3 College Junior

Local Atmosphere: There are not many attractions, activities, cultural, sports or shopping available in Ashland. However, the local attitude and treatment of not only students but to everyone is great and Ashland is highly safe.

2 College Freshman

Local Atmosphere: There isn't really anything around here. You have to go about 20 minutes to get to the nearest mall and other shopping. The closest thing to us is a Wal mart.

2 College Freshman

Local Atmosphere: There is not much to do off-campus. There is a local area about 20 miles away where you can go to the movies and eat at restaurants, but that is about it.

4 College Freshman

Local Atmosphere: The scenery around Ashland is very pretty. It seems like a laid back kind of area, which is nice. The safety at Ashland is very good and I have not had a problem with it. Since I do commute I have to drive to class everyday and the parking is kind of difficult at times, but it gives me an excuse to walk more.

3 College Sophomore

Local Atmosphere: It is surrounded by rural areas. In town, there is not much shopping and we drive 20 to 30 minutes if we want to go to a Mall. Otherwise, we have Walmart. There are area parks. It is very safe on campus. The locals in businesses near campus are very friendly. Cultural events.... what? Pretty non-existent.
