this school which is annoying. In the classroom very strict in regards to cheating, its not very tolerated.

3 College Sophomore

Diversity: Most students are white however there is still a vast majorty with regards to religion, sexual orientation, etc

3 College Sophomore

Weather: School rarely gets cancelled and if it does it will be at the very last minute so you cant go out and drink since you dont have classes

3 College Sophomore

Scholarships: Fairly good assessment of what you're family needs for help. However, they were not willing to increase my financial aid once I had completed a semester. I had to maintain a 2.9 to keep my aid but my graduate school requirement was a minimum of 3.4 so it was obvious I could keep it but they still wouldn't give me more money

4 College Junior

Scholarships: This school has wonderful financial aid! I transferred and Assumption helped me with questions that my own school wouldn't answer. They give lots of scholarships and have options to help those students who are struggling financially. The financial aid office on campus is huge and there is always someone ready to help. I have had NO problems working with the Assumption College financial aid.

3 College Junior

Majors: I have not had an internship. The school does provide an online program where students can apply for full and part time jobs as well as internships. They also have a center where students can go with questions. Professors are really helpful as well they have asked me to intern, however as a commuter it is difficult for me. I can not sacrifice my steady income for a summer internship. Many students from the school get hired after interning, so it is a good program.

5 College Junior

Majors: As a junior I am 100% satisfied with my major. I might work for a local magazine, but the school helps set up jobs so who knows what i'll find! The college offers a few English programs so i can really concentrate on what I want to do, this is really helpful because it gives English majors more experience where they need it. I am a little worried about finding a job, but that is not because of the school.

5 College Junior

Majors: I LOVE being an English Major at Assumption College. The professors are wonderful and the classes are interesting. We always have guest speakers and are able to talk to authors and people working in the field.

4 College Senior

Majors: The process of getting into my program was pretty simple. They have a high acceptance rate. As long as you have decent grades you should have no problem getting in a program.

4 College Senior

Majors: A typical internship is basically low pay and maybe long hours, but its a foot in the door. I don't plan on taking an internship, hopefully just a career change. I have not had any professional training positions.

4 College Senior

Majors: Currently I am the process of a career change. I have a Bachelors degree in Biology, but I want to change careers to the Accounting field due to more job opportunities. I am happy with the program because it works perfectly with my schedule. If I had to do it all over again I definately would.

4 College Junior

Overall Experience: I have enjoyed my time at Assumption so far! Give the opportunity to do it again, I would still choose Assumption!
