Academic Flexibility: My experience with AU continues to be excellent and my advisors are consistently on top of keeping tabs on me and my education. The student portal is easy to access and so far school has been a breeze primarily because I have enjoyed every course I have enrolled in. Unfortunately I will say that I originally enrolled with AU for a more "affordable" education but I have still wound up with quite a fee that requires help from Sallie Mae. I was hoping to avoid this but I guess I'll continue through with AU until I am done. Other than that, great school!

2 College Junior

Tuition & Financial Aid: I think the coursework for online could be better.

3 College Junior

Campus Resources: I go online so I don't know what they have on campus

4 College Senior

Online Courses: The process was very easy from filling out the application to starting class. A online class is more relaxing. You have more time to look into the work you are doing. In a classroom your teacher will ask you a question and it seems like you have to answer her within the next minute without time to think.

College Senior

Campus Resources: I only attend online classes. I have not seen or experienced the campus physically.

5 College Senior

Campus Resources: Student friendly and eventhough I am not on campus I feel like I am.

4 College Senior

Academic Experience: Even though it is online study the professors demonstrate a genuine care and concern for the students.

3 College Senior

Student Body: It is my experiece that because all of the students are online learners that I interact with I give them a B. I do not know what the on campus students are like as I do not go on campus.

Academic Flexibility: Being an online student at Ashford is the best. I say this with honesty and proud integrity because it really is convenient and hassle free to be in the comfort of where ever you are and completing your school work. The transfer of my credits from a previous school was simple and only "one" credit out of about 75 was nontransferable. Being a student here is better than I could have imagined and are considering continuing to achieve my Masters in Education and Specializing in English Language Learners. Best.

Career Services: I have not graduated yet. However, being able to be an online student with Ashford and based off of observations made via telephone? I rate this school in this manner because I have not personally met face to face with any advidsor or school council memeber. However, they have ensured I get as far as I can with my education even when I am not a student on campus. The counselors email and call to see how I am doing with studies and even every day life. The counselors show concern and interest that makes attending class at Ashford much more comfortable.

3 College Freshman

Academic Flexibility: I like Ashford because I can finish my degree while I take care of my son and go to work. Sometimes it is a struggle because on some classes you have to read a lot and with work and a baby getting all the reading done it is impossible.

3 College Freshman

Academic Experience: I like everything about the school, besides the work load. They should give full time working mothers more time to finish assignments. Instructor should be more patient with Bilingual students and they should have better instructions for them.

3 College Junior

Tuition & Financial Aid: Well! A thousand dollars a three (3) or 4 credit hour class is a little expensive. In that to failure a class and offset the balance of grants or financial aid can be a problem, because this process also hinder the cost of attendents, which some officials in the financial aid department may not recognize how this impact the student living arrangements.

4 College Junior

Student Body: Most of the students I am sharing discussions with, usually are working, have children or in the military or all three.

4 College Junior

Online Courses: Once I learned how to manage my assignments, tests and papers and the time, I increased my grade point and continued to stay focused on the subject and keep ahead a week.

4 College Junior

Online Courses: Ability to Attend Class Anytime – I love the fact that I can take classes whenever I want. If I can't sleep, I can attend class. I can start my assignemnts ahead of time and complete early.

3 College Junior

Academic Experience: All the classes that you have to take are related to your major. For your electives, you pick the classes that you want. You can opt for a dual major or add a minor with your electives.

3 College Junior

Tuition & Financial Aid: Tuition is a little high. Glad I receive enough financial aid to cover it.

3 College Junior

Student Body: Many people I have encountered online are in the military or currently working. There is little to no interaction outside of class.

4 College Freshman

Campus Resources: I am an online student and every resource in the student portal is always
accessable, unless their is a maintaince schedule and their very good about giving you a notice of maintaince.

5 College Freshman

Academic Experience: I attending AU to get my degree in Healthcare Business and Administration. Since I been attending, I like the way the courses are scheduled because you basically learn to understand the world and behaviors of yourself and people. I really enjoy the way AU have every class to just really flow with the next scheduled course.

5 College Freshman

Student Body: I have been at AU going on two years and I have enjoyed every bit. I enjoy reading the learning material because as the world grow every day you should always want to learn the new and old history, information, and technology. I am an online student and I the flexiablity of the scheduling and how I can maintain having a full-time job, taking care of my 4 children, and completing school on my on schedule and meeting goals at the same time. As I read some post about AU, I have noticed that the online envoriment is much better then the campus life.

5 College Freshman

Academic Flexibility: I can come and go as I please, and still meet my requirements.

3 College Freshman

Tuition & Financial Aid: The tuition is kind of high, when you consider they donor offer any other grants, or help you find other available monies.

3 College Freshman

Tuition & Financial Aid: The tuition is very inexpensive. It is easy to get scholarships through the school and getting good grades is definitely easy. The financial aid office doesn't always keep it's students informed on how much money they will be taking from the government and they are always late on getting back to students who have questions. The amount I am paying for school should not add up to the extremely easy cirriculum from the school. The tuition should be lower due to how easy the College is.

Ashford University provides a great learning experience in a very unique environment. If you ask online Ashford students if they're happy with their choice to attend school there, most would probably say that they would do it all over again if they could, mainly because of its flexibility and convenience with schedules. The instructors are helpful and respond to questions in a timely manner, usually within one to two days. The instructors are helpful and encourage students to constantly look for better answers. Online classes are very convenient to students with complicated schedules; students can complete assignments at their own leisure, yet within the time constraints of deadlines. Most students find no problem completing their assignments.

A drawback of being an online student is that you don't have the opportunity to really check out the organizations or physical resources Ashford offers. However, the University does have an online library that students can go into from the Student Portal. The library is easy to use, and students can usually find most of the sources they need when writing a research paper. Even though it isn't your typical college interaction, the instructors and classmates are friendly and very helpful when you have questions. Students are able to help each other in unique ways. In one case, a student didn't have her book for class yet, and another student was able to scan a copy of the assignment and e-mail an attachment to her. Classmates are also helpful in post discussions and give each other timely advice and wisdom.
