Campus Resources: I didn't have any serious issues while achieving my BA. Tech support was available and the teachers were great about helping also.

Online Courses: I enjoyed Ashford and received my bachelors degree with a 3.98 GPA. I loved the platform and the length of courses seemed just right. I wish the courses offered differing modalities though. I got burnt out on writing papers. I chose a different University for my Master's Degree just for the purpose of doing something different.

Academic Experience: My class work load is not excessive, in fact it is about what I expected. The curriculum is appropriate and my professors my learning to fit the curriculum and assist with individual learning needs. My classes have been interesting, fun, and informative. I am really glad I chose Ashford as my University.

Campus Resources: As an on-line student I have to depend that the on-line services will be available. While occasionally there is a problem signing on, it is always resolved quickly. I have never had an assignment turned in late due to the network being unavailable. Since I am an on-line student a computer is essential, however a printer is not needed unless you absolutely want to download the text from any of the resources as opposed to saving it on your computer.

Tuition & Financial Aid: The tuition prices were very reasonable. I was able to receive financial aid and my financial supervisor was great when answering my questions.

Tuition & Financial Aid: Getting a good education is not cheap, I could possibly pay less somewhere else but It is also not the most expensive. think financial aid may be modified depending on the cost.
Be sure to get forms updated promptly.

Academic Flexibility: Ashford University has made it very easy for me to attend college. Being disabled, it is a big plus that they have a disability services department. Even though I am an on-line student they offer many helpful solutions to unique needs. Everyone at Ashford has been very helpful from the first day I contacted them. I am very pleased with the staff and Professors.

Academic Flexibility: I did extensive research before choosing a school. Everything I wanted to accomplish pointed me toward Ashford University.
The convenience of online school is amazing and I wouldn't change.

Online Courses: My anxiety about going back to school was quickly put to rest once I started and things seemed to flow very nicely.
I enjoy the convenience of creating my own time management plan and i am able to attend class (of sorts) in the early morning hours before my household is disrupted with activity.

Student Body: The student body is diverse. Your class can have anyone from their 20s to into their 50s - all seeking a degree.

3 College Senior

Career Services: I haven't had an opportunity to use it yet, but they have offered resume writing, have an alumni network and more.

4 College Senior

Academic Flexibility: It's been very convenient. Transferring hours was easy and most of mine were from 20 years ago.

4 College Senior

Online Courses: Most of the instructors are great and give you the feedback you need. Going to school online is quite different and students need to be prepared for that. Taking one class every five weeks enables me to manage my time effectively. There is a robust student population available through facebook groups that help fellow students out with questions about instructors, courses, financial aid and more.

Academic Flexibility: Most teachers I have not had to ask for flexibility. All classes have a schedule we have to follow, you can work ahead, but they usually tell you not to be late. I recently had a death in the family and a teacher gave me a day extension I was hoping for a few days because I had left home in a hurry with none of my stuff ie: laptop and books. However,, it is also a speed course and a day can be like missing a week.

Online Courses: I was scared to take online, but after reviewing many colleges most I could not afford, or could not attend hours or if I did it would be farther away until I graduated. I chose Ashford because the offered me a grant 10% off tuition and books are free which is a HUGE help for being a Head Start teacher. This made it seem more possible, with no financial aid for me to qualify for the books alone make it easier that is $85 a class out of pocket i would have been paying. The online teachers have been great, I have only had a hard time with two in my time with Ashford. I even passed a math class, due to this awesome math program that walked you through the steps of the problems until you got each type of problem correct three times. I have been happy and successful.

4 College Senior

Student Body: Most of the students I have interacted seem to be busy in the military or with jobs or as parents. I do the online portion with Ashford for I too work full time.

3 College Senior

Tuition & Financial Aid: I like that I was able to receive a Grant for being a Head Start teacher, and I qualified for school loans. I just cannot believe I did not qualify for any help or aid. I truly believe that car payments should be looked at when considering what people make. Also, I have been enrolled 1.5 years at Ashford and tuition has gone up twice in less than two years, and we were up against accreditation. that was a little stressful not knowing if all my hard work and money was going to pay off.

College Junior

Campus Resources: I do not attend a campus, just online classes so I can not rate this school in those terms.

4 College Junior

Campus Resources: The library resource is not necessarily user friendly.

3 College Junior

Campus Resources: I am an online student, My advisers frequently do not get back to me with answers to my questions. Many times when they do it is too late. Also the instructors are lax in getting back to me as well. Especially when I am working on a time line to complete papers.

2 College Sophomore

Online Courses: due dates for assignments were odd dates to me. some due dates were so close together that it made it hard to complete both.

Student Body: I believe that most of the students could do better if the teachers pushed more and interacted more. Most just let the students get by with the lest they need to do

Tuition & Financial Aid: I am not offered any help with my studies and the do not off any tuitions or aid to help with finances

3 College Sophomore

Campus Resources: The Ashford writing center is a great resource and got me on track with APA format. It also provides great ways to form a paper to be successful. When writing research papers or just do gain some knowledge, I go to the Ashford library. There is easy to use search engines to find credible scholarly resources.

4 College Sophomore

Student Body: A lot of the students in my classes are returning back to school, so we have the same feelings about taking on old subjects. I have come to find that students at Ashford have came back to school determined to better themselves. That is the reason why I came back, and it is soothing to know that we are all willing to work through the same problems. This type of attitude motivates me because everyone wants to be there.

Ashford University provides a great learning experience in a very unique environment. If you ask online Ashford students if they're happy with their choice to attend school there, most would probably say that they would do it all over again if they could, mainly because of its flexibility and convenience with schedules. The instructors are helpful and respond to questions in a timely manner, usually within one to two days. The instructors are helpful and encourage students to constantly look for better answers. Online classes are very convenient to students with complicated schedules; students can complete assignments at their own leisure, yet within the time constraints of deadlines. Most students find no problem completing their assignments.

A drawback of being an online student is that you don't have the opportunity to really check out the organizations or physical resources Ashford offers. However, the University does have an online library that students can go into from the Student Portal. The library is easy to use, and students can usually find most of the sources they need when writing a research paper. Even though it isn't your typical college interaction, the instructors and classmates are friendly and very helpful when you have questions. Students are able to help each other in unique ways. In one case, a student didn't have her book for class yet, and another student was able to scan a copy of the assignment and e-mail an attachment to her. Classmates are also helpful in post discussions and give each other timely advice and wisdom.
