Student Body: The student body at Ashford University is very wide and diverse. A majority of the student body are hard working individuals, many with families, and are taking the opportunity to achieve a goal that could not be grasped in younger years. Many are there to help one another, have fun with each other, and keep the drive to continue strong. As with any school, online or brick/mortar, there will always be the handful that have negative things to say about their experience. When the number of attendees climb the more work administration has to conduct and the process of FA, admissions, or even to answer a question is going to take a little longer.

Career Services: I have not used the services, although it is provided.

Academic Flexibility: I love the flexibility of Ashford. I could attend class via online in the day and work at night.

Academic Flexibility: I work all the time plus I am a mom of two boys who are 1 month and 3 years old going to school has been the best thing for me. I can work at home when I am not at work and still be here with my boys. I can work at my own pace but follow the deadlines also that we are give. With Ashford University they have really made my college life a lot better. I attended another college in a different state where I was living and didn't think all my credits would transfer then when I started at Ashford they all transferred in so that helped me out a lot.

Student Body: Every one here at Ashford have been very helpful to me when I need the help the most. I feel that the response that I get from them is faster then my past colleges I have attended.

Campus Resources: Whatever you need help with, you are assisted almost immediately.

Academic Experience: If you have attended a few colleges and are transferring 60+ credits from those schools, take a few classes from your intended degree plan before being assigned that plan. You will save yourself at least 5 weeks, in not having to take PSY 202 Adult Development and Life Assessment. My academic advisor told me this after I was in my 4th week of the course. Save your hard earned money and your precious time.

The professors are some of the best in their respective fields. Some respond to everyone in class, and some respond to those who they deem can continue the discussion. Feedback is always crucial, especially in accelerated courses; these professors were top-notch when it came to giving feedback.

Tuition & Financial Aid: Their financial services department was very helpful by assisting me in completing FASFA and was very timely in sending the "overage."

Career Services: For me personnally, this service is irrelevant in saying, I am in the Air Force and still have 10 years before I can retire therefore not needing the service provided by Ashford.

Online Courses: Online courses are great. However, I miss communicating face-to-face with my peers and professors. Nonetheless, I have had some great conversations discussing assignments with my peers online, and the instructors are available to offer feedback and help me when I need it.

Tuition & Financial Aid: This school is a little costly. Still, it is worth the money because you get what you pay for.

Campus Resources: The online resources are fairly easy to navigate. I have done very well on papers using their resources.

Campus Resources: It works for the most part but is down for repair too often

All classes were geared specifically to my related field, provided timely and accurate information to the current trends within the fields and provided my with an knowledge base that is sure to land me an exciting career in the Hospitality Industry in the near future.

4 College Sophomore

Academic Experience: All the academics are up to date and infomative. The professors are there to help you but they also depend on you to be self sufficient. It is just like a job, you must prove yourself. The curriculum is standard and is current to what is going on in present day. I like the labs and the math classes. It is very high tech and up to speed with our computers and technology. Technology is key because it helps us relate to our work environment. Class registration is easy. Your advisor guides you through the whole process. Not a missed moment. I am deaf and they provide student health services for the deaf and hard of hearing.

Tuition & Financial Aid: Can be difficult to reach at times, but is rather fast in processing paperwork, etc..

Academic Experience: As a business administration all of my classes are tailored and relevant to achieving my degree. As a bonus, Ashford University allowed me to transfer military training to get rid of those pesky electives.

3 College Sophomore

Academic Experience: I am a criminal justice major and my classes are just like they are suppose to be, teaching about being a good police officer. I havn't been involved with much except for the classes in my school due to the military. However, I do try and make time everyday to read, study and work on my school work. The workload is pretty intensive even though I am taking only a few classes at a time.

4 College Sophomore

Academic Experience: This school has been extremely helpful to me these past years while being in the military deployed or not. That does not mean I have run into a few problems every once in a while, but they are very minor. The professors have helped me so much when I am in need of it especially when duty calls. In the military the mission comes first but I am still able to perform my academic duties.

Ashford University provides a great learning experience in a very unique environment. If you ask online Ashford students if they're happy with their choice to attend school there, most would probably say that they would do it all over again if they could, mainly because of its flexibility and convenience with schedules. The instructors are helpful and respond to questions in a timely manner, usually within one to two days. The instructors are helpful and encourage students to constantly look for better answers. Online classes are very convenient to students with complicated schedules; students can complete assignments at their own leisure, yet within the time constraints of deadlines. Most students find no problem completing their assignments.

A drawback of being an online student is that you don't have the opportunity to really check out the organizations or physical resources Ashford offers. However, the University does have an online library that students can go into from the Student Portal. The library is easy to use, and students can usually find most of the sources they need when writing a research paper. Even though it isn't your typical college interaction, the instructors and classmates are friendly and very helpful when you have questions. Students are able to help each other in unique ways. In one case, a student didn't have her book for class yet, and another student was able to scan a copy of the assignment and e-mail an attachment to her. Classmates are also helpful in post discussions and give each other timely advice and wisdom.
