Academic Experience: My last instructor had graded our class papers, and he stated that everyone had done the assignment wrong. Well I did not, and asked him to re-grade. We finished the class last week and he still has not looked over my assignment. There has been no response yet.

Career Services: I have not had the opportunity to use the career center yet.

I can work on my assignments whenever I need to, and that is why I decided on Ashford.

Student Body: I believe that my school consist of students that had full time jobs and families. I was able to attend this school online and from interacting with my classmates many where coming back to school after 15-20 year breaks. They had full time jobs as well as families. They were able to use their experiences in many of the course work.

Academic Flexibility: The reason I give this school an A+ because it was easy for me to contact teachers, counselors and etc... when or if a problems occur or if I have a question. This school was able to assist me in transferring all my credits from previous schools and allowing me to continue with my education. The online classroom was easy to navigate through and it was convenient for me. Ashford University also has an Apple App that allowed me to complete discussion boards when I was unable to be near a computer. This school is very military friendly; all forms can be submitted online such as a military drop which I thought that was awesome because of the lack of printers and fax machines that are around during deployment.

Academic Flexibility: I have found it to be convenient to be taking online classes. I am a single mom with children therefore, trying to shuffle four kids on top of school work could be a bit challenging, but with attending an online college, my degree feels like a few clicks away.

Career Services: So far, everyone appears to be helpful. I am currently experiencing issues with getting my transcripts from my previous school requested, however, I have taken the liberty of getting it myself. Just need to ensure it would get to the right person.

Tuition & Financial Aid: Tuition is awesome! Extremely affordable and the financial aid office is on top of their game.

Campus Resources: I am attending Ashford-Online. However the online student center and library are excellent resources and very easy to navigate.

Academic Flexibility: There are several reasons I chose this school! Flexibility, price, length of classes, degree program. Great school!

Tuition & Financial Aid: My financial package has been great, however I have depleted what is available to me federally, which is why I am seeking other channels of financial aid to complete my degree on schedule in March of 2014.

Academic Flexibility: My experience has be excellent. Obviously there will always be hurdles, however I have always been met with the will to investigate and resolve any issues that I may encounter.

Online Courses: Online classes concerning workload is without a doubt intense, yet manageable if approach ed with the seriousness needed for the accomplishment of any worthwhile endeavor. The registration process was straightforward and the professor/student relationships are professional and appropriate to the environment.

Student Body: The model is online. Military personnel seem to be a major component of my cohort, with general labor individuals. The individuals seem to be attempting to increase their marketability in the workforce through higher education. Many appear to currently balance work life and college courses.

Career Services: I have not checked to see what type of post-grad services there are yet.

Campus Resources: Since I am attending online, I do not have access to campus resources.

Online Courses: I would prefer a classroom setting, but Ashford has made it possible for me to go to school online. As a single working mother, I cannot attend traditional classes. Online learning fit my current situation and Ashford has been great so far. The workload of a few courses has been overwhelming, but I made it through and even made the Dean's List. I look forward to earning my degree.

Tuition & Financial Aid: Ashford's staff went above and beyond to help me get my financial aid. I would have likely given up and not enrolled from frustration if my advisors had not held my hand and guided me through the process. I am very grateful for all the help and will be beginning my second year in September.

Academic Flexibility: When I first started at the community college, advising didn't help me as much as I would have liked or as Ashford University advising does. I feel that if I would have had better advising before transferring I probably would have my bachelor's degree completed or closer than I am now. I feel that my experience at Ashford University has been a great experience, I have learned alot more at this college than I did at the other college I attended. It seems that the other students and instructors are more respectful and are there to learn instead of not taking their education as seriously as I do.

Career Services: It is hard for many students to find a decent job immediatly after graduating since they are still new at what they just finished. The career center does have job opportunities, but many employers are looking for so much experience.

5 College Senior

Online Courses: I prefer taking online courses rather than traditional classroom since I can work at my own pace, as well as have extra time to do homework and read my textbook instead of traveling to school and sitting in the classroom for that time. Traditional classrooms you get to meet face to face with classmates and instructors, but initially I am getting my education to learn and not socialize with alot of people since education is important to me.

4 College Senior

Career Services: I get emails inviting me to use the career center. There is help with resumes and networking.

4 College Senior

Campus Resources: The student portal is always available when I need it and runs fast and smooth.

3 College Senior

Campus Resources: The online resources are great. Everything is easy to find and use. The instructors are helpful and quick to respond to emails.

Ashford University provides a great learning experience in a very unique environment. If you ask online Ashford students if they're happy with their choice to attend school there, most would probably say that they would do it all over again if they could, mainly because of its flexibility and convenience with schedules. The instructors are helpful and respond to questions in a timely manner, usually within one to two days. The instructors are helpful and encourage students to constantly look for better answers. Online classes are very convenient to students with complicated schedules; students can complete assignments at their own leisure, yet within the time constraints of deadlines. Most students find no problem completing their assignments.

A drawback of being an online student is that you don't have the opportunity to really check out the organizations or physical resources Ashford offers. However, the University does have an online library that students can go into from the Student Portal. The library is easy to use, and students can usually find most of the sources they need when writing a research paper. Even though it isn't your typical college interaction, the instructors and classmates are friendly and very helpful when you have questions. Students are able to help each other in unique ways. In one case, a student didn't have her book for class yet, and another student was able to scan a copy of the assignment and e-mail an attachment to her. Classmates are also helpful in post discussions and give each other timely advice and wisdom.
