3 College Sophomore

Scholarships: They do a fairly good job. I wish they would help you apply for scholarships that apply to you.

3 College Junior

Nightlife: Not Sure – I have a C because I can't really say. I don't really go anyway or go out because I want to be in bed at a decent hour. I am more about getting good grade before having fun. If I go out then I would do it on weekends in Kent.

1 College Junior

Scholarships: Not Much Help – The financial aid process is horrible. The only help that I receive is FASFA. I am struggling getting through school and have no help.

5 College Junior

Greek Life: Greek life is amazing. I have met some, if not all, of my best friends within my sisterhood. In fact, I met all of my bridesmaids in my sorority. My sisterhood has helped me to become the person I am today. I once with shy and stood in the back. But now I am a leader and extremely outgoing. It has taught my responsibility and passion for help others through our philanthropy.

3 College Sophomore

Off-Campus Dining: Barely the Basics – We have fast food places and thats about it. There are a couple restaurants. Applebees and Jakes are the only chain restaurants. The rest are small, local places.

3 College Sophomore

Academics: Programs Are Solid – Ashland has a pretty good Academics Program all around. Especially the Education Program. It gets you in the field your freshmen year. Yes, there can still be many improvements made but it is a lot better than other places.

Nightlife: NO Night Life – There is nothing to do in Ashland. It is a dry campus. You can not have parties barely anywhere with out getting in trouble. Be careful where you party. No place for people that are 18 on the weekends either.

4 College Freshman

Transportation: You Can Walk Everywhere – The campus is the perfect size. It is not to big but at the same time not to small. If you have a car on campus the only reason you would need to use it is if you travel off of campus. Everything is within minutes of dorms and academic buildings.

4 College Freshman

Athletics: Sports Are Good – The baseball team here on campus is one of the best division two programs in the country. Our swim team is solid. Our womens basketball team made it to the national championship game this past year 2012. The football team has not been historically good but it is turning around. Our softball team has been really good the past four years making several runs in the postseason.

3 College Freshman

Guys & Girls: Not a Lot of Girls Here – The girls that are on campus are either taken or are not the type of girl that you would want to date. They are however really nice and easy to get along with.

3 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: The rules at this school can be rough. But if you follow the rules and have an open mind you will have a great time. The people here are amazing and so is the food!

2 College Sophomore

Parking: The parking lots are big with plenty of room for everyone however if you don't park in your lot you WILL get a ticket. They are very strict with that.

4 College Sophomore

Local Atmosphere: Small Town With a Home-Like Atmosphere – Small town with a home-like atmospher. There's not a lot to do but for the small city it offers a lot to us. I always feel safe and at home when I'm at school.

3 College Freshman

Greek Life: They are very loud, friendly, and weird. There are no Greek houses for the girls only guys

4 College Freshman

Facilities: They were all recently updated, so they are very nice. We have a top of the line gym for the athletes.

4 College Freshman

Local Atmosphere: Small Town Feel – Ashland has a very small town feel. Not to much going on, everyone tends to go home unless your favorite sport is in sesason.

4 College Freshman

Academics: Pros of Biology – Seeing that my school is smaller allows all the Biology majors to interact with each other. Also everyone knows each other and are comfortable when around one another.

1 College Freshman

Parking: Permit costs are 50 dollar, plus every parking ticket is $25 and up. After third ticket your permit is taken away. You have to walk 15 minutes from your dorm to your car, which is terrible!

1 College Freshman

Campus Strictness: Dry Campus, if your caught punishment is very severe, Do not tell others about your party.

1 College Freshman

Diversity: Lots of White Students – There are a couple different races, but the school is mainly majority white.

4 College Freshman

Academics: The workload is very manageable for students and fits into one being able to graduate on time. I really commend the school in finding the best way for students to be successful in the right amount of time.

3 College Freshman

Overall Experience: Ashland is a pretty cool place to go if your not interested in the super crazy party life schools like Ohio University. The reason I like Ashland so much is because there nursing program is awesome. Ill give up the party life for a good degree.

3 College Freshman

Off-Campus Dining: Surronding Food Options – Directy next to campus there is a buffalo wild wings where food is decently priced and you can watch sports that arent available on campus. Also near to campus is a taco bell, friendlys, subway, wendys, and mcdonalds. There are also many pizza places around campus that deliver.

1 College Freshman

Diversity: The people on campus can be very closed-minded. Everyone is very cliquey!!! Everyone is also very conservative and religious.

1 College Freshman

Campus Housing: Rooms Are Small – When you visit campus they show you a triple in Kem. They never show you Kilhefner which has rooms about half the size and their furniture is falling apart. The rooms are extremley small. In most dorms you can't unbunk the beds.
