3 College Freshman

Scholarships: The financial aid process at my school was very easy and simple. Although I do wish I could receive more, I am not going to complain about the process.

3 College Freshman

Off-Campus Housing: I am not really sure what off-campus housing is like. I commute so I do not really have to worry about it. But I am sure the college helps in whatever way they can.

4 College Freshman

Guys & Girls: One positive I have found at college is that I could wear sweatpants to class everyday and no one would really care. A big part of the interest and social life I believe is sports.

4 College Freshman

Athletics: I believe Ashland University's athletics are wonderful. All the varsity sports are supported, and the intramural sports are a huge part of campus. There are so many different options to choose from which makes it easy to find something you would like. Also, the athletic facilities at Ashland are amazing. The different types of machines make it very easy to get a different kind of workout, so you are not repeating the same thing day after day.

Diversity: I believe that Ashland has a lot of students from different ethnic backgrounds. It is not only great for those students to come to a different country to get a college education, but it is also very helpful to students at Ashland University. Both ethnicities can learn so much from each other and more than what you would learn in a classroom. Ashland is very diverse which is an advantage for all of the students.

1 College Sophomore

Majors: I not only won't be able to find an internship, apparently they don't pay YOU, YOU PAY THEM and it costs more than your first born. It's like paying more tuition. These internships are just not readily available.

2 College Sophomore

Majors: I will have trouble finding and internship, let alone any job. I wish I had fully understood this before I chose this school. But, I love it here! I feel like I'm too far into my major at this point.

5 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: I love it here. I'm just not sure about the support that my major is NOT getting.

2 College Sophomore

Nightlife: Not much of any of the above. transportation is also an issue.

5 College Sophomore

Drug Safety: I haven't noticed any drug usage. Alcohol is rarely visible.

4 College Sophomore

Academics: I think I've really answered all this already.

3 College Sophomore

Campus Strictness: I think they are strict but really no one here gets really out of hand anyway.

3 College Sophomore

Transportation: Although most of what you need is on campus. You do need the occasional trip to walmart for sundries. You can't get there without a car.

5 College Sophomore

Campus Housing: I love living in the dorms. THe amenities are good even though the buildings are old. THey have been updated most of them with new paint and carpet. The rooms are small but the common areas are decent but could use more couches on each floor. Social atomosphere is good, that's why we need more couches. It's just way too expensive.

4 College Sophomore

Majors: I had no problem. Sometimes it's tough to get into classes that I need though.

3 College Sophomore

Majors: It's a new program. Not all the professors are that great. Others are EXCELLENT. I am disappointed that the University does not have a better internship network for my major. I did not realize this before I came here (my fault not theirs). It is going to be very difficult for me to get an internship for my major.

3 College Sophomore

Computers: I haven't had any problems.

1 College Sophomore

Scholarships: THe problem is FAFSA. My parents have their own businesses and it always difficult for them to get their tax returns done in time to apply for FAFSA. I have a scholarship that is only 1/4th of what I need. THis school is expensive.

3 College Sophomore

Guys & Girls: There is a wide variety of different types. Most are conservative though.

3 College Sophomore

Weather: It's Ohio. Nuf said.

2 College Sophomore

Off-Campus Dining: It's all repetitive and there are very few places. The better places are expensive when you want something different. There arent' many student discounts and I think things closer to campus are expensive.

3 College Sophomore

Local Atmosphere: It is surrounded by rural areas. In town, there is not much shopping and we drive 20 to 30 minutes if we want to go to a Mall. Otherwise, we have Walmart. There are area parks. It is very safe on campus. The locals in businesses near campus are very friendly. Cultural events.... what? Pretty non-existent.

3 College Sophomore

Greek Life: I think it enhances the campus. People are more active because of it. Other than that there is not much else of a social scene since we are in a rural area.

5 College Sophomore

Facilities: There are always good planned activities. The campus is beautiful. Everyone is friendly. THe athletic centers are well kept and supplied, as are the student center and library.

5 College Sophomore

Facilities: It's a small campus and I love it! You can get to know many students, there are always activities, there are sororities and fraternities, and the campus is comfortable and safe. Most of the academic programs are very good. Mine is new and has not been fine-tuned yet. That's a little disappointing. But, overall its a decent academic program.
