Career Services: Asnuntuck has a successful career services, but I only know this from what others told me rather than my own personal experience.

Student Body: Asnuntuck is very diverse, which is one thing I really like about it. There is variation of ages, ethnicity, and social backgrounds. I especially enjoy the age variation because I have seen from my fellow classmates, known as the "nontraditional students" because of their age, many different perspectives. It is very pleasant to be around not just people my age, but people much older who have made me look at certain situations differently. There is not a great deal of interaction among students, however. This is mainly because there is a lack of clubs to bring students together. I am involved in the Student Senate and the honor society, which are two of the biggest clubs on campus. This has helped me to gain closer friendships with fellow students, but not nearly as many as I would like to have established friendships with. It would be nice to see more clubs at Asnuntuck and more interaction between students so that it no longer feels like going to school with ninety percent strangers.

Academic Experience: The academics were very challenging but well worth it. All of my professors were straight forward with their assignments and gave good grades. The registration process was easy you provide your information get accepted and sign up for your courses. They have signs to follow the registration process. Everyone is very helpful in the school which is really important being a new student.

Tuition & Financial Aid: Our financial aid and tuition is really good because they are dedicating their time and best support to pay for our college including payment plans and grants. I honestly believe my value on education for the tuition was definitely worth it learned alot and placed in a career.

Facilities: Some unique things about my school is that everybody loves to work hard. All the students and faculty are committed to helping every student being employed. Most of the students get placed in wonderful careers in the workforce. They take you from where you are to where you want to be.

Overall Experience: When i first got accepted to Asnuntuck Community College it was such a wonderful experience. Once i signed up for all of my classes i was very excited. I worked with many students that work hard for a career just like I wanted to. First day in the shop we had to take a safety test in college on all the machinery. Once we passed the test we were able to start welding in the shop and the fundamentals. Ever since i picked up a welding gun and fabricating projects I knew that welding would be a great career for me so many career paths. I learned so much from that school and made deans list both semesters 3.64 average gpa and made great friends. What makes Asnuntuck Community College unique from the others is they provide you career jobs and skills for the workforce hands on and classroom. The staff and faculty are all unique because they give all their support and have work related experience which makes this school very unique.

Campus Resources: The community college i attend is not really big on athletics but our academic center is great. Students are involved in activities such as student senate, key club, Radio station and more. Everyone communicates well with each other to work hard for a common goal.

5 College Senior

Campus Resources: The computer labs are always open for students needing to complete projects. It is open to all students and staff at very convient times.

4 College Senior

Career Services: The overall staff and school is completely awesome. There is alot of hardworking students and staff that support each other. The career centers prepare students with the technical skills they need to be sucessful in the workforce.

3 College Sophomore

Campus Resources: Not many places to study

2 College Sophomore

Tuition & Financial Aid: Financial aid process got to messy poor process

College Senior

Campus Resources: No unique programs or opportunities. It is below average in opportunity.

1 College Senior

Campus Resources: Wi-Fi is unreliable. Technology is not available for all classrooms.

2 College Senior

Campus Resources: The library and learning center are good resources. There is no athletic center, little information for groups/clubs/activities. The student lounge is not a friendly environment.

College Sophomore

Online Courses: doing an online class seemed simple enough but it seems the teachers put up too much work for me to have been able to keep up. definitely more beneficial for me to be in a classroom environment. my worst mistake was taking an online class.

Academic Experience: My classes have been pretty basic. I'm a liberal arts major and much of my studies have information that I learned in high school. I'm hoping to major in psychology when I transfer but so far most of the classes that I take have to fulfill the requirements for liberal arts, which consists of your basic english, math, sciences classes, ect. The work can be mundane but I shouldn't complain because the workload is very manageable. I still have time to work a part time job, have a social life and stay on top of my studies.

Online Courses: it can be easier for scheduing but more challenging to get in touch with instructors. for the most part I prefer these courses

3 College Junior

Academic Experience: The registration process is easy, and most of the teachers are friendly. They get to know us, not just educationally, but our personal preferences so they can adjust their teaching styles to reach all kids. Most of the time they grade based on if you learned something knew rather than on how great an essay is. The point to them is that we understand the topics and can apply them to every day situations. It really helps that the teachers aren't focused on handing out grades but rather that we improve.

5 College Junior

Academic Experience: The marketing class split up into groups and do a real marketing analysis on local businesses. The consumer behavior class does a survey to predict how much people will spend during the holidays. The advertising and promotion class do a car show to promote a car show at a speedway at the end of the semester. Economics courses write an essay on a topic of their choice and relate it to economics. Overall my business courses are helping me out in learning the stuff I need by making me do real life projects.

3 College Junior

Student Body: Most students come & leave without focusing on learning part. The groups are split between the kids who learn easily, and the kids who have difficulty with that. There are many foreign students who are trying to learn as well as the mid-age people along with the elderly to change their lives. A great thing is that community service is required in certain classes and most students help in the library or in the child day care room.

College Sophomore

Online Courses: I haven't chose to take online classes yet so I am unsure of how my school portrays them.

Overall Experience: It Was "Ok". I have attened this college for two years and my general experience from this school was "okay". There wasn't much activities that I wanted to participate in and there was little to no spirit at the campus.I can't say I had any memorable moments or experiences. However, sice attending there didn't hurt me financially when compared to attending a University I was able to accept that. So, yes I would attend the college over again.
