Tuition & Financial Aid: i need to find money for i didn't pass some classes that i need to pay for them ineed to find extra money so i can stay in school

3 College Sophomore

Online Courses: I think its great to interact with classmates and instructors via the on-line class rooms, it eliminates a lot of personality barriers that may have been present in the physical classroom. I also enjoy the fact that classmates not only share with each other, but we also learn by peer critiquing as well. I have found it to be a wonderful option to be able to fit my studies in between all my other many responsiblilities of family dependencies.

3 College Sophomore

Tuition & Financial Aid: The courses and text are educational and knowledge attainment is good, but tuition and fee's are very expensive. However the financial aide department is very good at finding you all the funding you need, wether it be through loans or grants.

5 College Junior

Tuition & Financial Aid: I did not seek financial aid. I do think that you get a quality education for the money.

5 College Junior

Online Courses: Registration was fairly easy, peers are pleasant and energetic, professors are very knowledgable and truely care about the students, the work load can be difficult at times when papers are due, but they are managable.

4 College Senior

Academic Experience: I think that my professors have been very good they always help me when i need help. If I have questions for my student advisor she always responds in a timely manner to me. The academic curriculum is great I am learning alot that I know that I will be able to apply in my field after graduation.

4 College Senior

Academic Experience: I am an early childhoood education major. My classses are great I learn so much for them that will help me with planning curriculum for my class when I become a teacher after graduation. THis program is great I take online classes which allows me to get my education while still working and having my personal life. The workload is nice I can manage my work right into my life schedule

4 College Junior

Online Courses: I've being at A grade since I started in April of 2012

5 College Junior

Academic Experience: I am receiving a Health Care Administration bachelors degree here and every single class on the curriculum has to do with my major/career and all are extremely interesting to me.

Academic Experience: The experience I have had so far with my counselor at Ashford University is wonderful. He was able to answer all of my questions and concerns and if he was unsure about someone instead of saying I don't know, he would promptly direct me to someone who could better help me. Every time I've called and was unsuccessful in reaching him he would promptly return my calls and I called a lot in the beginning when starting my paperwork and enrollment process. :)

Career Services: The quality of the career center was very helpful to me when working on my Masters degree in Early Childhood and Special Ed. It was very easy for me to maintain high quality services, as well as enhance my opportunity to be placed in a school setting of my liking. The alumni network is pretty awesome. I still receive newsletters and information in mail about different sources of information or I can still go to the school site to view info as well. The job prospects I have yet to explore. I started working in the field of early childhood education, and with the degree at hand I have new opportunity to become part of the special education department on the job.

Student Body: Honestly, I was an online student, but at the time of graduation the student body did a great and wonderful job making the students feel welcome, very resourceful, and the school website was very helpful and easily read to finding the information you need. If there wasn't any information available, calling for the right answer was at ease, and the student body knew what they were talking about and how to find the right resource person for further guidance.

3 College Sophomore

Student Body: most of the students i have encountered have been from some branch of the military. they are usually from the Eastern part of the United States. i feel like i am the only westerner that is online sometimes. it is okay though i am not afraid of being alone. :0)

Academic Flexibility: i believe that is the grade i was to receive with one pf my previous classes and i was stumped because i turned all of my assignments in (so i thought). i found that i did not submit my assignment, it was already finished i just spaced it. it was 15% of my grade and it knocked the grade from a C to a D+ and it was not acceptable to me or the school. to make it short i emailed the counselor and the instructor for that course and asked what i could do about turning it in. my counselor suggessted i get a hold of my instructor first and then if that did not work i could always appeal my grade with the proper forms. i then emailed my instructor and he did accept my assignment then he graded it and gave me a grade i felt was appropriate for the work that was submitted. i was pleased that he allowed me to turn it in and that i did not have to go as far as an appeal process. I thank the both of them for their understanding and patience with me.

5 College Senior

Academic Experience: I have enjoyed the interaction with other students and instructors. The work is not difficult if you put in the time to read the material and do the work.

3 College Senior

Academic Flexibility: I enjoy the staff and the courses are not too hard. You definetely get out of them what you put into them. The financial dept is a bit confusing however.

3 College Senior

Academic Flexibility: The reason why I choose this school is because of the affordable tuition There is no hassle or pressures when attending school online. You are able to work at your own pace

5 College Senior

Student Body: The only student body interaction I have is online. But the students I interact with have all been nice individuals who have given helpful feedback on our discussions. I have not encountered any bad situations.

5 College Senior

Campus Resources: The availablility of Ashford's online courses has always been good. Even with natural disasters they still managed to keep everything up and running so there was no delay in the courses. Labs are easy as well, very simple to access and complete.

3 College Senior

Tuition & Financial Aid: To be honest, I'm not sure that the price fits the quality and depth of the material. Each course costs over one thousand dollars, and the price seems to rise every year. On top of that, my financial suddenly dried up, leaving me - without a fair warning - in the terrible position of having to find alternative ways to pay for this. I have enjoyed myself at Ashford, but I can't say that I would recommend it to anyone else.

4 College Freshman

Student Body: I am enrolled in the online portion of Ashford and find that most students have full time jobs and family's, They are working on there education in there free time, they have to be dedicated because it does take time away from there family's but will pay off in the end.

4 College Freshman

Tuition & Financial Aid: I am still new at Ashford but have not have any problems as of today regarding my financial aid

5 College Freshman

Online Courses: The classroom environment is wonderful at Ashford! Not only do you have the discussion boards for interaction, but they even provide a Cafe' for the students to hang out! It is a great way to get to know your fellow students.
The professors are very excited to instruct and their correspondence is fantastic! Some allow you to contact them via telephone, while others prefer email, but either way, they are quick in responding and very helpful!

College Sophomore

Career Services: As of yet I have not availed myself of the career servises at my school. I am a rising junior and will not start looking in that direction until my senior year.

3 College Senior

Tuition & Financial Aid: I thought I would get a little more financial aid. I heard about some stay at mom mothers going back to school not having to pay a dime. I was able to get some, but got awaking when I saw I also had a student loan about $11000.

Ashford University provides a great learning experience in a very unique environment. If you ask online Ashford students if they're happy with their choice to attend school there, most would probably say that they would do it all over again if they could, mainly because of its flexibility and convenience with schedules. The instructors are helpful and respond to questions in a timely manner, usually within one to two days. The instructors are helpful and encourage students to constantly look for better answers. Online classes are very convenient to students with complicated schedules; students can complete assignments at their own leisure, yet within the time constraints of deadlines. Most students find no problem completing their assignments.

A drawback of being an online student is that you don't have the opportunity to really check out the organizations or physical resources Ashford offers. However, the University does have an online library that students can go into from the Student Portal. The library is easy to use, and students can usually find most of the sources they need when writing a research paper. Even though it isn't your typical college interaction, the instructors and classmates are friendly and very helpful when you have questions. Students are able to help each other in unique ways. In one case, a student didn't have her book for class yet, and another student was able to scan a copy of the assignment and e-mail an attachment to her. Classmates are also helpful in post discussions and give each other timely advice and wisdom.
