3 College Sophomore

Local Atmosphere: It is surrounded by rural areas. In town, there is not much shopping and we drive 20 to 30 minutes if we want to go to a Mall. Otherwise, we have Walmart. There are area parks. It is very safe on campus. The locals in businesses near campus are very friendly. Cultural events.... what? Pretty non-existent.

3 College Sophomore

Greek Life: I think it enhances the campus. People are more active because of it. Other than that there is not much else of a social scene since we are in a rural area.

5 College Sophomore

Facilities: There are always good planned activities. The campus is beautiful. Everyone is friendly. THe athletic centers are well kept and supplied, as are the student center and library.

5 College Sophomore

Facilities: It's a small campus and I love it! You can get to know many students, there are always activities, there are sororities and fraternities, and the campus is comfortable and safe. Most of the academic programs are very good. Mine is new and has not been fine-tuned yet. That's a little disappointing. But, overall its a decent academic program.

3 College Sophomore

Athletics: Although varsity sports are important. Intramural are not encouraged or supported. People join teams and then they don't show up for the games. We rarely get to play.

3 College Sophomore

Off-Campus Housing: It is all near campus, older houses, houses are not all kept up. They are not close to shopping and restaurants. All parking is on the street. I haven't checked into cost or availability. Safety is pretty much the same as on campus.

5 College Freshman

Transportation: There is no transportation on campus

3 College Freshman

Scholarships: It's very confusing and the campus makes mistakes

4 College Freshman

Academics: Great opportunities, amazing college, and fantastic professors.

4 College Freshman

Diversity: There are all kinds of people here and most are accepted.

3 College Freshman

Campus Strictness: Campus isn't very strict, just keep quiet.

4 College Freshman

Computers: They are great and reliable around campus.

3 College Freshman

Drug Safety: There is no peer pressure to do drugs or alcohol. If you want it , you know where to find it if not you won't notice it.

3 College Freshman

Greek Life: Greek organizations are not that big of a deal around campus. Each one keeps to themselves and they live in nice houses beside campus.

4 College Freshman

Campus Housing: Housing on campus is very nice with exceptions depending on the dorms. Resident Assistants are always friendly and helpful with any and all problems and bathrooms and living areas are usually very clean.

5 College Freshman

Campus Dining: The dining options at Ashland University are spectacular. The food is excellent, and they have plenty of options for students with dietary restrictions. They go above and beyond to make sure students have what they need.

College Junior

Greek Life: We don't have "greek life" at the satellite campus I attend

4 College Junior

Computers: at the satellite campus I attend, there are plenty of computers

College Junior

Local Atmosphere: I don't live near the main campus

College Junior

Campus Dining: I attend a remote campus; I don't eat at Ashland or live near there.

4 College Junior

Majors: Not really sure about this since I've never done an internship yet.

5 College Junior

Majors: I'm very happy with my program. I would chose this school again and I know I'm getting a superior education. My career goals are to do my student teaching in either South Carolina or Florida and then either teach there or come back home to find a job. I am not overly concerned about finding a job since the need for male, early childhood educators is in high demand.

3 College Junior

Health & Safety: Although it's supposed to be a "dry" campus, you can find a party and plenty of drinking any time you want.

Parking: Since campus is pretty small and parking lots plenty, it's not an issue to find a parking spot close to where I need to be. The cost of the permit is very reasonable for a commuter.
